Takes place in season 2

Ezra and Sabine were on a mission to collect some abandoned supplies from an old imperial outpost. They landed the Phantom on the landing platform and walked out of the ship. "Hera was right. This place is definitely abandoned. What do you think happened here?" Ezra asked. "Hard to tell. It's kinda odd that they just left this place leaving all their supplies." Sabine explained. "Well lets see what we can find here and get out quickly. This place gives me the creeps." Ezra said. "Ezra every place can give you the creeps." Sabine stated. "Shuddup." Ezra said lightly punching her on the shoulder and they both laughed.

They walked towards the entrance and Sabine began to hack the door controls. After a few moments she got the doors opened. "You always worked fast." Ezra stated patting her on the shoulder. Sabine smiled under her helmet. "C'mon lets go." She said and they walked i side.

They walked through the dark halls of the outpost trying to find the supply room. Ezra was looking around like he was being watched and felt uneasy for Sabine's sake. He was worried if something happened to her and hoped nothing bad happened. Sabine noticed this. "Hey, you okay?" She asked. "I don't know, Just hope nothing happens that's all." Ezra said.

Then they were picking up a low signal not far from them. "I thought this place was abandoned." Ezra said. "It's probably just an old signal coming back up. Lets go check it out." Sabine said and they followed the signal.

They walked through the dark halls some more until they were right on top of it. "Do you see anything Ezra?" Sabine asked. "No nothing. It's too dark......wait what's that?" Ezra said as he focused more and was a red eye. Then he heard a familiar beeping noise. "Oh no." He said. Ezra quickly grabbed Sabine's hand and took off running. "Ezra what is it?" Sabine asked. "It's them. It's the Inquisitors. We need to get outta here." Ezra said and Sabine nodded.

When they looked back they saw the Seventh Sister causally walking towards them with her probes. Then they were pushed into the wall. They looked up and saw the Fifth Brother with lightsaber activated. He took a swing at Sabine but Ezra quickly blocked it and kicked him back. Ezra and Sabine both got up and started running again. "We're almost out." Ezra said pointing ahead. Sabine looked back and saw the Inquisitors gaining on them. "We're not gonna make it." She said feeling scared. Once they got to the door Ezra suddenly stopped. He was being held back by the Inquisitors. "Ezra! I got you." Sabine said grabbing his arm and trying to pull him back. Ezra looked at her and back at the Inquisitors who were getting closer. Ezra took a deep breath and closed his eyes. "Sorry Sabine." He said and used the force to push her out of the Outpost. "Ezra!!" Sabine shouted as he used his blaster to shoot the door controls and the door shut right in front of her.

"No!" Sabine said banging on the door. Tears filled her eyes as she had no choice but to escape without Ezra. She ran towards the Phantom and sat in the pilot seat. She tried to get the systems turned on but they weren't working. "No, no, no." Sabine tried everything but she couldn't power up the ship. Then a holo message turned on revealing the Seventh Sister and Fifth Brother with Ezra on his knees. "I suppose you already know that we disabled your ship. There's no escape this time. Surrender now or the boy dies a long and painful death you couldn't imagine." The Seventh Sister said. "Sabine don't worry about me. Just hide somewhere and find a way out of here. Don't jeopardize your safety for me. Especially me." Ezra told her. "Ezra." Sabine muttered softly. "Quiet you!" The Fifth Brother said punching Ezra on the side of his head. "The choice is yours; surrender or he dies." The Seventh Sister said and the holo message ended.

More tears escape Sabine's eyes as she took off her helmet. She didn't want to be captured but she couldn't live with herself if she let Ezra die. With one last attempt, she tried to turn on the long range comm systems. It was working but she couldn't get a lock on the fleet so all she could do was give out a signal. "This is Sabine Wren. The mission was a trap. Me and Ezra Bridger have been captured by the Inquisitors. Please, if anyone's listening, send help." After Sabine gave out the message, she walked out of the Phantom and back towards the base. She saw the doors open revealing the Fifth Brother with some probes next to him. Sabine had her hands up and she left her helmet and blasters back on the Phantom. The Fifth Brother aggressively grabbed her by the arm and pulled her inside.

Sabine was led into a room and pushed inside. She saw Ezra on a torture rack. "Sabine I told you to hide and escape." Ezra said. "I'm sorry. I couldn't let them kill you." Sabine said. "Well well well. Look at this. A bond between a Mandalorian and a Jedi. What are the odds." Seventh Sister said. "Leave her out of this. I'm the one you want." Ezra said. "Indeed you are. But both of you captured will please Lord Vader. So now that both of you are here will one of you like to tell me where can I find Ahsoka Tano and Kanan Jarrus?" Seventh Sister asked. "No!" They both said. "So be it."

One probe droid hovered over Ezra and started send electrical shocks to his body making him grunt and shake in pain. Sabine was on the verge of tears as she watched Ezra get tortured right in front of her. Once it stopped Ezra was breathing heavy. "Everytime you don't give me what I want, I'll add another probe to your punishment. So ready to talk." Seventh Sister said. "N-No." Ezra said. Then another probe hovered over Ezra and both started to shock him making him scream in pain.

After an hour, it stopped and the Seventh Sister turned to Sabine. "I'm starting to believe that the young Jedi doesn't care about his life. But I know you do. I can feel your strong feelings for him. Feelings of sad, guilt......love. So if you care about his life that much, I suggest you tell him to loosen his tongue or I'll loosen it for him." She threatened. Sabine looked at Ezra with complete worry on her face. "I.....I.......I can't. I'm sorry Ezra. I won't talk." Sabine said. "Fine by me. I prefer torturing him anyway. It's fun to see the strong break. I think it's my turn." Seventh Sister said activating her lightsaber. "No! Please!" Sabine said trying to run over but was held back by the Fifth Brother. "Time to put another scar on that pretty face of yours." Seventh Sister said raising her lightsaber up to him.

She started to make cut marks on his arms cheat and face making him scream in agonising pain. Sabine looked away, not being able to watch Ezra be tortured. All she could is listen as tears escaped her eyes.

"Why not torture the girl too?" Fifth Brother asked. "She is being tortured. I've read her file. She cares too much about the people around her. Even the strongest has their own weaknesses. Just look at her. She can't even look at the boy in his state. But, same goes for the boy. Maybe if I do torture the girl, maybe he will talk." Seventh Sister explained walking over to Sabine. "N-No! Don't....h-hurt her." Ezra weakly said but he was ignored.

Before something could happen, a droid came in the room and made a beep. "A message from Lord Vader? Good, we can tell him the good news. Lets go." Seventh Sister said. They let Ezra out of the torture racks letting him fall on the metal floor hard and left.

Sabine kneeled down to him and held him close. "Ezra please stay awake." She pleaded as she finally cried. Ezra slowly moved his head to meet her gaze. "Sabine....did they *cough cough* did they hurt you?" He asked. "No. But I'm more worried about you." Sabine said. "No. Don't worry about me. You might have a chance at getting out of here while they're gone. Leave me here. Find a way back to the fleet." Ezra told her. "No. I'm not leaving you." Sabine said. "You don't have a choice. Besides, I'm just expendable. You all don't need me." Ezra said.

"No. You're not expendable. You're more important to the fleet than you realize. You're important to them, Ahsoka, the crew........you're more important to me too. I care about Ezra. And nothing can change that." Sabine told him grabbing his hand. Ezra looked up at her with a smile. "I care about you too." He said. Sabine smiled and dipped her head down to him. Their lips made contact with each other making them both smile. Once they parted they just stared at each other.

Then Ezra felt a sharp pain in his body and passed out. "Ezra? Ezra?!" Sabine called out hugging him close and crying again. Then the Inquisitors came back in the room. "Aw how cute. But this is where we continue where we left off. Lets enjoy this together." Seventh Sister said as they both activated their lightsabers and walked towards them. "No! Please! Don't take him!" Sabine begged but they didn't listen. Sabine tried to shuffle away but couldn't move. They both started to make cut marks on a passed out Ezra's body making him scream in his sleep. Sabine held Ezra tighter and closed her eyes crying the whole time.

Suddenly, both Inquisitors were pushed into the wall causing them to go through it. Sabine opened her eyes and looked to the door to see Kanan, Ahsoka and Zeb. "Guys?" Sabine called out in a sob still crying. "Kanan, Zeb, get Ezra and Sabine, I'll hold them off." Ahsoka said and they nodded. Kanan and Zeb ran over to Ezra and Sabine and kneeled down to them. "Kanan please, Ezra he...." Sabine trailed off still crying. "Don't worry Sabine, we got him. We got you both." Kanan said. Zeb picked up Ezra on his shoulders while Kanan help Sabine up to her feet and they ran out the room.

They ran outside and saw the Ghost waiting for them. They looked behind them and saw Ahsoka running towards them. They all made it onto the Ghost and the ship lift off into space. Once Hera set the hyperdrive for the fleet she made the jump and headed into the back where the others were.

Once she got there, Hera ran into the common room and saw everyone surrounding Sabine who was on the floor crying and hugging Ezra who was still passed out. Without asking any questions, Hera went past them and kneeled down to Sabine. "Sabine I need to take him to the medical bay." She said. "No! I'm not letting him go. Not again." Sabine said in her sobs. "Sabine we don't know the what type of damage they did to him. If I don't get him stable, it's possible that he will....die. Please let me help him." Hera said. Sabine was hesitant at first but nodded letting Hera take him. Letting him go made her cry more. Kanan, Zeb, Chopper and Ahsoka placed a hand on her in comfort as she cried her heart out for Ezra.

2 hours later

They manged to get back to the fleet and Ezra to the medical bay of the command ship. Hera was inside Ezra's room while Kanan, Sabine, Chopper, Zeb and Ahsoka stood outside the room. Sabine was pacing back and forward outside the room. When the doors opened, Sabine was the first to enter. "How is he?" She asked. "He's stable. Very lucky to be alive. But he'll be out of action for awhile." Hers said. Sabine was glad that Ezra was alive but he was still passed out. She sat down next to his bed and looked deeply at him as more tears came in her eyes

Kanan was about to go over to her until Hera stopped him and shook her head no. "Let her be with him. She wants to and she needs to." Hera said and Kanan nodded.

Ahsoka placed a hand on Sabine's shoulder. "He'll be okay, Sabine. Promise." She said and they all left.

Sabine turned back to Ezra and held his hand. "Ez. Please wake up. I love you." She said and laid her head down on the bed.

Then, Sabine felt his hand squeeze hers. She shot her head straight up and saw Ezra was awake with a smile. "I love you too." He said. Sabine smiled and they both hugged each other and kissed. Once they parted they continued to smile at each other. "I'm glad you're okay Ez. I don't know what I would do if..." Sabine trailed off. Ezra pulled her into another hug. "Hey. I'm alright. I'm okay. Promise." Ezra said.

"I love you Sabine."

"I love you more Ez."
