The two queens of Ayodhya were pacing towards King's chamber. They both entered the chamber.

"Maharaj is it true? Our sons are comming home? " beamed Kaushalya

"Yes Kaushalya. Your sons are coming home. I just received a letter from Guru Vashisht saying that our sons are doing great and are learning well. Seeing their progress he is willing to send them for a vacation for an entire month. "beamed Dashrath

Both the queens looked at each other happily and hugged.
"Our sons are coming home didi. After two years they are comming home" beamed Sumitra

"Yes Sumitra. They must have changed a lot. We have a lot to do. We have to welcome our sons. We have a lot of preparations to do" said an equally excited Kaushalya

"Kaushalya take a breath. You have an entire week to prepare calm your excitement " said Dashrath while both Dashrath and Sumitra giggled seeing Kaushalya's excitement.

Suddenly Sumitra stopped giggling as if thinking something.

"Maharaj you won't understand a mother's heart. You want to make fun of me you surely can but we are busy my sons are arriving after 2 years i have a lot to prepare so excuse us please. Come Sumitra. " said an irritated Kaushalya while Dashrath was still laughing.

But Sumitra was in her thoughts. She didn't realise Kaushalya calling her.

"Sumitraaa!!" exclaimed Kaushalya

Sumitra broke out of her thoughts

"hmm"

"Where are you lost? What are you thinking? " asked Dashrath

"Isn't Kaikeyi didi scheduled to leave for Kakeya next week." replied Sumitra

"Yes that's right but what is worrying....." before Kaushalya could complete realisation dawned upon her and Dashrath

"but the kids are coming back" stated Dashrath

"Exactly!! Didi will again cancel her plans for Kakeya. She has not visited Kakeya since a very long time and King Ashwapati has sent a lot of invitations plus Maharaj you have given a word that didi will visit them next week. You cannot go back on your word neither we can force her to go when the kids are comming back after two years. She misses them a lot. We all do." stated Sumitra

The joyful atmosphere of the room turned tensed within seconds.

"Sumitra is right. We have to do something. Kaikeyi has to go to Kakeya at any cost. " pointed Dashrath.

"Maharaj can we postpone their visit. Like call them next month or so. " asked Kaushalya with a very heavy heart.

"No Kaushalya. You know once the kids leave for gurukul they are not allowed to come home. It is just because of my fe.......... um"

Dashrath immediately bit his tongue he was about to reveal the curse but he didn't know that Sumitra already knew about it and she saw his helplessness from the corner of her eye while sighing in relief that he didn't reveal anything to Kaushalya.

"i mean it is only because of my sons calibre that he is sending them this month because they have already done what others will be taught. I cannot tell him to send them later"
said Dashrath with guilt of keeping a secret from his family. Though this was not completely false the four of them were indeed fast learners that is why they are getting such a long break.

"Maharaj is right didi. We cannot do this. I think we have to call of their plan this time we have to wait for more years to see our sons. " said Sumitra tears forming her eyes.

"No. Please" said Dashrath and Kaushalya at the same time.

"Maharah, Sumitra i cannot wait more to see my sons. Please do something. We should convince kakeyanaresh to let send Kaikeyi back early. I know it is difficult for her to leave her sons and go to kakeya but she will understand plus i know she will also not like if we cancel their plans. "

"But the point is will Kaykeyanaresh agree to send her soon? Trust me i don't think so. "

This conversation went on for another half an hour and after that it was decided that Bharat and Shatrughan will accompany Kaikeyi to Kekaya this way she will have two of her sons with her and won't be alone. Plus understanding that they are home for only a month they will let Kaikeyi leave soon. Though the three of them were sad but still convinced as there was no other option. Now the three of them left for Kaikeyi's chamber to give them the news of their sons returning also convincing her for the plan.

NEXT DAY

The royal family of Ayodhya along with Arya Sumantra(the most trusted minister of King Dashrath who was almost like a family)were in the living room discussing about the preparations to be done for the princes arrival. All of them though were a bit sad but very excited to welcome their children.

just then a soldier arrived.

"Your highness. A messanger has arrived from Mithila. He is seeking permission to meet you" said the soldier.

"Rajrishi Janak's massenger?. Bring him in with due respect" said astonished Dashrath.

The soldier went to bring him in

"Rajrishi Janak's message. Its very strange. " said Dashrath

The messanger entered.

"Greetings Ayodhyanaresh. I have brought Rajrishi Janaks message for you " the messanger bowed.

Arya Sumantra took the scroll from him and read it.

"What's the matter Sumantra. Is everything fine at Mithila. What has Rajrishi Janak written in his message?"

"Maharaj this an invitation from Mithila. They want you along with the entire family to visit Mithila"

"Along with the entire family. But why? " questioned Kaikeyi

"As a tonken of thanks. They want to show their gratitude to Ayodhya for their constant help to Mithila during the time of drought welcoming all of you to Mithila. " pointed Sumatra

"Oh God! How many times did i tell Rajrishi Janak that don't feel burdened about it. He is my friend and i won't like it if he will mention this again" said Dashrath

Sumantra chuckled a bit.

"That's the catch Maharaj. Rajrishi Janak remembers this that is why the invitation is not from him. "

"What do you mean? Then who has sent the invitation?" said the four of them together

"The princesses of Mithila. Yes the invitation is sent by Rajrishi's daughters. He says that his daughters want to meet the Royal family of Ayodhya anf thank you personally for your support and he says he remembers your statement but he has to fulfill his daughters wish and has requested you on their behalf to visit Mithila" said Sumantra

"Okay. Maharaj i have heard a lot about his daughters. Everyone says they are just like their father even at such a young age they are declared as the true heir to his wisdom. I would love to meet them. " requested Sumitra

"I agree! Other wise also we will sit here and miss Kaikeyi, Bharat and Shatrughan. I think we should keep his request. " said Kaushalya

"Plus it would be very beneficial for Ram and Lakshman to meet such a personality they would learn a lot from him and his thoughts " pointed Sumitra.

"I too agree" said Kaikeyi

"You three are right. Even i agree. Sumantra see to the comfort of the messanger and send my reply to Mithila that Rajrishi is a special friend of mine so his daughters are my daughters and i will definitely keep their wish. Me, Kaushalya, Sumitra along with Ram and lakshman will definitely visit them next week. "
