The next day, Axel came home early, so that gave him and his father more than enough time to get started on building Hugo's indoor ice rink.

"We can build the rink in the vacant room," Garrick suggested.

"We need to make sure it's off limits, so Hugo won't see what's going on," Axel pointed out.

"Good point," Garrick nodded.

While working in the vacant room, Garrick put up a sign that said "Off Limits" on the door.

A few hours later, Hugo came home and saw that his father and brother were gone, unaware that they were in another part of the palace.

"Hi, Mom," Hugo waved.

"Hey, sweetie," his mother, Queen Samira, smiled. "How was school?"

"Fine, thanks," Hugo replied. "Where is everyone?"

"Your father and brother had to go out to take care of some royal business," Samira lied. She didn't want Hugo to know what Garrick and Axel were really doing. "How much homework do you have?"

"I have a math test tomorrow, and I have to study for it," Hugo replied.

"Okay, honey," Samira grinned.

While Hugo stayed in his and Axel's room to study, Axel and Garrick were planning out the ice rink.
