"Come on, this way!" Cupcake yelped, skidding across the hardwood floors as she and her older brother Sparky ran for their lives. They were lost somewhere on the second floor of the mansion. The two siblings were scared to death that the bad man with the gun would find them and kill them right on the spot. The thought made them run faster down the hallway.

Noticing a room with its door slightly open, Cupcake and Sparky didn't even think twice as they quickly hid inside. Regaining their breath, the pair hugged each other for comfort. "I want Mommy and Daddy..." Cupcake whined, her green eyes brimming with tears. Her brother meowed softly, "I want them too." Saddened, the puppy and kitten broke down into tears.

Just then, the door swung open, causing both siblings to jump with fear. Fortunately for them, it wasn't Michael. Instead, it was Gabe. Kneeling down, he gently wrapped Cupcake and Sparky in a warm blanket. Picking up the bundle, he quietly carried them. Looking down at them, the young boy whispered, "Don't worry little ones, you're safe now. I'll get ya to your mommy and daddy."

"I like this kid," Cupcake remarked, giving Gabe's cheek a gentle lick as they headed down to the first floor.
