"Gidget, honestly, I understand that you worry about other people but is there a reason why you're accompanying me to the roof?" Tiberius asked some time later. Thinking for a moment, he added, "And why in the world are we taking the elevator?!"

"One, I want to get accustomed to taking this up to that roof of yours," Gidget answered, sitting in one corner of the elevator. Looking over at the old hawk, she went on to answer the first part of Tiberius's question, "And I just want to escort my best friend home on his birthday." Glancing up at nothing in particular, the hawk seemed to be questioning the heavens how his life ended up like this. Snickering quietly, the fluffy white Pomeranian's tail wagged a little as a soft smile spread across her face. Sighing heavily, the old red tailed hawk asked another question that was on his mind, "Alright, why'd you bring the camera?"

Biting her lip, Gidget slowly turned her gaze towards the camera that was next to her. She hadn't told Tiberius yet but it was rolling, recording everything they were doing. She also wasn't gonna tell him why she was recording. Her left ear flicking nervously, she shuffled her paws as she mumbled, "Guess you'll have to find out."

"I swear, if someone put a freaking clown up there or painted my shed pink..." Tiberius grumbled, crossing his wings. His talons on his right foot tapped in a steady rhythm on the elevator's floor. Before she could reassure the old hawk that there was nothing like that, Gidget sighed with relief when the elevator stopped and the doors opened. The two animals stepped off and headed for the door that led to the apartment building's rooftop. Gidget grabbed the camera and followed Tiberius as he led the way. As the hawk opened the door, the late sunlight shone on both of them. Squinting her eyes, Gidget smiled quietly when she saw that Sweetpea had done exactly what she had him do earlier.

"At least my shed isn't pink but I still think there's a clown lurking- what in the world?" Tiberius murmured when his eyes settled upon a small present with white wrapping paper and red ribbon sitting beside his shed.
