By the time the pair finally got out of the water, they were both soaked to the skin and the sun had gone down about an hour and a half ago. "Time flies when you're having fun I suppose..." Tiberius remarked, laughing softly. Gidget giggled as well, her tail wagging. Her white fur drenched, she nuzzled the old hawk. A smile spread across his face as he whispered, "Thank you."

"For what?" Gidget asked, looking up at Tiberius. Smiling nervously, the hawk mumbled, "For everything. I don't know where I'd be right now if you hadn't found me in that shed." Able to tell that what he was saying was coming from his heart beating deep within his chest, Gidget replied back kindly, "You're welcome." She gazed up into his light brown eyes, getting lost within their depths. She could see the moon's reflection in them.

Staring into Gidget's sky blue eyes and seeing the stars in them, Tiberius couldn't hold back any longer as he reached down and kissed her forehead. Noticing the shocked look on Gidget's face, he felt ashamed and lowered his head. He quickly tried to defend himself, "I'm sorry, I don't know what-"

"You missed," Gidget pointed out suddenly, interrupting Tiberius. Looking up, he mumbled, "What?" Giggling, the fluffy white Pomeranian stood on her hind legs and hugged the old hawk as she repeated, "You missed."

"What do you mean? I-" Tiberius couldn't finish as Gidget kissed him right on the lips.
