Can I be real with you guys? Just for a minute?

Thanks, I just really need to get this out real quick. Don't worry, it won't take long, I promise you.

*lights dim* It's time to get serious.

Personally? I hate end of the year projects.

WITH A PASSION!

And why?

It's not so much as the amount of work that drives me nuts, cause I mean come on, whatever you're given to work on is going to count for 30% of your mark. Doesn't matter! Even if it's just writing one small essay about something, it's going to cost you like, a quarter and a half of your grade.

The thing that really, really bothers me is the amount of TIME you are given to work on the projects.

Like, maybe 2-3 weeks before exams start is perfectly fine, especially since there are so many projects to do for all of your classes.

But a MONTH and sometimes a MONTH and a HALF, BEFORE?!

I understand the teachers are doing that as a strategy to help out the students, that way when they get it done at the time the projects are NORMALLY given out, it's one less project to worry about.

That bit I understand/respect completely.

But the only thing that urches me about this, is that when you do finish the projects or finish a good 95% of it, you're just going to be all like...

"What the heck am I supposed to do now?"

Like, you'll have NOTHING to do.

You may think that since you finished all of your work, you get to go chill and do fun stuff, but nope!

Your parents will STILL be expecting you to do some work, because technically, school's not over yet. I mean sure, once the summatives arrive, teachers aren't allowed to give you anymore tests and homework. (Another of the only things I like about summatives). But still, the school year isn't over yet.

Which means your parents will want you to pour all of your blood and sweat into these projects to get the best possible mark... until exams roll around in June :/

But luckily for me, I don't have any exams this year!
