Got addicted to Fate Grand Order not too long ago. If you don't know what that is, it's a popular game from the Fate franchise with several anime adaptations. Going to do the whole series for Babylonia, which is about 21 episodes. There's a link to a website for the episode.

"Now," Zack said, "This viewing will be unique."

"More than the space one with the giant bugs?" Ruby asked.

"Don't remind us," Blake shuddered. So many people dead. She didn't even get the courtesy of dying on her feet, getting killed in a crashed landing.

"This one is longer, divided into twenty-one episodes," Zack said. "It's about two heroes time travelling to save the world, meeting a bunch of very famous individuals along the way. It's also a very complex branch of the multiverse."

"Fascinating," Oobleck said.

"Time travel is possible?" Ironwood asked. "How?"

"There are a variety of methods," Zack said. "Some safer than others. Some better off never being used." That reminded him, Terminator, yes or no? Maybe Doctor Who. Meh, that was a problem for twenty chapters later.

"How interesting," Ozpin said.

"Let's start," Zack said as it began.

THIS IS THE FIRST AGE WHEN HUMANITY AND THE GODS PART WAYS.

"Humanity and the gods what now!?" Neptune said.

Ozpin and Salem were silent after reading that sentence. They remembered what happened when the Brother Gods left Remnant. It was not pretty.

'Still,' Salem mused, 'their departure was one of the best things to ever happen to humanity. Though the God of Darkness could have took away his, now mine, pets as well. That would have done a world of good towards human development.'

Ozpin wondered how the separation went. Was it a gradual, peaceful thing or was it as explosive as how they left Remnant? Was magic still widely available to humanity and not confined to six individuals? So many questions.

"Gods? Preposterous," Jacques snorted.

"Fou!" a white creature barked behind him.

"Gah!" Jacques was startled by the sudden appearance of the creature. "What is that!"

Zack paled at seeing the fluffy white critter. "What are you doing here!?"

"Fou! Fou, Fou!"

Zack calmed down. "I see."

"Aww, who's this little fella?" Weiss asked as she began patting the creature. Zwei trotted over to meet the newcomer.

The two animals stared at each other, before the creature turned its head to enjoy Weiss petting.

"Aww," Ruby hugged her dog, giving it head pats. "Zwei made a new friend. What is it anyway?"

"Its name is Fou," Zack said. "Cath Pulag technically but he didn't like the guy who named it that so answers to Fou now."

"Fou! Fou! Fou!" (Special translation: Kill Merlin!)

"What is it?" Mercury asked. "Doesn't look like any animal in Remnant."

"He's one of a kind," Zack said. "Don't worry about him. Just enjoy the show."

The scene changed to a rainy night. There's lightning and thunder as the waves crashed into the coast.

On the shore, a blond-haired man held the unmoving body of a green-haired person of indeterminate gender. The body, made of clay, started to break apart in the rain.

"Well, this is starting off great," Roman said sarcastically.

"Is that clay?" Pyrrha said.

"And does that blond man look familiar?" Saphron asked.

The blond-haired man, hair covering his eyes, said something unheard in his grief. In his hand, clay from the corpse as he stood up and stared off into the storm.

The blond-haired man woke from his rest, revealing red eyes as he sat on his throne. It is a grown up Jaune.

"Jaune!" Saphron said. "Why do you have red eyes? Is it an infection, disease? Have you been doing things you shouldn't be?"

"Saph, I'm fine," Jaune said. "Though why do I have red eyes?"

"It's a common trait among those with divine blood over there," Zack said.

"I have what now?!" Jaune exclaimed.

"Jaune-Jaune is a god!?" Nora exclaimed.

"Demigod," Zack corrected. "He's two thirds god."

He walked to the top of the building, looking to the night sky. There, he saw six stars that were brighter than the rest and in the middle was one that was not as bright but still noticeably brighter than the other stars. He looked toward the screen, staring right at the audience.

"And has clairvoyance," Zack said, annoyed. No doubt Merlin would do the same later.

"Gah! That's creepy!" Emerald said.

"Why do I feel like my life just flashed through my eyes," Cinder wondered.

"Oh?" he said. "So, you will arrive, Chaldea? The lone candlelight which illuminates many a star!"

He spread out his arms. "Then, come forth! To this land where the times of gods and deeds of humans intersect! O humanity's final Master!"

The camera zoomed out, showing the ancient city in all of its glory before pointing to the sky, revealing a giant glowing ring.

Fate/Grand Order - Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia

"That's not natural, is it?" Clover asked.

"Not at all," Zack said. "It's several times hotter than the sun and larger than a continent. It's not very relevant right now though."

"The big ring in the sky is not important, that's new," Robyn muttered.

The scene changed to a blizzard. A base high in the mountains the lone bastion against the snow.

The Atlesians grimaced.

"Looks like Mantle during the height of winter," Whitley said.

"It might actually be worse," Ironwood said. "Though it would be very remote."

"Who would build a base there?" Summer asked. That place was freezing.

"Someone who doesn't want it found," Watts mused.

Inside, a replica of the planet is shown spinning. Technicians monitoring it and going about their duties.

In the empty hallways, a lone individual ran to her destination. A small fluffy creature raced after her.

"Look, it's Fou!" Coco pointed out.

"Fou!"

The girls cooed over the cute critter, making Zwei jealous.

"Bark!"

"Aww, is Zwei feeling left out?" Yang asked as she hugged the dog.

"So much cuteness..." several of the older ladies said.

In the command centre, technicians continue working as a black-haired young man in his late teens and an orange-haired man in a lab coat looked at a monitor.

The purple-haired girl reached the door, brushing her hair as the door opened.

The two men turned towards her. The black-haired man is shown to have blue eyes while the orange-haired man is revealed to be Ozpin.

"New hairstyle?" Qrow asked Ozpin.

"Orange? Not bad," Ozpin said. Wouldn't be his first choice, but he had weirder colours in the past.

"We share a hair colour now, professor!" Nora exclaimed.

"I as well," Penny said.

"Morning," the black-haired and blue-eyed man said.

The purple-haired girl blinked for a few moments, before smiling. "Good morning, Senpai. Mash Kyrielight, arriving for duty! Though I'm late by two minutes. I'm terribly sorry."

"Morning, Mash," Ozpin greeted.

"Good morning, Dr. Ozpin," Mash said.

"You're a doctor, headmaster?" Ruby asked.

"I'm passable as a medic, but not quite," Ozpin answered, though he did know enough to be a doctor if necessary.

"Are you sure you're okay?" the black-haired man asked in concern.

"Yes," Mash answered. "I'm 100% recovered."

"Good. That's a relief."

"Sorry to have worried you."

"Well then," Ozpin said. "Fujimaru, Mash. Now that both of you are here, let's start the briefing."

"Okay!" the two replied.

"Fou!" From Mash's hoodie, Fou gave his reply as well.

Technicians began final preparations as Ozpin briefed the two.

"Ah, pre-mission briefings," Clover said. "How often do we usually face something not covered by it?"

"Too often," Winter said.

"Can't be helped," Ironwood said. "Intelligence can only do so much, and Grimm don't like sticking to the script."

Salem rolled her eyes. As if she would make things easy for them. Sure most Grimm attacked on instinct but she occasionally took control, for better results.

"As of 7 AM today," Ozpin said, "we at Chaldea have completed preparations for the Rayshift to the Seventh Singularity."

A hologram appeared in front of them, displaying information regarding their next mission.

"The last Singularity," Ozpin continued, "the seventh Grail that Solomon sent into the past himself. My hopes for its recovery rest with you."

"The day's finally here," Fujimaru said.

"Yes," Mash said.

"The lost year, 2017, is fast approaching," Ozpin said. "No matter what the cost..."

"We must eradicate the cause of the incineration of humanity," Mash finished.

"You're right," Ozpin said. "That's the goal of the Grand Order."

"The incineration of what now!?" Cinder said, wondering if she heard that right.

Salem flashbacked to when the Brother Gods did it. Ozpin only saw the aftermath, she experienced it first-hand. So much devastation in so little time.

"The Human Incineration Order," Zack said. "A grand plan thousands of years in the making, all to eradicate the current human order."

"Who would do such a thing?" Summer asked, horrified.

Even Salem merely wished to rule over humanity, not destroy it.

"A ritual gone wrong," Zack said, not wishing to go into details regarding Goetia. What was Solomon thinking when he made that system.

Ozpin wondered what kind of ritual led to the incineration of humanity. Sure, he knew of a few rather destructive ones utilised by this or that tyrant back when the gods still walked on Remnant, but at most, they would devastate a small region, not the entire world.

Scene cuts to the past Singularities that the two have cleared.

"Orleans," Two identical girls with differing colour schemes, a petite girl in a dress and a man are shown.

"Septem," A red dressed girl was shown. Behind her, a dark-skinned girl, a man in a helmet and two other girls.

"Okeanos," A pink-haired woman in a naval captain's outfit was shown with her ship in the background.

"London," A blond-haired girl in red armour was shown. Next to her are a blond-haired man in a biker's outfit, a girl with fox ears and a man shooting out lightning from his gauntleted hand.

"American continent," A white-haired woman in a red uniform and pouch is shown. Next to her are a pale man with a spear, a dark-skinned man with a bow and a pink-haired woman wearing a tiara.

"... and Camelot." Several knights in different armours are shown.

"Do some of the girls shown earlier look like our sisters?" Jaune asked.

"Yeah, they do," Saphron said. "What's up with that?"

"A phenomenon that transcends time," Zack said. "It's not important, unless a certain Assassin shows up."

"We've made all sorts of journeys and come this far," Ozpin continued. "And we're about to Rayshift to one of the world's oldest civilizations in 2600 B.C., the end of the Age of Gods. The land of ancient Mesopotamia..."

"A world before the Christian Era," Mash said.

The door opened and the two cried out in surprised.

"Indeed!" the new arrival said. "Just the process of getting there makes this tougher than any previous Singularity!"

The brown-haired, blue-eyed Glynda posed dramatically.

"Looking good, professor," Yang said.

Ironwood looked at the Glynda on screen then to the one on the audience. They looked identical, barring the colouration.

"She seems more expressive than ours," Oobleck said.

"Why, it reminds me of when I was still a teacher's assistant and she was a student," Port said.

Glynda looked mortified at how her onscreen self was acting like her teenage days. There goes her reputation as a disciplinarian.

The students were unable to process this version of the Deputy Headmistress. Professor Goodwitch, upbeat and cheerful? This really was an alternate universe.

"Da Vinci!" the two said together.

"Another good reaction out of you guys," Da Vinci said and winked.

"I appreciate it. I mean, genius is measured by how much surprise one can generate!" She walked over to them.

"Is it now?" Watts said.

"Wouldn't that make you a rather mediocre genius?" Cinder said. "Seeing as how you never surprised us."

"Why you!" Watts said, outraged at his genius being questioned.

"Well, you don't have to surprise us, you know," Ozpin said.

"What kind of response is that? How boring!" Da Vinci said. "Now, I shall give you a small lecture."

She began her lecture. "Mesopotamia is a civilization that flourished between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers that flowed into the Persian Gulf. And we're headed now to the age of first kings."

"They say it was at this point the Age of Gods came to an end," Ozpin said.

"Fascinating," Oobleck said as he scribbled away on a notepad. Oh, how he wished he was there. To be able to personally experience the past upfront. To live through it rather than speculating based on what was left behind. A historian's wet dream.

"Age of Gods?" Robyn asked.

"It was the time when its end became certain," Zack explained. "It clung on for a while longer, but by 700 B.C., the Age of Gods came to an end, eventually leading to the Age of Man."

"What was that about the age of first kings?" Weiss asked.

"Mesopotamia was one of the first great civilizations," Zack said. "It's influence can still be felt in the modern era, despite ending thousands of years ago. The singularities are irregularities that disrupted the course of human history, leading to its incineration. Imagine if humanity never learned to utilise Dust."

"That would lead to a drastically different history," Winter said. "Or our extinction. So by introducing these singularities, humanity wass destroyed?"

"More or less," Zack said.

"It means that it's a time when gods and monsters still coexisted," Fujimaru said.

"You're correct," Ozpin confirmed. "But we don't have time to worry about that."

"You heard him," Da Vinci said. "You've restored six Singularities so far. You should be more confident with yourself. On my honour as a genius, I hereby swear that I will flawlessly prove your existence. So, don't worry about a thing! Get out there and go have a grand adventure!"

"Leonardo's statements are inappropriate," Ozpin said, "but this really is an experience not many can have. Once we put an end to everything, tell me what you've learned on this journey."

"Fou, fou!" Fou walked towards the door and began patting it, asking to be let out.

"I have the perfect gift for you," Da Vinci said to Fujimaru as they made their way out. "You can look forward to it."

Mash stopped just as the door closed, leaving just her and Ozpin in the room.

"Um..." Mash said. "Dr. Ozpin, may I ask one question?"

Ozpin looked at the girl.

"Prove their existence?" Amber asked.

"So that the World doesn't erase them from existence," Zack said. "They don't belong to that time, so proof of their existence has to be constantly verified as long as they are in the past."

"How complicated," Willow said. It all sounded horribly complex and difficult.

The scene changed to them preparing to start the Rayshift.

"Rayshift preparations, complete," a male technician said. "Destination set to Uruk, 2600 B.C."

Ritsuka and Mash entered the pods.

"Unsummon Program, start," a female technician said. "Commence Spiritron Conversion."

A hologram appeared, displaying the vitals of the two.

"Ritsuka Fujimaru. Mash Kyrielight. Cleared all stages of Rayshift."

The inside of the pods began glowing blue.

"We're ready," the female technician said.

"Seventh Grand Order, commencing operation!" Ozpin announced.

The two were Rayshifted to 2600 B.C.

In Mesopotamia, a green-haired person perked up as they sensed their arrival.

There was nothing for a while. No sign of the two.

Suddenly, there appeared three dots in the air. The dots grew in size as they free fell. It is Fujimaru, Mash and Fou.

They screamed as they fell.

"We're falling! We're falling!" Fujimaru said as the two spread out their bodies.

"We're falling! We're bungeeing!" Mash said.

"Well, that sure went wrong incredibly fast," Roman said.

"I'm pretty sure a landing strategy won't help them there," Jaune said nervously.

"Add that to the curriculum," Ozpin said. "What to do when you appear several kilometres up in the sky."

"Yes, headmaster," Glynda said as she made a note of it. This was far higher than they launched the students during initiation.

"Mash! I'm counting on you!" Fujimaru said, holding his hand out to her.

"Okay!" Mash said. "Mash Kyrielight, doing everything in my power!"

"Master, your hand!" Mash said as she materialised her shield. "Now grab hold of my waist and hold tight please!"

"Deploying Noble Phantasm!" A skirt materialised on Mash's armour.

"Sir Galahad, please lend me your power!" Mash said. "Reveal yourself! Lord Camelot!"

Mash smashed down her shield as a blue glyph appeared on it.

Down below, a white castle appeared as the two smashed through it. It disappeared soon after, its job done.

"Was that her Semblance?" Cardin asked. "And what did she call it? Noble something?"

"A Noble Phantasm," Zack explained, "is either a weapon or special ability possessed by all Heroic Spirits. It is the crystallization of their legend and can be either a weapon such as a sword or spear, or a special ability such as calling down natural disasters or effect probability."

"Heroic Spirit? I don't believe you told us about that," Oscar said.

"Didn't I?" Zack said. "My bad. Remember all those people during the flashback of the past singularities?"

"Yeah," Sun said. "Were they Heroic Spirits?"

"A Heroic Spirit is an individual who in life had accomplish deeds of great renown and are in death recorded in the Throne of Heroes," Zack said. "They can be summoned in a degraded form, known as Servants and are usually divided into seven classes. Saber, Lancer, Archer, Rider, Caster, Assassin and Berserker."

"And these Heroic Spirits, these Servants appeared in every one of the singularities?" Salem asked. This was an application of magic that she had not known. She wondered if Remnant had its own Throne of Heroes, and if she and Ozma would be in it.

"Yes," Zack said. "Some summoned by a Master, an individual who contracts with Servants, or by influence of the Grail. They are either Fujimaru's allies or enemies in every Singularity."

"So Mash is a Servant?" Ilia asked.

"She's a Demi-Servant, a human hosting a Servant," Zack said. "She's the only known Demi-Servant."

The two coughed as their landing kicked up dust. Mash was on her back as Fujimaru was right on top of her.

"Senpai," Mash said. "I mean, Master. Are you hurt?"

"Thanks," Fujimaru said before coughing. "Nice save, Mash."

"No, I'm the one who should say thanks," Mash said. "It happened so suddenly that my mind went blank."

"It went blank..." Mash started to realise the compromising position they both were in.

The two stared at each other, neither making a move to get up.

"Um," Mash said, "you're still clinging to me, aren't you?"

"My oh my," Kali giggled. "Looks like there's more to their relationship than just a Master and Servant."

The adults shook their heads and smiled. To be young and in love.

A white tail appeared in between them. Fou popped up from where he was crushed underneath Mash.

"Aw," Blake said as Fou broke the moment. She looked at the fluffy creature in the room. "Did you do that on purpose?"

"Fou!"

"He said he was more concerned about being crushed," Zack translated. "Even if it was Mash doing the crushing."

"My, my," Raven said. "What a perverted little creature."

'Said perverted little creature is more powerful than me,' Zack thought as Beast IV merely snuggled into Weiss who was giving him a head pat.

"I'm glad you're okay, too, Fou," Mash said as they got up.

"I wonder," Fujimaru said, "if the Rayshift was successful."

They looked at where they were. All around them were ruins and not a single person in sight.

"I thought we transported them to the biggest city in the era," Ozpin said as he looked at the monitor.

"I see," Da Vinci said as she analysed the landing. "What just happened was a forced deportation caused by a Bounded Field."

"Basically a force field of sorts," Zack explained before he was asked.

"That would be so very useful," Ironwood said as he thought about certain teleporting individuals.

Raven and Neo frowned. If that was possible on Remnant, then their greatest advantage was just nullified.

She turned toward the technicians. "There seems to be a Bounded Field around the city of Uruk. Probably to ward off attacks."

"Did both of you hear that?" Ozpin asked the two.

"We heard you, Doctor," Fujimaru answered into his wrist comm. "So we bounced off the city's defence mechanism."

"Yeah," Ozpin said. "There's no doubt that some sort of danger is approaching Uruk right now."

"How do you like my present?" Da Vinci asked.

"Good!" Fujimaru said. "It may be thanks to the new Mystic Code, but I'm not having issues even in the Age of Gods."

He looked at the red tattoos on his right hand. "I've been replenished with all three Command Spells, too."

"You'll have to explain that too," Sienna said.

"Fine," Zack said. "I'll ask Salem and Ozpin this. What was the ambient magical energy density like before the gods left compared to now?"

"Eh?" those unaware of Ozpin's past said.

"Hmm," Ozpin and Salem pondered. "Considerably lower now that I think about it," Salem said.

"Yes," Ozpin said. "The world was full of magic. Now, barring a few locations, you can hardly feel the magic anymore."

"And," Zack continued, "How do you think a human who is used to the low ambient magical density would fare if they were placed say, a few thousand years ago when the Brother Gods were still around?"

Ozpin's eyes widened. "They would either pop like a balloon or feel the worse sunburn they ever felt."

"Right," Zack said. "That outfit Fujimaru's wearing aren't just clothes, it's a highly complex magical tool to help him survive the place."

"Okay," Velvet said, feeling a bit pale at Ozpin's description of magical overload. "But what are Command Spells?"

"Proof of forging a contract with a Servant," Zack said. "They are three absolute commands a Master can give to their contracted Servant that they cannot go against. They can even order the Servant to commit suicide and they'd have no choice but to do so."

"That sounds like slavery," Saphron said.

"They can also be used in other ways," Zack continued. "Say, teleporting the Servant to the Masters' location, despite being out of sight of one another, or a powerful boost to push the Servant past their limits in a fight."

"That sounds extremely useful," Jaune said. "And he can replenish them?"

"Yes," Zack said. "In a normal situation, a Master only ever has three Command Spells. But Fujimaru's are unique and can be replenished over time."

"Fascinating," Jacques said. What power! If only he could get his hands on one of these Servants and Command Spells.

Adam glared at the man who ruined his life. He could feel what he was thinking.

"Very well," Da Vinci said.

"Please proceed with cau---" Ozpin said but was cut off.

"Doctor?" Fujimaru said. "We lost connection."

Mash looked to the sky, Fou on her shoulder.

"The band of light in the sky exists as expected," she said.

"Yeah," Fujimaru agreed. "For now, let's check out what's around here."

"Okay!" The two slid down a small cliff.

Fou gave off several warning barks, alerting Mash to approaching danger.

She saw several Demonic Beasts in the vicinity. Fujimaru noticed as well.

"Trouble," Vernal said. "Those don't look like Grimm. More colourful for one."

"Their called Demonic Beasts," Zack said. "Basically the Grimm of the ancient world."

"They look just as dangerous though," Port said. "Ah, how I wish I was there with them to add more adventures to my life! I wonder how they stack up compared to Grimm?"

"Please don't," the students prayed. His classes were already sleep inducing, no need to make it more so.

"Master!" Mash ran to him. Around them, the Demonic Beasts began to take notice of the two as one of them roared.

"Mash, prepare for battle!" Fujimaru ordered.

Mash materialised her shield in preparation for combat.

The lion like beasts ran towards them.

"Roger that!" Mash said as she ran to combat the beast.

She jumped into the air, smashing shield first into the ground, sending one of the beasts flying.

She pulled her shield out of the ground, slamming it into a beast behind her.

She leap out of the way of another charging best, before kicking it away.

She raised her shield to block a fourth beast that was charging at her.

"Mash!" Fujimaru provided some magical energy for her.

Empowered, Mash began pushing the beast back, sending it into the air where she then kicked it away, sending it crashing into a ruined wall.

"Battle finished, Master," she said.

"She has good form," Glynda complimented.

"Not bad," Raven said. "Interesting. With that shield, I would have thought she was stuck on defence. But she can use it offensively just fine. And she's strong enough to kick them a fair distance."

"I'd say those Demonic Beasts aren't any tougher than Grimm," Mercury said. "If that's how tough their fights usually are, I'm not impressed."

"Those were the grunts," Zack said bluntly. "They're so weak that even normal human soldiers without Aura could handle them with training and good tactics. Servants and certain Demonic Beasts would make the Ancient Grimm of Remnant look like ants in comparison."

"Yikes," Coco said.

The two walked over to the corpse of the Demonic Beast.

Fujimaru knelt down to examine it. "I've never seen this type before."

"Right," Mash said. "I agree with you. Unlike the Demonic Beasts we've faced before, I feel like they clearly had hostility."

"By any chance," Fujimaru said, "the reason the city is in ruins is..."

The two looked around at what must have once been a thriving settlement.

"Interesting," Watts said. Grimm didn't leave anything behind while these Demonic Beasts did. "Can their body parts be used for anything?"

"Ingredients for potions and rituals," Zack listed off, "medicine, enhancements and even food. I have it on good authority that Wyvern meat is surprisingly good, little spicy though."

"Hmm," Nora said. "Do you think a Grimm would taste as good?"

Those who knew her sighed while those who didn't looked at her as if she was dropped on the head. Even Salem had never tried to eat a Grimm before.

"No Nora," Ren said. "You can't eat a Grimm to find out."

"Aww," Nora said. "You never let me do anything fun!"

"Mash," Fujimaru said, "let's get away from this city quickly. I don't think that was the last if the Demonic Beasts--"

"Oh no, I'm going to hit them!" a female voiced screamed out from above.

The two turned around and Fujimaru's eyes widened as someone neared him at high speeds.

A white-haired girl crashed into him, sending them both tumbling.

"Master!" Mash ran towards Fujimaru and the newcomer.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch," the white-haired girl said in pain. She looked like Weiss and was dressed in what could pass as a white and gold bikini along with a black and gold crown in her hair.

There was momentary silence.

Whitley wondered who the hell that was and what had they done with Weiss?! His sister would never be caught dead in that!

Jacques, his opinion on the matter was irrelevant so we'll skip him entirely.

Willow wondered if she should have sobered up and gotten in her daughter's life more. Ah, now she was depressed again.

"Weiss," Nicolas said. "While you are a grown girl, there are some things that concern me as your grandfather."

"Sister," Winter said. "Do we need to have a conversation regarding your choice in clothing?"

Weiss immediately turned red, very noticeable with her pale complexion. "N-N-No! What am I wearing!"

The boys kept their cool. Don't show how much they liked Weiss' new fashion choice. Especially not when said girl's family was in the room.

"I approve!" Yang said with a grin.

"Shut it you oaf!" Weiss yelled.

"Are you going for a swim?" Ruby asked. Sweet innocent Ruby who still didn't understand what that 'special' set of underwear she found in her mom's closet was for.

"What a disaster. Huh? What?"

"H-Hello there," Fujimaru said from his place underneath her. "I'm your cushion."

There was a moment of silence before...

"Wait, what in the world are you?" the Weiss lookalike said. "Why are you my cushion without permission? Hurry up and get out of the way! Who do you think I am?"

"—P-Please move aside!" Mash said as she moved towards them. "Right now! Immediately! Master is being crushed!"

Fou looked upon the scene with a sweat drop. Summing up his thoughts with a, "Fou!"

"I'm pretty sure that was your fault," Blake said, amused.

"Shut up," Weiss said, still embarrassed by her other's fashion choice and behaviour.

"So she's a tsundere," Tyrian said sagely.

"A what?" Hazel asked.

"Why does the crazy murderer know that term?" Blake asked.

"Hey!" Tyrian said, offended. "I'm devoted to my goddess, not culturally inept!"

"It feels so wrong," Velvet said with a shudder.

Back in Chaldea.

"Will we be able to resume communication with Fujimaru?" Da Vinci asked.

"It'll take a little more," Ozpin answered. "But we can observe them. There was some kind of strong response, but they seem all right."

Ozpin spun his chair to face her. "This is different from what we'd planned, but I'm sure those two will be all right."

Fujimaru was on his knees as the Weiss lookalike looked at him with her hands on her hips.

"Touching my body without permission..." she said. "Which town are you from?"

"Touching?" Fujimaru said. "It was more of an accident."

"Even from my viewpoint, that collision earlier was..." Mash added. "Please, listen to us. Um, well, Miss..."

Weiss looked surprised. "Are you guys seriously saying you don't know who I am?"

"Yup," Yang said, "that's Weiss alright."

"Totally," Blake said.

"Without a doubt," Ruby said.

"Hey!" Weiss said. "I'm not that bad, right?"

None of her fellow students answered. Winter just gave her a small smirk.

"Traitors the lot of you," Weiss muttered.

"I'm sorry," Mash apologized. "We are members of a group called 'Chaldea'. We were sent here to this Singularity to correct the course of humanity."

"So, you're guest from afar?" Weiss said. "Well, stuff like that happens. You might say I'm here in a similar manner."

"S-So, that's how it goes," Fujimaru said.

"So," Neptune said, "Weiss is a Servant as well?"

"She's a special case," Zack answered. "Sometimes, due to unique circumstances, a Servant can't appear normally so require hosts. Weiss is what we call a Pseudo-Servant, in which the personality of the Servant and host merge to form an entirely new person. This case is a roughly 70-30 split with the Servant being the majority."

"So," Willow said, "that's still my daughter, right?"

"Yes," Zack reassured. "That's still Weiss, albeit a bit different."

"Fine," Weiss said. "Normally, touching me without permission is something that can't possibly happen in this world."

"I'll be careful," Fujimaru said as he got up. "I'm Ritsuka Fujimaru. I'm a Master who makes contracts with Heroic Spirits and commands them as Servants. And she is..."

Mash introduced herself. "Mash Kyrielight, and this cute little one is Fou."

"Fou!"

Weiss huffed. "I'm not going to introduce myself. I won't tell you anything. Actually, you tell me!" She pointed her finger at them. "Like, whether or not you saw something precious lying around here!"

"What?" Fujimaru asked.

"Like," Weiss said, "something that makes you think, 'Wow!' at first glance. Answer me!"

"Even if you put it like that..." Fujimaru said. Those were vague descriptions.

"Did you drop something?" Mash asked.

Weiss gasped in embarrassment. "Of course not! I didn't drop anything at all!"

The two looked at Weiss as she denied everything.

"Say something!" Weiss demanded. "Silence can be very cruel at times!"

"I can't believe I'm agreeing with the crazy scorpion faunus," Cardin said, "but Weiss here really is a tsundere."

"She just went from tsun-tsun to dere-dere in the span of seconds," Jaune agreed. "A classic example."

"You're not into that, are you Jaune?" Pyrrha asked.

"Nah," Jaune denied. "You're all I'd ever want in a girl."

The two cuddled as Saphron squealed. Oh, she had to report this once they got back.

A roar was heard.

"Huh? North?" Weiss said.

"That's not it!" Mash said as she prepared for trouble. "That voice wasn't Senpai's!"

They saw themselves being surrounded by Demonic Beasts.

"More of them," Junior said.

"Of course there's more," Adam said. "There always is."

"It's dangerous! Stand back!" Fujimaru said.

"Master," Mash said, "they look like the Demonic Beasts from earlier!"

"There are more here than earlier," Fujimaru said.

"Who do you think you are speaking to?" Weiss said, annoyed. "You are the one who should stand back."

Fujimaru and Mash turned toward Weiss as she took off into the air.

"I can fly!" Weiss exclaimed.

"She can fly!" her friends exclaimed.

"That's so cool!" Oscar and Whitley said as they had stars in their eyes.

"Tsk," Adam said. So what if the Schnee could fly? It'd be all the more satisfying to watch as she's shot down.

She flew above them, sweeping out her right arm. "My special move!"

Several beams of energy shot out and struck the assembled beasts.

Weiss continued firing from her position, making a finger gun as she shot beam after beam at the beasts.

"And she can shoot laser beams," Emerald said in awe.

"What Servant did she merge with?" Robyn asked.

"Spoilers," Zack said.

She flew towards one, kicking it far away before landing in front of Fujimaru and Mash.

"A—Amazing!" they said as Weiss made a dramatic pose.

"And she sticks the landing!" Coco said.

Neo held up a sign with 'six out of ten' written on it.

"I'd give it seven out of ten," Roman said. "The thing with the hair at the end is overdone."

"Five out of ten," Melanie said.

"We didn't like how she didn't do a superhero landing," Miltia said.

"Those are killer on the knees," Summer said.

"How would you know?" Vernal asked.

Summer whistled as she thought back to how she would do it every time she jumped off a building into a horde of Grimm.

A growl brought their attention back to their surroundings. There were still plenty of Demonic Beasts around them.

"There are more of them," Fujimaru said. "Mash!"

"Yes!" Mash said as she materialised her shield.

"Let's work together this time," Fujimaru said to Weiss, only to find her already gone.

"Don't make decisions on your own!" Weiss said.

The two looked up to see Weiss already in the sky.

"Master Fujimaru, was it?" Weiss said. "If you have trouble dealing with this level of Demonic Beasts, the restoration of humanity is no more than a dream! Do your best with what you can!"

Weiss flew off, leaving the two to fend for themselves.

"So cruel," Jaune said. "That's Weiss alright."

"I wouldn't have left them to fend for themselves," Weiss said.

"I'm sure you have your reasons," Ruby comforted.

Fujimaru's communicator beeped.

"Good!" Ozpin's voice came from the device. "We're connected!"

"Doctor, we'll talk later!" Fujimaru said.

Fujimaru looked around and found an area where there were no enemies.

"The enemy forces are thin!" he said. "Mash! Follow me!"

Fujimaru ran to the open space without enemies.

"Roger that!" Mash followed.

"Not a good idea," Port frowned. "If these beasts are anything like Grimm, they can outrun them."

"Well, they can't exactly take all of them, can they?" Amber asked.

"If it was Mash alone, maybe," Zack answered. "But she has to think of her Master as well. He's a liability here since he's a normal human despite all that he has done."

Not too far from them, someone watched as they were chased by the Demonic Beasts.

Several Demonic Beasts easily overtook them and blocked their path, forcing them to stop.

"S-So many..." Fujimaru said as they were once again surrounded.

"We can't possibly handle all of them by ourselves!" Mash said.

"You want numbers?" the newcomer, the green-haired person from before said. "If so, I believe I may be able to help."

Lightning appeared on his body before going down to his hand touching the ground, spreading out toward the Demonic Beasts, bisecting them.

"It is an honour to meet you," the green-haired person said. "Master of Chaldea. My name is Enkidu. I have waited in this Age of Gods for you to come."

The Ren lookalike got up and stretched his right arm, before pointing it at the two. Golden chains appeared from him and flew pass them, easily decimating the fleeing Demonic Beasts.

The chains disappeared into gold dust, leaving behind the bodies of the Demonic Beasts that had been slain.

"Ren!" Nora yelled. "Why didn't you tell me you could do that! And what's with the green hair? I thought your colour was pink! And why are you so pretty!?"

"Nora, other me," Ren calmly answered. "And I'm a Servant?"

"Yes," Zack said. "Introductions will come later. And before anyone asks, Enkidu is genderless but is usually referred to as a male."

"With that attack," Enkidu said. "I believe I've nullified the Demonic Beasts in this area. That said, the smell of the blood of the fallen will draw more here."

"Who are you?" Fujimaru asked.

Mash dematerialised her shield. "Are you from this land?"

"I believe I've introduced myself," Enkidu said. "Isn't your Mage quite versed about me?"

"Y-Yeah," Ozpin answered. "I'm assuming that you are the real Enkidu, correct? Oh boy, nothing less from the weapon of the Gods."

"The Weapon of the Gods?" Fujimaru asked.

A picture of Gilgamesh and Enkidu back to back was shown.

Ozpin began his lecture. "If King Gilgamesh, a mix of human and divine blood, is the Wedge of the Heavens created by the gods, Enkidu is the Chain of the Heavens, created to return Gilgamesh to the gods. Not even the tyrannical King Gilgamesh could destroy this good-hearted hero."

"Now that's a title," Qrow whistled. "And we can tell he earned it with how easily he decimated those beasts earlier."

"Wedge of the Heavens?" Jaune asked. "Is that what I am?"

"King Gilgamesh was created by the gods in an effort to bind them to humanity," Zack said. "Instead, he rebelled and ensured that the Age of Gods would come to an end. Enkidu was sent to bring him back to them but ended up befriending him instead. Long story short, their the world's first bromance."

Jaune and Ren fist bumped. The first bromance. Yeah, they liked that very much.

"Impressive," Sun said. "To the very first bros!" He mimicked lifting up a glass of wine.

"Here, here!" Neptune said as he did so as well.

"It's quite embarrassing to be complimented this much," Enkidu said. "Huh?"

Enkidu looked at Fujimaru's outstretched hand.

"Thanks for earlier, Enkidu," Fujimaru said.

"A handshake, Enkidu," Mash explained.

"Oh, so this is..." Enkidu said as he shook Fujimaru's hand. "I'm sorry, I'm still not used to this. Now allow me to guide you to Uruk."

"Thank you very much!" Mash said.

The three began walking as Enkidu became their guide.

"You know about our situation, too?" Fujimaru asked.

"Yes, to a certain extent," Enkidu said. "The Holy Grail disrupted time. The alteration of history by those who were given the Grail. The Mage King created Singularities from them in order to make the Foundation of Humanity collapse."

"In order to prevent that," Fujimaru said, "we've journeyed through six Singularities."

"I know of that, as well," Enkidu said. "I came here by orders from the chief priestess of Uruk to protect guests from afar."

"Then, this age still is..." Mash said.

"The people in the Age of Gods do not succumb that easily," Enkidu said. "But I was really surprised. Well, I heard that humanity's final Master would be coming so I had imagined someone like Gilgamesh would show up."

"I guess I disappointed you," Fujimaru said sheepishly.

"No," Enkidu said. "I am happy that it was someone like you."

They stopped by the stream to rest for a while.

"How much longer to Uruk?" Fujimaru asked.

"I'd like to take a direct route south," Enkidu said, "but that enters a different influential zone."

"You mean it's dangerous?" Mash asked.

"Yes," Enkidu answered. "Mesopotamia currently is on the brink of extinction."

"Not all too different from humanity right now," Cinder said.

"We will not fall so easily!" Ironwood shot back.

"I never said it would be easy," Cinder smirked back. "But I doubt it'd be as difficult as you think it is."

Ozpin frowned. "What are you planning Salem?"

Salem smiled. "Now dear, that'll ruin the surprise."

"Then, those ruins we saw earlier were..." Fujimaru said.

"Cities fell to ruin one after another," Enkidu continued. "The survivors have evacuated to the city of Uruk."

"And all this was caused by the owner of the Holy Grail?" Mash asked.

"No," Enkidu said. "The Holy Grail is not in the hands of anyone. The enemy of humanity are the gods."

"Not surprising," Salem said. "Gods have always treated humanity as pets. Favoured pets to be certain, but still pets."

Ozpin couldn't find it in himself to really disagree.

"Were the gods really like that?" Penny asked.

"Only those two can tell us," Oobleck said, looking at Salem and Ozpin. "And they don't seem keen to tell us the details."

"Go...Gods?" Mash said in shock.

"The Three Goddess Alliance," Enkidu said. "They have taken roughly 60% of the lands of Mesopotamia."

"How much land is that?" Tai asked.

"About 2 million square kilometres, more or less," Zack said. "It's hard to tell really."

"That's a lot of land," Clover said. "Maybe a third of Mantle?"

"And most of the cities have been destroyed," Robyn said sadly.

"An alliance...of goddesses..." Fujimaru said.

"I-If they're goddesses, aren't they supposed to be siding with humans?" Mash asked.

"There's never been a time when gods allied with humans," Enkidu said. "The objective of the Three Goddesses Alliance is the incineration of humanity."

"But that's..." Fujimaru had a flashback to their confrontation with Solomon. "...exactly the same thing as the Mage King!"

"Each of the three goddesses destroyed this land with their own method," Enkidu explained. "One of them is the Goddess of the Demonic Beasts. The Demonic Beasts that she creates, including those we saw earlier, have completely covered the northern areas. To counter them, there's something humanity has built. You will see it along the way."

"Any relation to her?" Roman asked, pointing his cigar towards Salem.

"She doesn't birth Grimm," Zack said. "Merely controls them."

"That wasn't a no," Ghira said.

"Spoilers."

They resumed their journey as Enkidu took them to a cliff overlooking the land.

"You should be able to see it from here," Enkidu said.

"Th-This is..." Fujimaru said as he took in the sight. Mash joined him with Fou on her shoulder.

"Right," Enkidu said. "This is the hope of humanity. The final and largest fortress to protect the four corners of the world..."

The camera zoomed out to show a massive fortress wall being assaulted by countless Demonic Beasts.

"...Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia!"

"Holy shit!" Saphron said. "That's one big wall!"

"And that was built without modern machinery," Oobleck said as he stared at the massive fortress wall. "Of course, we have built bigger but to do so using only human labour..."

"Look at all of those Demonic Beasts attacking," Ruby said. "There's more than during the Breach!"

Ironwood frowned as his mind went a mile a minute thinking up plans on how to defend against such a horde. With that wall, and modern artillery as well as air defences to shoot down any flyers, it could be done so long as they could ensure the wall stayed supplied and the men routinely exchanged with fresher men. Of course, that was unless the attackers didn't tire and attacked day and night. In which case, attrition would take its bloody toll eventually.

"How long have they been holding out?" Jaune asked.

"It'll say in the next episode," Zack said. "Playing now."
