Outside, Jade and Ruby were waiting for their ride home. They were very upset with Sofia. This had been a bad day for them.

"I can' believe Sofia taught prince Hugo our hand clap," Jade sighed.

"I didn't think it would be possible for only two people," Ruby fretted.

Before the girls knew it, Hugo and Axel came out. Axel was playfully teasing Hugo.

"How do you know that?" Hugo asked. "We're only 10."

"I've seen you and Sofia show signs of affection for each other," Axel smirked. "You do everything together. You even let her in your Princely Adventure Club because of her princely nature."

"It's not what you think, Axel," Hugo snorted. "Sofia is my best friend. Why wouldn't I be loyal to her?"

"Well, when a boy and girl are best friends, they live a better life as a married couple," Axel smiled. "You and Sofia would live a happy life together when you get married."

The brothers climbed into their flying coach and headed home. Ruby and Jade had heard what the brothers had said, and every word horrified the girls.

"Did you hear that?" Jade gasped. "Prince Hugo called Sofia his best friend!"

"And his brother said they'll be getting married," Ruby pouted.

The village carriage came to pick up Ruby and Jade. The girls were dismayed, convinced that Sofia didn't want to be their friend anymore.

"Sofia doesn't need us anymore," Jade sighed. "She has a handsome prince."

"I wish it could be the three of us: just you, me, and Sofia," Ruby added.

"Me too," Jade agreed.

As the carriage took off, Jade and Ruby sadly began to sing, reminiscing the exciting days they had with Sofia before Hugo came along.
