Chapter Three
You Know I Only Like You Following Me Around

3rd Person POV

Indiana woke up to her phone ringing and she groaned as she rolled over in bed and sighed. she picked up her phone after she read who it was

"Marcus? its 6 in the morning, what the hell could you possibly need?" she asked and she heard him laugh under his breathe

"stables Indi, come on or ill bring monty and pick you up" he stated and she laughed as she sat up and put her hair up in a ponytail

"I like the latter" she spoke and he laughed again

"ill be there soon" he said and he ended the call before she finally got up out of bed. she got dressed as she made her bed and made sure that her door was locked. her dad had stayed downstairs, they had talked slightly the night before. it was short and awkward but Indiana didn't want to stay around him for too long so she went to bed early.

"INDIANA LETS GO" she heard someone yell and she looked outside her window to see Marcus sitting there on monty as he held macs lead. she smiled and she climbed out of her window before she dropped down and climbed onto mac

"you seem to do that a lot" he said to her and she nodded as they began to trot to the stables

"you know how dad is, I have to sneak out every morning and see him every night. that's just how it is Marcus, I got used to doing that" She responded and he sighed as he clicked his tongue and Monty began to gallop with mac following close behind them

"LAST ONE TO THE STABLES IS A ROTTEN EGG" He yelled back and he started to ride along fastly.Indiana gasped as she clicked her tongue and tugged on macs reins making him go faster. They got to the stables quickly , Marcus obviously winning

"I won" he said proudly

"you cheated" she retorted and he gasped before he nodded and laughed. they hopped off of mac and Monty

"Marcus I need you to go check the leak in the shed after you tack them up" Sam said to him and he nodded as he led monty to his stall and Indiana led Mac to his. Their stalls had conveniently been next to each other and they had an area that connected them

"you coming with me to the shed?" he asked and she nodded as he held out his hand. she looked to see monty and mac untacked and eating their hay calmly

"yeah, lets go" she said and she wrapped her hand around his as they walked to the shed. They walked over to the sink together and Marcus opened the cabinet as he began to check everything. out of nowhere, when he tapped something, two pieces of paper came falling out and they looked at it together

"what the hell is this?" Indiana asked as they opened it and stared at the mapds together. Indiana automatically knew what they were but Marcus took a second

"are Becky and jade tracking me and you?" he asked as he looked at the map he was holding and the one she was holding.

"yeah I think so" she exclaimed and then the door opened. marcus and Indiana watched as zoe walked in and went to the hats. she grabbed one and went to put it on but it didn't fit

"looks a little small" Indiana called out and she leaned up as did Marcus as they smiled at zoe

"Marcus, indi. are you two hiding?" She asked them and Marcus made eye contact with Indiana as she laughed and shook her head

"us, no. sam just wanted us to check if we still had that leak, yep. we need to fix that" Indiana said and Marcus smiled at her attempt to pretend

"indi" Marcus said and Indiana sighed as she pulled out the maps

" we think becky and jade are stalking us" Indiana stated

"I'm sure that's not true" Zoe retorted

" look zoe, we found these. they're like maps of us,following us around , tracking our every movements everyday" Indiana exclaimed

"you should be flattered," Zoe said and Indiana thought for a second but Marcus nudged her and she snapped out of it

"we've got enough to do without girls following us around," Marcus said and Zoe looked at Indiana who smiled and winked. It was no lie that Indiana liked girls and to be quite honest, she did feel flattered but she only ever wanted one person to flirt with her and his head was too far shoved into his work.

"aw, poor Marcus and Indiana. don't like being adored by all the girls in the yard. I'm kidding, ill talk to them" zoe exclaimed

"thank you zoe, try the one on the top shelf," Indiana said and zoe grabbed it as she put it on

"oh perfect" Zoe spoke and Indiana smiled as Zoe walked out of the shed. they stayed in the shed as they stared at the papers. Marcus leaned his head on Indiana's shoulder and she leaned her head on his as she smiled

"you know I only like you following me around," Marcus said and Indiana nudged him as they both smiled

"oh is that right?" she asked and he smiled at her as he nodded before they looked at the time and stood up again

"I have to get some instructor time in, come with me while I watch and help zoe" He said and she nodded as they grabbed each other's hand and they walked out to the arena. Indiana leaned against the fencing as she watched Marcus with Zoe but she didn't feel jealous. she was proud of him, being an instructor had always been his dream and she watched him help Zoe. she smile as she watched zoe discover her passion for riding, that was until she watched zoe get off and run to her phone and then run off. she looks at Marcus and sam as they looked at her in worry but they stayed in the arena with sam

"ill get major back to his stall" Indiana volunteered and they both smiled at her as she grabbed his reins and led him to his stall. she untacked him and walked out only to hear zoe

"HES IN HERE! I CAUGHT HIM" she yelled and Indiana made eye contact with Marcus

"what? are you okay?" sam asked as she walked out of her office, Marcus following close behind

"no, I caught pin breaking into the medical cabinet. He's the one who's been stealing the sedatives" Zoe said and Pin walked out as sam walked up with Marcus and indi not too far behind

"I gave you a chance. This is how you repay me? Get Ted" Sam asked pin and then looked at Indiana

"he might be involved" Indiana said with Marcus

"pin, I'm sorry but i think i'd better call the police" sam said

"do it" He said and he followed after sam. Indiana followed Marcus until they heard a noise in the yard. Indiana looked at Marcus before she ran in with the others to see raven out of his stall. Indiana stood close to zoe as raven fought against zoe and didn't calm down for her. he calmed down for Indiana though

"its alright , come on" she said and she helped raven into fireflys stable as she looked at the others. Zoe sat down and then mia walked in with firefly

"hey Marcus we should walk them home" Indiana said to him but mia interrupted

"oh, gosh! zoe, all your dreams are coming true" mia spoke and Indiana scoffed

"excuse me?" zoe asked in confusion

"don't even need the videos of Marcus and  Indiana anymore. You've got the real thing" Mia stated

"what do you mean?" Marcus and Indiana asked

"oh, they've been spying on YouTube. They even set up cameras and everything" Mia said and she played a voice recording of zoe admitting it. Indiana scoffed as she looked at them

"we were tracking pin" Zoe tried

"i don't believe this" Marcus stated

"okay.rosie" zoe said and she walked off and away from everyone else. Indiana sighed to herself before she walked back to macs stall and got on him. she looked around as she led him out and climbed onto him .

she wasn't comfortable , not even at stables. she didn't even feel comfortable around Marcus knowing that they were being recorded

why couldn't she feel comfortable anymore?
