Taehyung's study room was settled on the ground floor of the house, so Yuna's face was at level with his.

"Hi Taehyung!" Her dazzling smile could shine the whole room. He mirrored her smile, intently watching the ends of her dark hair flow in the air by the whirl of the wind.

She was no longer wearing the maroon blazer of her school uniform like she did a few years ago.

It was all about colourful outfits then, the temperate climates colouring her cheeks, which Taehyung found adorable.

"I told you warmth makes you look prettier," he said poking her cheek.

"No...I miss winter."

"But you look pale and weird in the cold." He then noticed a patch of dirt on her jeans clothed knee. He questioningly pointed at it with his finger. "Did you get hurt while jumping over the gate?"

"Oh...yeah. No. I just fell hard," she half lied. She did fall with a heavy impact, but didn't want to mention the bruise that had formed on the skin. "I hope no one heard me."

Taehyung wasn't certain whether to believe her or not; it wasn't the first time she showed up with a dirt mark on her knees. "It's hard, isn't it?"

Yuna glanced up. "What is?"

"To keep visiting m-"

"No," she disliked it when he felt insecure around her, and she would scold him for that. She somehow didn't feel trusted. "I come here because I want to. And for you. I want to spend time with you."

His frown turned into a smile as the words flowed into him; he loved it when she made his little heart flutter in joy. She was his one and only friend who would bring a new wave of hope each time.

"Do you want to walk?" Yuna suggested as she eyed the cloudless sky.

"But what if my mum sees?"

"Taehyung. You know I'm a pro at sneaking out," she smirked as she held her hand out to him.

He smiled as he confidently took her hand and jumped out the window, landing gracefully on the grass thanks to Yuna's support on both of his hands.

"Let's not go too far, I don't want my mum to know I'm gone from where I should be."

"Of course. We can just chill under that tree," she pointed at a large apple tree planted close to the house. "I've always wanted to see it from a close distance."

Taehyung was delighted to hear her comment positively, whether it was directed towards his family or property. He couldn't help but feel guilty at the thought of Yuna knowing how his parents felt about her.

It was rather embarrassing - Yuna was still humane enough to understand his parents' feelings. So why couldn't they leave her alone?

"Woah, it's so pretty!" She reached out as her fingers brushed against the smooth, red surface of an apple.

"Do you want to take some?" Taehyung asked.

"Oh, no! I don't want to ruin this tree's natural beauty!" She rejected the offer as she smiled up to him with shimmering eyes.

They sat down under the tree's majestic shadow, which Yuna admired fondly.

"It's just a shadow," Taehyung said.

"But this tree is beautiful," Yuna retorted. "So its shadow is beautiful, too."

Taehyung sighed as a new thought encircled his mind. "How's college going?"

"Good. I think-" she hesitated for a second, then whispered out the end of the sentence. "I like someone."

"Oh, really?" He curiously looked at her, ignoring the sudden knot in his stomach. He didn't want her to leave him.

"Yeah. Although he is taken," she said, her lips forming a pout.

Taehyung couldn't help but to wrap his arms around her neck, catching her off guard as he leaned his head on her shoulder. "It's okay. I'm here."
