Panic already settling down in her heart, Gidget raced over to the one corner of the mansion to see the black Ford pickup truck from earlier driving away. It appeared that both Ulrich and Michael were in the front seats of the vehicle. Andromeda could also seen inside, trying to get out. It looked like the small hawk was crying out for help.

"Andromeda!" Gidget howled. The fluffy white Pomeranian didn't even notice that she had been running until she looked down to see her paws striking the ground at an evenly placed beat. Gritting her teeth, she forced herself to run faster after the pickup truck. Her paws burned as she ran like the wind. She was slowly closing in on the truck as they moved through the dark driveway surrounded by trees on all sides.

Then the black Ford pickup truck took a hard right once it reached the main road. Gidget was unable to turn as swiftly as the vehicle and rolled across the pavement before she finally stopped after banging her face against the guard rail. Laying there for a few seconds, she groaned as she lifted her head, blood slowly dripping down from her nose. Squinting her sky blue eyes, Gidget broke down into tears as she watched the truck disappear into the dark of the night.

Just then, Gidget felt something grab her back...
