A/N Hello everyone! How have you been? I know it's been about a week and a half since I updated, and three days since I was supposed to, and I'm sorry. This chapter was kind of hard for me to come up with. I had many more ideas for the last six, not the last seven.

Yeah, this is the seventh-to-last chapter! But, since people seemed to like the idea of a sequel, I think I'm going to do it! You'll have to wait and see to find out what the theme is, but stay tuned; I may need your help with a decision or two down the road!

Anyway, here's Chapter 28. Enjoy!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ana’s POV

The next morning, as I got up, plenty of thoughts buzzed through my head. I realized that the summer was going by so quickly. How many more weeks, or even days, did we even have left? When were the lads leaving us? Would they ever come back? What would senior year be like after we had finished this absolutely perfect summer?

I know, I know. I worry too much, don’t I? But you would too, if you were losing some of the nicest people you’ve met.

I sighed, and got up from the bed, stretching out my arms as I did so. As I quickly checked the calendar, my heart sank. It was already a week into August, and I hadn’t even noticed! This left a little more than three weeks or so to spend with the boys, plus to get ready for the school year!

“Ana! It’s time for breakfast!” I heard my dad call from downstairs. “We have your favorite!”

I quickly slipped my favorite pair of slippers on and ran down the stairs. “Is it a cinnamon crunch bagel?” I asked, smiling.

“Yup, and it’s even put through the bread slicer, you picky little girl,” Dad said, laughing as he came over to me, ruffling my messy hair.

I frowned. “It’s only because it became habit. You’re the one who ordered it for me when I was a kid,” I reminded him, elbowing him.

Dad and I had a very interesting relationship. I had always wanted a little brother or sister, and I once made the mistake of saying that around him out loud. He had many moments of being the mature adult he should be, but when he got an opportunity, he would become just like my own little brother.

“Alright, you win,” Dad laughed. “Would you feed Shadow, please? Your mom didn’t feed her before going to her nail appointment,” he added.

“Sure, Dad,” I said, going to find the food scoop, which had moved since last night. It had probably been Dad again. As I fed Shadow, I said, “Hey, Dad, is Mom still mad at me for refusing to go to law school?”

Dad sat down at the table with his coffee. “I don’t know munchkin. She just wants what’s best for you, and you know that.” He always called me munchkin. It had always been his nickname for me.

I nodded, putting the food scoop away. “I know. But I thought she would want me to be happy, you know?” I sighed, walking to the counter where he had left my food.

“She does, Ana. She really does,” Dad said as I took the food into my hands, as well as a glass of apple juice, and brought it to the table, taking my seat next to him. “Here, let me tell you something,” he added.

“Yeah, what is it?” I asked, looking up at him.

“Be an author. It’s your life. I’ve read some of your stories, and they’re really good. I heard your friend Harry raving about a poem you wrote. People need to hear your words,” Dad said, grinning at me.

“You really think I should?” I asked, surprised.

“I really do,” Dad said.

I grinned. “Thank you Dad.” I quickly ate my bagel, not saying much more than “Yum”. As I finished up, I realized I should tell him something. “Hey Dad?”

“Yes?” Dad sipped his morning coffee.

“About Harry…well…he’s my boyfriend.”

Dad spit out his coffee. “He…what? How long has this been going on?”

“Remember NYC?”

“Yes…”

“While we were there,” I explained.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” Dad inquired.

“I…well…I don’t know. I really just don’t know why. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you,” I apologized softly.

“It’s alright. I get it,” Dad said. “Hey, summer’s coming to an end. Why don’t you have a bonfire?”

“That actually sounds like a great idea! I’ll go talk to Mr. Gonzalez-.” I was then cut off by Dad.

“No, we’ll have it in our backyard,” he said, surprising me yet again. We had never, and I mean never had a bonfire in our own backyard. “I’ll talk to Mateo and see if he’ll let me borrow the pit. I’ll also set it up. You guys can make s’mores, stargaze, and just have fun. How does that sound?”

“Um, alright then,” I said softly. “I’ll just go call everyone and tell them what’s going on.” I got up from the table quickly and quietly. I started towards the stairs, but then stopped in my place. I hurried back to Dad and hugged him tightly. “Thank you Dad.”

He hugged me back. “You’re welcome, munchkin. Now hurry and go call them up!” He chided.

“I’m going, I’m going,” I said with a smile before running off to make plans.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“What the heck?” Louis yelled out as he was nailed in the chest with a glob of white paint.

Kelly grinned at him. “That’s called payback,” she said. The thing is, Louis had said something that made Kelly mad. She had been working on a new painting of the pond, and she chose to flick the paintbrush at him. What else could she have done anyway?

Besides, even before she flicked the paint, we were already on the verge of a paint war.

“Kelly…Kelly…ugh, I’m drawing a blank. What’s your middle name?” Louis asked.

“Emily,” Lizzie supplied. “That’s her middle name.”

“Thanks, Liz,” Louis smiled at her, to which Lizzie beamed. He then turned to Kelly. “Kelly Emily Gonzalez, you are so going to get it!” He picked up a paintbrush that had been coated in red paint and flicked it at her. But, Zayn jumped up and ended up taking the hit.

“Paint war!” Courtney screamed out. Before anyone could stop us, we were flinging paint at each other. Nobody was on each other’s sides, so everyone was against everyone, which made it even harder to hide.

I grabbed Kelly’s violet bucket of paint for defense, and hid behind the stairs up to their deck. Hopefully that would be enough protection.

As I peered out from through the boards of the deck, I saw Simone running for her life as Lucy chased her with a paintbrush covered in sky blue paint. Niall was chasing after Lucy with a shade of green on his paintbrush that matched the grass.

I held back a laugh, smiling as I watched them all run around. But the one I noticed was missing was Liam…I realized it too late. I felt paint being splashed onto my back. I yelped and turned around, seeing Liam standing there with a paintbrush covered in black paint.

“Liam James Payne, I am going to get you!” I yelled, grabbing the violet paint bucket. Liam ran off before I could throw the paint at him, so I chased him out from my hiding place. I picked up the paintbrush from the bucket, and attempted to flick it at him. Instead, though, Harry ran in front of me, and he instantly had a violet paint splatter in his curls.

I saw the paint in his hair and couldn’t help but laugh. Harry reached up and touched the paint. “Ana!” he yelled out.

“Sorry, Harry! I was trying to get Liam!” I called out, running past him and continuing to chase Liam through the backyard.

“Hey! Leave my boyfriend alone!” Courtney yelled, running after me with bright orange paint.

“He started it!” I retorted.

“Well, I’m ending it!” Courtney said, flicking me with the paint on her brush. “And since when did you get a bucket of paint?”

“I grabbed it,” I said, and then flicked at her with my own paintbrush. “See ya!” I laughed, and ran off before she could come after me.

Ana!” she called. But I kept running, flicking the paintbrush at everyone I passed. They tried to hit me back with their paint, and some of them succeeded, while others hit people on the other side, which made me laugh.

“Wow, you guys, you’re getting yourselves instead of me,” I taunted.

“Oh, that’s it. Get her!” I heard Niall yell, and all of them were after me and me alone. Me against ten other people with paint…it was definitely not a good sign. I ran off as fast as my legs could carry me, hoping that I would end up being safe.

I wasn’t.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, this shirt was toast. The face of Sheldon Cooper on my red shirt was drizzled with blue and pink paint, and there was one big glob over the letters on the shirt that made it look like instead of saying BAZINGA, it looked like it said BINGA. And that was just the front of my shirt. I had no idea what was on the back. Plus, my pants weren’t much better. They were covered in paint, and one huge smudge of violet from when I had to brush off some grass from when I tripped and it all stuck to my hand.

Let’s just say that I looked like the canvas of a Jackson Pollock painting. The boys’ stylist, Caroline, would be so ticked because they looked the same way. Plus, Lou would probably hate all the paint that ended up in the boys’ hair, but it was mainly Harry, though, whose hair was covered. Neither of those two would trust the girls and I again with the boys, at least that was my guess.

Either way, the war had been fun. I just wished this summer didn’t have to end. The boys would be gone sooner than we knew it. Harry would be gone, and I don’t even know if he’ll remember me once he goes back into the public eye entirely while we’re at school. What if those girls that throw themselves at him make him forget me?

Ugh. Now I sound just like Lucy. Oh! This is why she didn’t want to be with Niall (no matter how much we could tell they wanted to be together), and I completely get it now!

By now, the sun had set and the stars were out. My dad had actually kept his word and gotten the fire pit from Mr. Gonzalez, and he had lit it about 30 minutes ago. We all sat on the grass in the small circle like the first night, just talking and goofing off.

“Other than the paint all over us, this kind of feels like our bonfire at the beginning of the summer,” Courtney observed.

“Yeah, it does,” Niall agreed. “Except we’re missing the s’mores…”

“And the random Moments sing along before you guys showed up,” Simone pointed out.

“Random Moments sing along?” Harry asked, looking down at me.

“We got bored,” I said simply with a shrug. I turned to Niall. “And the s’mores will be coming soon. Dad ran out of marshmallows…he was making them blow up in the microwave again,” I added.

“Your dad blows up marshmallows in the microwave?” Liam asked; his eyes wide.

“Yeah, we do it all the time. It’s fun. They become a huge sticky mess, and it’s really cool. They’re much more fun to eat that way too,” I added.

“And, would you remind me why we haven’t done that already?” Louis inquired.

“You never asked,” I shrugged again.

Lucy nodded, and lied on her back, looking up at the stars. “Well, who wants to stargaze?”

“Sounds alright,” Zayn said, and we all joined her as we lied down.

“See those stars right there?” Lucy asked us, pointing at the sky. “They’re the Seven Sisters.”

“Can you give us a landmark? Some of us are all the way over here,” Lizzie said, since she was on the other side of the circle from her.

“Sorry. See that group of seven stars above the house?” Lucy amended.

“Much better, thank you,” Lizzie said. “So those are the Seven Sisters?”

“Yeah, they’ve only been the ones she’s showed you every time that we do this,” I pointed out. The group let out small laughs at that.

“Shut up, I forget things,” Lizzie defended herself.

“Okay, okay, let’s move on,” Liam said.

“There’s the star Simone!” Simone called out.

“There’s a star named Simone?” Niall asked.

“Yeah, Daddy adopted a star for me for my birthday last April,” she responded.

“That’s cool,” Zayn said, as we all kept watching the sky.

Before one of us could even speak up, a shooting star crossed over the sky. “A shooting star! Make a wish!” Kelly exclaimed, pointing at the light moving across the sky.

I closed my eyes and made a wish. I wish that when this summer ends, the boys won’t forget us. Especially not Harry.

I opened my eyes and sat up. I looked around at my friends. Most of them had their eyes already open, finishing their wishes. I looked over at Harry who was lying next to me, and his eyes were still closed. He was actually last to open his eyes, to be fair.

“Long wish, huh?” I asked Harry with a smile.

“What? Oh, yeah,” Harry answered. I opened my mouth to speak, but he cut me off. “But I’m not telling you."

“How’d you know?” I asked.

“It was fairly obvious,” Harry answered.

“Was not!” I exclaimed.

“Was too!” Harry responded with a smile.

“Oh great, here we go,” Louis said. “They’re going to have one of those fights.” He got up and walked over. “Ana, it was obvious you were going to. Everyone does it,” he said.

“If that was all you were going to say, why’d you walk over?” I pointed out.

Louis’s eyes widened. “I…have no idea,” he finally said, to which we all laughed.

Our laughter was cut off by Dad. “I have the marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate right here, if anyone wants it,” he said.

Instead of a verbal response, we all jumped up and ran over to Dad so we could make some more s’mores.

So? What did you all think of this one? Sorry if it was bad. It wasn't as well thought out as the next six chapters will be, and I admit that.

By the way, I have a few things to say. First off: If you haven't checked out Poster Perfect, the 1D, BTR and Beatles fanfic that I'm writing with my friend adreamyreality on my profile, please check it out! We will have another chapter of it up soon, and we'd love to hear your feedback on it!

Second: I'm co-writing another fanfic with my friend ameliaearsaber called Trapped On The 31st. It's on her page, and it's all about One Direction. She says that she doesn't always write the best blurbs, but we'd really love to see what you think on it. Please check it out on her page!

Video of the Chapter: One Direction - Best Song Ever

Now, time for the question, or questions, for this one.

1: If you saw Best Song Ever (which I'm guessing practically all of us have), who's your favorite persona for the boys?

2: At bonfires, what song would you sing as a campfire song?

My favorite 1D persona was Marcel. I just loved him. He was cute as a button (I had to do that)! And for the bonfire song, I'd either choose a slow song like Moments or Little Things, or I'd do The Campfire Song Song from SpongeBob SquarePants.

Don't forget to answer the questions in the comments! I love getting to know the readers, and being able to strike up a conversation with you guys. Plus, please vote and give me feedback on the chapter! I'd love to know what you think! See you next update!
