For the past few weeks Stella found herself hanging out with Julie and the boys much more than she probably should. She became close with each of them, but her bond with Luke was much stronger than the ones she had with the others. Stella would also help him write songs after she told him how she was the writer for the songs of her band she had.

During those weeks of hanging out with Julie and the boys she realized that she's starting to fall in love with the guitarist of the band. She couldn't help herself. She loved the way he's so passionate about music, how he cares for his friends, the way he smiles at her which makes butterflies form in her stomach, and he makes her feel like she's worth something. He makes her feel like a star.

Ever since they heard her singing voice, the boys have been trying to convince Stella to join their band. Even Julie was on board with the idea, thinking it would be great to have another vocalist in the band, and she loved Stella's voice. She thought the ghost girl was quite talented. Stella also gets along quite well with Julie, the two forming a relationship similar to sisters. It just seemed like they immediately clicked when they first met.

While she hung out with Julie and the boys she found out about Julie's dad, Ray, and her little brother, Carlos. She immediately liked Ray when she learned how kind and supportive he is. She was an only child and honestly always wanted a sibling so she thought of Carlos as a pretty cool kid.

"Ellie!"

Stella looks up at hearing that nickname, smiling when she sees Luke had poof into the garage, now standing in front of where she sat on the couch.

Luke was a bit confused to see her alone in the garage, but he smiles at her. "What are you doing here? Not that I'm complaining."

While shrugging, a yawn escapes Stella's lips. "I just got bored at the Ghost Club and wanted to see what you guys were up to."

Luke's smile fell while he looks at her, noticing how tired she looked. "Why do you look so tired? Wait...I thought ghosts can't sleep."

"We can sleep." Stella nods, leaning back against the couch. "But we don't usually need to. I've just been dancing every night. Caleb has been doing more shows at night since that's when the club is more popular."

"So, um, where are the others at?" Stella questioned, looking around the garage.

"Julie is at school, and Alex and Reggie are hanging out with Ray." Luke answered, walking over to the couch and takes a seat beside her.

"Do you wanna hear what we have of Edge of Great so far?" Luke asked her, looking at her with a small smile.

Stella looks back at him, smiling as she nods. "Yeah, of course."

Luke smiles and makes his electric guitar appears. "Okay, so this is what we got so far..."

As he starts strumming and singing the song, Stella starts to feel her eyes getting droopy. She scoots closer to Luke, resting her head on his shoulder while she listened to his soothing voice.

At feeling the weight on his shoulder, Luke looks down at Stella feeling his face grow hot at this kind of contact. Stella looks at him when she felt eyes on her and smiles at Luke. Luke smiles back at her as he continues to sing and play his electric guitar.

When he gets to the end of what they had done with the song, Luke looks back down at Stella, just then realizing that Stella had fallen asleep sometime while he was singing. A smile tugs on his lips, thinking she looked so beautiful. He leans forward, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead.

In her sleep, Stella smiled when Luke kissed her on the forehead. He pulls away and he carefully sets his guitar on the floor while trying not to wake her up. He settles back against the couch as he rests his head on hers. He closes his eyes, letting out a sigh of content, happy with how close they are at the moment.

"Should we wake them?"

"Yeah, we gotta finish working on that song," Alex answered Reggie's questioned. The two boys were back in the garage, staring at their friends sleeping on the couch next to each other.

"I almost don't wanna wake them." Reggie admits, looking at the two sleeping with a smile on his face. He gestures to them. "I mean, look how cute they are."

"Yeah." Alex nods, smiling a bit at the two. "But we gotta finish this song if we wanna preform it at the party tonight."

"You're right." Reggie agrees. He looks at Alex with raised eyebrows. "How are we gonna wake them?"

Alex gets out an air horn he found on the loft out from his back pocket and presses the button on it. The horn fills the quiet room, startling Luke and Stella. The two jump up with a gasp, looking around with panic. They look at Alex with annoyance when they heard him laughing.

He points at them. "You two should've seen your faces."

"What the heck was that for, dude?!" Luke hissed, glaring at Alex. He didn't sleep much, but he did just slept the best he ever has since he became a ghost, and he knew it was because of Stella being next to him.

"We gotta finish Edge of Great before the party tonight." Reggie replies. "And you two were asleep. We didn't really know how else to wake you up."

"So you thought waking us up with an air horn was the best way?" Stella glares at him and Alex causing the two boys to take a step back from her harsh stare.

"It was Alex's idea!" Reggie puts the blame on Alex, pointing at the blonde beside him who sent a glare his way.

Stella sighs. "Well, I better go. Caleb is probably wondering where I am."

"Or you can stay." Luke said and it sounded way more urgently than he meant to say it. Alex and Reggie looks at him with amusement while Stella looks at him with raised eyebrows.

Luke blushes with embarrassment, nervously rubbing the back of his neck. "I-I mean, you can stay and watch us practice if you want to. I'm sure we could use some more help with figuring out the rest of the lyrics."

Stella smiles softly, thinking Luke was so cute when he was nervous around her. "You guys know I always love hanging out with you guys, but I should really get back to the club. I promise I'll be there tonight."

"Okay." Luke smiles. "I guess I'll be looking forward to see you tonight."

The brunette haired girl smiles shyly, looking down at the floor, and hopes her hair that fell in front of her face covers the blush that dusted her cheeks. "Great. I'll see you boys later."

After she said that she poofs out of the garage while Alex shakes his head at Luke. "Dude, you're head over heels for her."

Luke sighs, his shoulders slumping in defeat since he knew he Alex was right. "Yeah, I know."

Soon it was time for the party at Julie's house. The boys and Julie managed to finish writing the song an hour before the party and had time to practice it as well.

Luke kept looking around for Stella in the crowd that formed, but frowned when he didn't spot her anywhere. He hasn't seen her since earlier that day and he was worried he did something wrong.

After Flynn announced Julie and the Phantoms, Julie sat at the piano, thanking everyone for coming, and started the song with just her and the piano.

When Julie got to the chorus, the boys appear behind her while playing their instruments, surprising everyone. Luke looks around the crowd again for Stella, a wide smile tugging on his lips when he noticed her standing near off to the side near where he was. He locks eyes with her causing a smile to tug on Stella's lips.

Stella felt bad for being a bit late for their performance, but she was glad she could make it. The talk she had with Caleb a few minutes ago made her feel uneasy, but seeing Julie and the boys preforming made her feel a lot better.

She starts swaying along to the beat, smiling at her friends having fun doing what they love. She had to admit they were each extremely talented. Looking at the crowd beside her, it made her happy to see them enjoying the performance as well. She also noticed Julie's dad and even her little brother recording their performance.

As Luke sings the second verse, he locks eyes with Stella again. She feels her face grow hot as he kept his eyes on her while he sang. She had to admit he seemed more happy when his attention was on her as he sang.

Julie and Luke then sing the chorus of the song while Julie walks around the piano, smiling at the crowd. She moves over to her best friend, Flynn, taking her hand as she jammed out with her for a bit. Flynn grins at her, cheering her on as Julie moved back to standing near the piano.

Julie looks around at the crowd, smiling when she notices Stella standing near the left side. Stella smiles back at her, giving her two thumbs up. Her way of telling her they were doing great. Julie's smile widened and she turned her attention back to the crowd. Julie moves back to behind the piano and gets on top of it when she and the boys sing the bridge. Stella watches, smiling at her talented friends. Julie kneels on the piano as she sings her heart out.

Julie stands up as she sings the chorus of the song. Luke does a guitar solo which surprised Stella since she didn't think there was a guitar solo in this song. She blushes a bit when he starts walking in her direction, never loosing eye contact with her, and the smile on his face never fell.

Some of the people beside Stella lets out some cheers while Luke does his solo. Some of the girls beside her were even squealing a bit because they thought he was looking like that at them.

After Luke's guitar solo, he winks at Stella before he moves back to his microphone, leaving the blushing girl. Julie belts out the word 'great' while the boys keep harmonizing their voices together for the rest of the chorus.

When the chorus gets to the end, Julie gets off the piano and goes over to sit at it. Alex and Reggie poof away with their instruments when Julie and Luke start singing the last verse while Julie plays the piano.

The crowd cheered a bit when Alex and Reggie poofed away, but they cheer louder after Luke poofs away.

Once everyone was gone and the piano was moved back inside the garage, the boys were throwing around a basketball outside the garage. Stella was with them as well, deciding on hanging out with them.

"You guys did amazing." Stella complimented them from where she sat on the steps.

Luke smiles over at her after he threw the basketball in the hoop that's attached to the garage. "Thanks, Ellie."

"Why were you late tonight?" Reggie asked her, tilting his head to the side.

"Yeah, I'm sorry about that." Stella apologizes, sending the boys an apologetic smile. "I didn't mean to be late. But I just got caught up at the club."

"It's fine, Ellie." Alex reassures her, looking at her with a smile. "We're just glad you could make it."

"Feels like we should be celebrating or something." Reggie smiles, getting the basketball off the ground. He looks at each of them. "What do you guys wanna do?"

As he throws the basketball at Luke for him to catch, the boys and Stella are hit with a jolt of pain. The jolt of pain the boys got was so bad it made Reggie and Luke fall to the ground while Alex stumbled backwards a bit before managing to catch his balance. The jolt of pain that hit Stella made her lean over to the side while holding her left side where she felt the jolt of pain. Her heartbeat beats rapidly as her eyebrows furrow together with confusion. Why was she and the boys getting these jolts of pain?

"Not that." Alex responded to Reggie's question, holding his chest where he felt the jolt of pain.

Luke groans as he stands up, looking at him and Reggie with worry. "That wasn't like the other ones. It's getting worse."

"W-Wait, how long have you guys been getting these jolts?" Stella stuttered out a question, letting out a shaky breath.

"For a few days." Reggie replied.

Luke looks over where Stella was sitting, his eyes growing wide when it looked like she was in pain. He goes over to her, kneeling in front of her while looking at her with concern.  "What's-What's wrong?"

"I don't know." Stella shakes her head, her eyebrows furrowed together with confusion. "I think whatever kind of jolts you guys are getting, I am too."

Reggie looks at her with confusion and worry. "Why would you be getting them?"

"I-I don't know." Stella stuttered, confused and upset at why this is happening.

"Why is this happening to us?" Reggie inquired, leaning over with his hands on his knees, still recovering from the jolt.

"It's because you guys are in serious trouble."

The four of them look over when they hear that familiar voice, surprised to see Willie standing there with a worried expression.

Alex takes a step forward, furrowing his eyebrows together. "Willie?"

"We need to talk." Willie told them, glancing at his best friend with worry when he saw it looked like she was somewhat hurt. He frowned when he realized Caleb gave her the stamp too.

****

"All of these jolts that we're feeling is because Caleb put his stamp on us?" Luke asked Willie. He had his arm wrapped around Stella's shoulder, keeping her close to him. He felt like he should protect her. He also liked it when they were close together and it seemed like Stella didn't mind the closeness either.

The five ghosts were walking on the sidewalks of Hollywood, talking with Willie about what was happening with him since it seemed he knew all the answers.

"He's threatened by you." Willie responds. "He wants you under his control."

"Is that why he put the stamp on me?" Stella questioned, looking at her best friend who looks back at her for a second before looking forward again.

Willie shakes his head. "I don't think so. I think he still cares about you. That's why your jolts aren't as worse as the boy's. And I'm pretty sure he's a bit threatened by you as well after he found out Julie can see you too."

Willie glances at each of them. "You're the only ghosts who can be visible to lifers without his help."

"And you let him do this to us?" Alex stops walking along with his friends, looking at Willie with an upset expression.

Willie stops and turns to look at each of them worry. "I can't stop him. He owns my soul. And Stella can't stop him either no matter how much he might still care for her."

Stella looks at him with wide eyes at when he said Caleb owns his soul. She grow more surprised and upset with Caleb as Willie continues. "He owns everybody soul at that club." Willie is hesitant to speak the next sentence, glancing at Stella with sadness. "Including Stella."

Stella frowns, shaking her head in disbelief as she felt tears form in her eyes. "No...No, that can't be true."

Luke grew angry and upset at hearing Caleb owns Stella's soul. He thought that Caleb cared about her. If Caleb cared about her then why does he own her soul? The boys look at Willie with surprise and sadness.

Willie shakes his head. "If he even knew I was here talking to you, he..." He sighs. "He would destroy me."

Stella frowns at hearing that. She wouldn't know what she would do without Willie. Willie is her best friend and has always been there for her. Things just wouldn't be the same without him.

Reggie crosses his arms. "So, if we don't join his band the weird power outage thing continues until there's no power left at all?"

Willie nods, looking at each of them with a sad expression. "Yes."

"What exactly happens when the power goes out?" Reggie asked him.

"You don't exist anymore." Stella realized.

"She's right." Willie gestures with a nod to Stella. "You don't exist...Anymore. Not anywhere."

"What?" Alex's eyes grow wide, looking at him and at Stella with disbelief.

Luke frowns, looking at Willie after he glances at Stella with concern. "So we have no choice? We have to say goodbye to Julie, give up everything we've built together, and work for Caleb?"

Willie only swallows nervously and sighs, continuing to stare at each of them with sadness. Luke scoffs. "That's some club you guys got going on."

"But there is another option. That's why I'm here." Willie pointed out.

Alex shakes his head. "Another option?"

"Just please hear me out." Willie pleads. "Alright? If you guys could figure out what your unfinish business is, you do it in time, you could cross over and be free from all of this." He looks at Stella. "That includes you too."

"Okay." Luke nods. "So, what's our unfinished business?"

"I-I don't know." Willie stuttered. He gestures to him, Alex, and Reggie. "But since you guys all died at the same time, it might be something you need to do together."

Alex sighs. "Why should we listen to a word you say?"

"Because he's telling the truth." Stella speaks up, looking at Alex.

Willie sent her a thankful smile before he looks at Alex, confessing he cares about him and that he hated he brought him and his friends into this mess.

Before Alex could say anything, Willie quickly said he couldn't be away much longer. He apologizes to them and then poofs away.

Alex sighs before stepping forward, now standing in front of his friends, looking at them apologetically. "This is all my fault. I...I met Willie. Willie introduced us to Caleb, and now...now we're screwed.

Stella shakes her head, stepping away from Luke even though she missed his touch right when she moved. Luke drops his arm to his side, watching as Stella takes a step forward. "This isn't your fault, Alex. If it's anyone's fault, it's mine."

"I-I mean, I work at the club. Caleb made me make a deal with him to help him get you guys into his house band." A tear falls down her face as Stella looks at the boys. They look at her with frowns, not liking it when she was upset. "I'm sorry. I really am. I-I didn't know what else to do, and apparently he owns my soul so I couldn't really do anything anyway, and-"

"Hey, hey, it's alright." Luke stopped her from rambling, stepping towards her and pulls her into a hug. She doesn't hesitate to wrap her arms around him, feeling secure and safe in his arms.

"Everything's gonna be fine." Luke spoke in a reassuring tone. He wasn't for sure if he was trying to reassure her or himself.
