Sonic POV

Me and Ruby were headed on an elevator to Ozpins office.

Ruby: Sonic, are you sure your okay?

Sonic: It's just a few broken ribs. I should be fine. Do you remember which room Ozpin's  in?

Ruby: Of course I do It was, um, let's see...

She started pressing every button she saw

Sonic: Um, Ruby, why did you press all of them?

Ruby: What are you talking about? I didn't press anything.

Sonic: Right...

It took awhile but we finally made it to Ozpins office. We saw him with Glynda and Ironwood when we walked in.

Ruby: Sorry it took so long. Someone accidentally hit all the buttons on the elevator on the way here. It wasn't me.

Oz: Thank you two for coming, how are you feeling?

Sonic: I'm good.

Ruby: I'd feel better if my bad-guy catching record wasn't 0 for 3.

They looked at us seriously.

Ruby: Okay so that's the tone we're going for,got it...

Ironwood: Ruby, Sonic, I feel it's appropriate to let you know that I think what you two did last night is exactly what  huntress is all about. You recognized a threat, you took action, and you did the very best you could.

Ruby: Thank you, sir.

Oz: Now, the general here has already informed us of the events that transpired last night. But now that you've rested we were wondering if you had anything to add.

Glynda: Was anyone else with them? Did they look familiar to you at all?

Sonic: Well first there was the girl we saw. Ruby spotted her hopping off buildings so we followed her. But, I think that's what she wanted. She smiled at us when we got there and disappeared without saying a word.

Ruby: And the other girl was wearing a mask when we saw her and she never said anything to us, but I know she fought with glass. I don't think that was her semblance  though. Her clothing lit up whenever she attacked.

Glynda: Save for the glass, that sounds like the woman I fought the night we met Sonic and Ruby.

Ironwood: Embedding dust into clothing is an age-old technique. It could have been anyone.

Ruby: Wait, so you think these two girls are connected to Eggman, Torchwick, and the White Fang?

Oz: It's possible. But we still lack the required evidence to link the two together.

Me and Ruby looked at each other and back at them.

Ruby: Actually, I-I think I remember one of them saying something about a hideout or something...in the southeast. Just outside the kingdom.

Oz: Interesting.

Glynda: I thought you said-

Oz: Thank you for your cooperation. Why don't you two go and spend some time with your teams? You have a big day ahead of you.

Sonic: Anytime, old man.

Oz: And please try and be discreet about this matter.

Ruby: Yes sir.

We walked to Rubys dorm where both our teams were waiting.

Yang: What happened!?

Ruby: uh, well umm.

We told them everything.

Shadow: That was risky.

Blake: No, I think you handled it well.

Ruby: I hope so.

Blaze: I'm sure everything will be alright.

Yang: Oh! I know what will cheer you up.

Yang grabbed a small package

Ruby: What's that?

Yang: I don't know yet. Dad sent it to us. I thought we could open it together.

Ruby: Ooh! Something from home!

She jumped on Yangs shoulder and tried to grab it. Yang shook the package a little and a black and white dog fell out.

All: Waaa-aaah!

Ruby: Zweeeiii!

Blake: He sent a dog?!

Blaze: In the mail??

Yang: Oh he does stuff like this all the time.

Blake and  Blaze hid on the top bunk beds.

Blake: Your father or your dog?

Weiss: Are you telling me that this mangly, drooling, mutt, is going to wive with us forevah? Oh yes he is oh yes he is! Oh isn't he adorable?!

Sonic: That was a sudden mood change.

Blake: Please keep him away from my belongings.

Glynda:* over P.A.* Will all first year students please report to the amphitheater.

Weiss: Well we can't exactly leave him here while we're gone for a week.

Yang: Look there's a letter. "Dear girls, I've got to leave the island for a few days. So I'm sending Zwei to you to take care of. Enclosed is all the food you should need. Love you both, Taiyang."

She flips the package over and a bunch of food cans fell out.

Weiss: What is he supposed to do with that?

Yang: Well that settles it, come on boys and girls, Zwei will be here when we get back.

Weiss: Oh I'll miss you so much we're going to be best friends I can't wait to see you again.

Our teams left the room. Leaving me and Ruby alone. Ruby looked at Zwei.

Ruby: Hmm.

Sonic: Are you thinking what I think your thinking?

Ruby: What? It'll be fine.

Sonic: Well, I guess I can't stop you.

Ruby put Zwei in a bag and we went to the amphitheater. She put the bag down and joined our teams and team JNPR.

Sonic: Hey Silver, you haven't said anything in awhile, are you okay?

Silver: ...

Blaze: He can't talk thinks to my surprise pancakes.

Glynda: Quiet. Quiet please. Professor Ozpin would like to share a few words before we begin.

Ozpin: Today we stand together, united. Mistreal, Atlas, Vacuo, Vale. The four kingdoms of Remnant. On this day nearly eighty years ago, the largest war in recorded history came to end. It was a war of ignorance, of greed, and of oppression. A war that was was about more than where borders fell or who traded with whom. But about the very idea of individualism itself. We fought for countless reasons, one of which being the destruction of all forms of art and self expression. As you all are well aware that was something many could not stand for. As a result, those who opposed this tyranny began naming their children after one of the core aspects of art itself. Color. It was their way to demonstrate that not only would they refuse to tolerate this oppression, but neither would the generations to come. And it was a trend that has been held to this very day. We encourage individuality, expressionism, and unity. Through diversity. As I have said, today we stand together, united. But this bond cannot exist without effort. Which is why today, while the rest of the world celebrates peace, huntsman and huntresses will work to uphold it. As first year students, you will be tasked with shadowing a professional huntsman or huntress, on a mission. Some of you may be taken out of the kingdom for several days. Others may work within the walls for the rest of the week. But no matter which path you choose, remember to be safe, remember your training, and remember to do your very best.

He left the stage.

Sonic: Finally, I thought he'd never finish.

Blaze: Don't be rude.

Shadow: Since there's more teams than missions, The Professor has aloud us to join a team of our choosing to even things up.

Sonic: Great, let's join team RWBY. We have the same goal, so they should be taking on a mission in the southeast.

We found team RWBY looking for a mission.

Blaze: Hey, mind if we join you?

Yang: Sure, we were just about to check search and destroy.

Ruby: Here we go. Quadrant 5 needs Grimm cleared out.

Blake: Well, it's in the southeast.

Blaze: Sounds perfect.

Ruby entered the names of our teams but it declined.

Weiss: Wonderful.

Blake: Any other ideas?

Ruby: We mail ourselves there.

Oz: Well that's one option.

Suddenly Oz appeared before us.

Oz: Unfortunately, we determined that the concentration of Grimm was too extreme for first year students. It seems that particular region is rather popular. In fact I have the sneaking suspicion that the eight of you will make your way there no matter which job you choose.

Everyone looked at Ruby and me.

Ruby: Whatever makes you say that?

Ozpin: I'm still curious as to how you all found yourselves at the docks last semester. I'm interested to know how you really learned about a "hideout" in the southeast. And I certainly wonder why witnesses reported seeing robots and rose petals in a dance club sometime ago.

Ruby: Umm... well

Oz: I doubt I'll ever find the exact answers I'm looking for. So, how about this. Instead of waiting for you all to break the rules, why don't we bend them?

Blaze: We won't let you down.

Ruby: Thank you professor.

Ozpin: Do not thank me for this. Teamwork and persistence have carried you far, but you must understand, the things that await you beyond the protection of the kingdom will not care. Stay close to your huntsman at all times. And do exactly as he says. He will be leading you on this mission. And he can have you sent back to Beacon, if he finds your skills to be unsatisfactory. Good luck.

He walked away and the eight of us left the building.

Yang: That wasn't exactly uplifting.

Shadow: It doesn't matter how you see it, it's the truth.

Ruby: It's gonna be tough but I know we can do this.

Random student: Hey team CVFY's back!

We saw team CVFY walking back from their mission.

We walked up to one of the members.

Blaze: Velvet? Are you okay?

Velvet: I'm fine, I had Yatsuhashi to look out for me.

Weiss: Your mission was supposed to end a week ago. What happened?

Velvet: N-nothing happened. It was just, there were so many. Oh but don't worry, you first years are just shadowing huntsmen so you should be fine.

Yang: Riiiiiiight.

Velvet: I should go. Be safe okay?

She walked away, leaving some of us with a little bit of doubt.

Ruby: We can do this.

Sonic: Yeah, We've never backed down before and we're not backing down now.

Ruby: Besides, it won't only be us out there. We'll be fighting along side a genuine huntsman!

Yang: Yeah!

(Timeskip)

When we saw the huntsman joining us every ones mouths dropped.

Oobleck: Hello class! Who's ready to fight for there lives?!
