Izumi's pov.

"Almost done, sweetheart." He grunted. The pain magnified and I bit down on my lip, hard, trying to contain my cries. Blood trickled into my mouth, and ran down my chin.
The hands gripping my waist, tightened their grip and I let out a small sound, instantly clamping my hands over my mouth, eyes wide as I waited for the punishment.

"Bad girl," he hissed, his right hand raising. "Turn around."

"No-" my plea was cut off by a harsh slap.

"Turn. Around. Now." He spat. My arms and legs were trembling violently as I moved to my hands and knees. Tears flooded my eyes and streamed down my cheeks when a hand slammed down on my side, repeating the action over and over and over. "Its just a game."

"No. No-!" I cried when the pain magnified as he drove in. "Stop!" My hands were wrenched behind me and pinned, the hand gripping mine in a bone crushing grip. "No! Stop! No!"

*

"No! Stop! No!" I cried, fighting against the hands that were holding mine.

"Izumi!" I shook as my hands were forced down to the bed, my eyes wide with tears, my lower lip trembling as my body shook. "Izu, its just me."

"Ka-Ka-Kakashi?" My voice crack as my eyes met his. They were filled with worry.

"That right," he whispered, carefully letting go of my hands, and moving his own around me, lifting me up and into his lap. "Its okay now."

"He-He was th-there." I choked in a breath, my fingers clutching the front of his shirt. Kakashi's body froze.

"Who, Izu?" He asked, or well, demanded somewhat gently as his fingers ran though my hair. "Izu, he can't hurt you." Kakashi spoke after I was quiet. "He can't hurt you anymore. I promise, Izu."

"It-He said it was a-a game." I stuttered. I bit my lip. "Wha-What if he comes after me?" My doubts started rising more and more.

"Look at me, Izu." Fingers gently took hold of my chin, tilting my tear stained face up. "I'm not going to let him hurt you, ever again." Kakashi wiped a tear with his thumb as he spoke.

"Promise?"

"I promise," Kakashi smiled a little and started moving. "Get some sleep, Izu." He moved me directly to his side as he layed down, his right arm under my head, and his left wrapped around my waist.

I sniffled and moved as close as possible when he layed back down from pulling the blankets up. "Can we just talk for awhile?" I whispered, my voice cracking at the end. I really didn't want to sleep now.

"What do you want to talk about?" Kakashi asked, right eyes open and glancing down at me.

"What happened while I was gone?" Kakashi sighed.

"That's a long story, Izu." He said.

" There's nothing but time now." I whispered, heart fluttering when a chuckle left his mouth.

"Alright." And thus the story began. He told me about the war, which happened first. That was when he lost his eye, and gained a new one. Obito died and gave Kakashi his left eye.

Then, a few months later, Kakashi and Rin went on a mission. The Mist had kidnapped her and were planning on sealing the three tails inside of her. And when Kakashi went to attack the kidnappers with Chidori, it went straight through her heart.

And lastly, the attack of the nine tails. Minato and Kushina had a son. But during the birth, the tailed beast got out. In order to save the village, Minato and Kushina died, the latter sealing the nine tails in his child.

"That's a lot," I mumbled, half asleep.

"Yeah." I barely heard Kakashi's reply.

"At least your still here though." I smiled. "I know its selfish... but I don't know what id do if you were gone." My words were slightly slurred with sleep. I don't remember if he replied but after that, I had no bad dreams.

******

"Izu, are you ready?" Kakashi called from the other side of the door. I stared at my overly long hair.

"Just give me a minute." I called back, picking up a kunai I borrowed from his weapons pouch. The door opened as I held the kunai to a certain part of my hair and slashed through it.

"What are you doing?" He sounded baffled as he watched me repeat the action over and over until my hair hung just past my hips, and cut my bangs so they fell just like they used to, chin length and to the side.

"It was to long." I stated. I was able to cut the ends evenly, which was a surprise. "Much better." I grabbed the broom and swept up my mess.

Kakashi was leaning against the door, watching with a small smile. I only know that, because his mask was down, hanging around his neck.

I picked up the pants he gave me earlier and started putting them on. When they were on, Kakashi tied my string, since they were really big.

When he was done, he stood and picked up a strand of my hair. "Alright, let's go."

"Wait a second," I tugged on the back of his shirt when he began to leave. Kakashi frowned as he turned back to me.

I wrapped my arms around his waist, resting my forehead against his chest. His arms carefully wrapped around me, one hand holding the back of my head.

"Izu, what's wrong?" I shook my head, pressing closer.

"You promised...right?" My voice slightly cracked at the end. I don't know why I brought it up, I guess I just needed to hear it again.

"Of course."

"Kakashi.." I could feel my cheeks heating, and my heart racing in my chest.

"Izu." I peeked up and my eyes automatically closed when he leaned in. There was a soft pressure against my lips. "I'm not letting you go again." He murmured against my lips. My heart skipped a beat. But he pulled away a few moments later. "Hokage-sama wants to talk to you before we go shopping." Kakashi was smiling and I knew my face was red.

"Fine," I muttered as he pulled away, only keeping his hand on my head, which moved, fingers taking a gentle hold of my chin and tilting my face up.

"You look cute flushed like that," he chuckled, thumb absently tracing across my lower lip.

Its the same...

The sudden thought came to me. "Its... the same..." Kakashi looked perplexed, tilting his head to the side a bit. "Your promise..."

"I remember." I bit my lip, noticing how his eyes followed the movement. "Its been awhile since then, hasn't it." I only slightly nodded.

"Five years..."

Kiss me.

The sudden urge came.

Kiss me like you did that day.

I could feel my cheeks flaming with the blush I tried so desperately to hide. "Izumi," I snapped from my thoughts. "Come on, we should get going." He let go of me all together, only turning and holding out his hand.

"Okay." I complied, placing my hand in his. Kakashi lead me from the bathroom to the front door, opening it and stepping out.

But I wasn't paying attention to that. I was trying to contain the urge. The one that I so desperately wanted to act on.

Kiss me.

Just like you did that day,

Like you never wanted to let me go.

I don't own Naruto.
