          Marinette's POV:

A few weeks later, as Marinette was about to take orders she tripped and fell flat on her face.  To say it hurt was an understatement as it was alright painful.  Goodness, she never felt more embarrassed in her life then she did right now.

Why did she  have to fall right in front of his table?   She had forgotten she still held a sponge in her hand and it dropped beside her.  Great now she has soapy water in her hair, a skinned knee, and who knows what else.

Marinette stood to her feet feeling  silly about the whole thing. She was about to apologize for the fact that the sponge's water dripped all over Adrien's shoes.

       Adrien's POV:

"Oh, it is alright Marinette, my shoes needed a good  lathering now and then.  I mean they were rather dirty, so I consider it a favor," Adrien remarked.

Marinette shook her head to stunned for words.

Adrien grabbed up the sponge and used it to scrub some greasy mess off the table. He smiled as he handed it back to her.  Then, he happened to notice a few stray banana peels in her hair. He had no idea how they had gotten in there, but he carefully removed them.

"There now, you see, you are already for business as usual," Adrien grinned.

       Marinette's  POV:

Marinette tried hard not to smile or laugh at the irony of the situation. She soon found herself doing both as she worked hard to jot down the customers food orders. She finished a few moments earlier, so he walked over to Adrien's  table. She shook her head at the knowledge she had somehow found herself referring to it in that way. Goodness, she better not let that slip out, or else people were bound to think she was nuts.

She smiled as he stated what he was after and returned to the kitchen. She set the sponge back into the sink, and yanked a few pieces of noodles and other jiblits out of her hair.  She thought good day, the regulars saw me like this and to think no newcomers came to the diner.

She completed one task after another.  Soon enough it was time for her to clock out and head home for the day.

The whole way home she worried about the sloppy mess she found herself in that day.  Then, again why should she care it was not like she was in a relationship with anyone.  Besides, her boss had not gotten any complaints that day.

Perhaps, see thought the day was not that bad after all.

    Adrien's  POV:

Adrien had a good  bought of laughter when he arrived home that day. He thought it  Marinette looked rather adorable all lathered in dish soap, suds, and food.  He was not sure how she managed to keep on working.  Yet, he must admit it impressed him.

Yes, indeed today was full of surprises, but all of them were good for a change. The thought made him grin as he settled down with a movie on his sofa.
