When I get to school today, the hallway is buzzing with gossips and giggles, the talented practicing their vocals, and the fangirls holding posters for Will Tucker to sign on.

I heave a sigh of relief as I get to my locker through the thick crowd.

Unexpectedly, one of the cheerleaders screams, which almost sent me to an early grave.

"Will Tucker is..." She didn't finish her sentence before she was pushed to the ground by the excited mob trying to find their way to the parking lot to welcome Will Tucker in his limo.

I unglue myself from my locker as the crowd disperses. As the hallway cleared I hear someone click their tongue. I turn around to see a girl closing her locker with a loud slam. I recognize her from my Civics class. Her parents are rich so people think her a huge snob.

"Savages!" She says in disgust bending to pick her books laying scattered on the floor.

"Here, let me help," I say helping her pick her books.

"Thanks," she smiles. "It's not like they aren't going to see him for the whole year." She says.

"Well, he isn't a celebrity if he isn't given a grand entrance." I chuckle and she joins me.

"Yeah, celebrity." She mocks as I hand her, her books. "He isn't freaking Chris Brown."

"You're right though," I say nodding in agreement.

"Hey!" She snaps her fingers, "I know you, you're that chick from my Civics class." She smiles.

"Yes," I respond.

"Jenny." She stretches her hand out for me to shake, I put mine on hers.

"Maria," I say.

"Oh, I know." I raise my eyebrow in confusion. "Everyone is talking about what went down between you and Stephanie." I wide my eyes in amazement.

Everyone knows already?!

"Gossip moves fast you know."

"You don't say," I say nervously.

"Listen, if she was willing to leave you to kiss Kimi's butt, then she wasn't your friend, to begin with." She says with a nice smile. I nod in understanding, "Well I gotta get to class, I'm not going to stand here because the teachers are too busy kissing Tucker's butt, wanna come with?"

"Yeah, sure. Let me close my locker." I say.

"Maria Colton!!" I hear a familiar voice call out down the hallway.

"Miss Smith!" I greeted back. Miss Smith is our school principal, she and my mum are very close friends, they've been friends since college, so I'm like a child to her, but that earns me more haters from school.

"Miss Reynolds, aren't you supposed to be class?!" She asks.

"On my way Captain!" Jenny replies saluting her, "I'll see you around." She says to me before finding her way to class.

"Bye!" I wave to her and make my way to Miss Smith.

"Good morning." I greet her.

"Thank God, you're not among those fan puppies out there." I giggle as she says fan puppies. "I need you to get me a package from the nurse."

"No problem," I say adjusting the strap of my backpack.

"Here, take this hall pass." She gives me the pass.

"Thank you," I say and make my way to the school clinic.

"Be back soon I need to discuss something with you!."

"Okay!". The hallway is already getting full, students are trying to find their way to their classes as the last bell rings.

I walk into the clinic and see Rachael, the school nurse arranging some pills into the cabinet. Rachael graduated from medical school two years ago but she chose to work in a high school clinic instead of a real hospital.

Talk about humility.

"Hey, Rachael!" I greet.

"Oh, hi Maria." She notices me. "What brings you here? are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Miss Smith asked me to get the package for her." I explain.

"Oh, right." She says as she made her way to her desk and brought out a brown wrapper package and hands it to me. "Here. I've forgotten principal Smith is your second mummy."

"Ugh." I groan, "not you too."

"I'm just kidding." She chuckles. "Be careful, breakable stuff in there."

"Okay," I hold it carefully.

"Do you need a pass?"

"Nah, already got one," I say raising the pass Miss Smith gave me.

"From your mummy?" She teases.

"Please Rachael, grow up." I leave the clinic as I hear her burst into laughter. I shake my head and made my way back to the principal's office. The hallway is already quiet, I guess everyone is in class. I am so going to be late.

I walk into the office and greet the secretary, I am about to enter as I hear a small conversation between two people behind the door.

"Welcome," I hear Miss Smith say, "it's nice to have you back William Tucker."

William Tucker?!! As in freaking, Will Tucker is on the other side of the door!!.

I can never go in there!!

I'm not even cute yet!!

This was not how I pictured our first meeting!! I look down and saw the brown package in my hand.

Okay, here goes.

Tada! There!
Please if anyone of you knows the cure for laziness pls let me know, I think it's already affecting my everyday life and all this corona stuff is not helping at all.
