Greed......
I've come to know it well, and Kara makes me greedy as hell, especially at work.
Clark thought to himself, him flying in the air high in the sky as Superman, using his X-ray vision to spy on Kara.
She was lounging in the living room, on the couch, and he could hear a TV show playing.

She then stood up, and walked to the bathroom for the fourth time.
Clark looked away, giving her privacy to urinate.

His feelings were strong, and though she's getting married he is very jealous.

He heard her signature yawn, with a whine, and yip at the end, making him know she is a dog person, or have been around dogs most her life to where she mimics them without her knowing it.

"Mom calling.
Mom calling."
Superman heard her phone go off.

"Shit!"
She hurried up, washing her hands, and ran carelessly into the kitchen to grab her phone.
"Hello?
Mom?
Why are you....ouch!
Mom my ears!
Hurting my acute hearing with shrieking!"
She says to her Mom.
"Oh you heard huh."
She didn't sound pleased her Mom knew something.

"Congrats on your marriage!
Eric is perfect for you!"
Her Mom squealed.

"Mom......I'm still unsure about the marriage as I told you."
She says to her Mom.

"Really?
I thought you would be over the moon?"
Her Mom says.

"Mom, I left Eric myself remember.
I can't give him what he wants.
He wants to turn me as I said, and I am too scared to have that life, especially when I've seen vampires implode into bloody goo."
She says to her Mom.

Turn her into a vampire?!
Oh right I heard her say that before.
Superman thought to himself in shock.

"I just can't.
Because I know once he does, then my eyes won't heal during the transition, and I'll be the first disabled vampire.
He's tried so hard to cure my eyes, and he got nowhere, so I don't want him to get his hopes up in turning me, and it'll break his heart, because he spent a million dollars to try to fix my eyes."
She says to her Mom, her sniffling as so.

"Oh my; but I think that won't happen sweetheart."
Her Mom tries to encourage her.

"I'm not gonna let him turn me, that's it. And I know Eric respects me enough not to force turn me.
Like Godric was force turned and Jessica was.
He don't want that fate for me, since he already expressed it."
She tells her Mom.
"He wants me to have a choice."

"I understand that.
I agree he respects you if he don't force turn you."
Her Mom replied.

"Let's stop talking about it."
She says to her Mom.

"Well tell me about this Superman character."
Her Mom says to her.

"Well, he's saved my life a few times.
He's gentle.....sweet.....and I think I like him.
I heard he's a good hero."
She says to her mother.

"Really?
He sounds like a good fellow, but would you date him as well I won't judge you for having more than one partner."
Her mother asked and Kara choked a little in her coffee.

She coughed a little, then regained her composure, her sounding flustered.
"Mom I'm not gonna jump boning one guy to another so soon, geeze!"

Technically you did so soon.
Superman thought to himself, but he knows she won't tell her mother that, because truly parents don't need to know everything their children do.

She wiped up the coffee she spilled on the floor, and then threw away the paper towel.
"Is he a hunk?"
Her mother asked.

She sighs.
"Oh I know that sigh, so he is!
Give me the details!"
Her mother begged.

"I can't really see him well cause of my blindness though, but he allowed me to feel his face, so he is handsome I guess."
She he could tell was being honest in her voice, and she sighs.
"Since he saved my life a few times I think he's a great guy.
If datable I'd try to date him if possible, but Eric demands I marry him to protect me from other vampires around the world."

"Really?
I mean if it's to protect you, then why not marry him?"
Her mother asked.

"Because I don't want to be tied down to a guy yet."
She tells her mother.
"Besides, I'm disabled, and being married is a burden to myself and my partner because of my disability."

Superman felt sorry for her, mainly empathy too along with sympathy.
"Eric took me to so many doctors, and they all said the same thing, that nothing can cure my eyes as I have said before.
I'm afraid if he turns me like I said, that I'll be the first legally blind vampire, and I can't have that, it would break his heart, so that's why I ran from Louisiana."

Her mother sighed.
"I figured that's why you left.
I mean Eric cherished you.
He truly loved you.
Hell he came to my home asking for my blessings to marry you."

"Did you say yes Mom?"
She asked her Mom.

"Of course I did.
He's protected you for so long, especially protected you when that Maenad showed up in town."
Her mother replied.
Barking ensued on the phone.
"I better go, the dog is asking for his meal."

"Alright Mom.
See you later."
She then hung up, and sighs, then sets her phone on the counter, her leaning against it, tilting her head up.
"I better get ready for work."

She started getting ready for work, dressing properly in a black shirt, with a cartoon character on it, and long black sweatpants with a cartoon character on it, and black socks, and he watched her hold a mirror close to her face, as she combed her hair.
She then sets the mirror down, and yawned, and then walked to the kitchen, grabbing her phone, the charger, and stuck them in her purse that was on the couch, and she grabbed it.

She headed towards her door, feeling her hands along it, then grabbed the knob, which she tilted her head to the side, and he knows she was listening to the click of the door, and she opened the door, her locking it behind her, and she felt her feet along the steps on the porch, and she stepped down carefully, and she avoided a skateboarder in time before he hit her.

"Bitch!
Watch where you're going!"
The skateboarder shouts at her.

"I'm legally blind asshat!"
She shouts back, her not afraid of firing back at anyone.

He loved how she spoke her mind towards other people, how she was courageous to do so, and she wasn't fazed by telling others off.

She then started walking to The Daily Planet, since she doesn't live too far away from it, the home she lived in was an old skinny Victorian apartment complex, which was converted to modern living quarters.

He flew high to where nobody could see him, and made sure she made it safely to The Daily Planet.
