*sips my orange juice* Yes, it's that time of the year again.

It's now been exactly two years
since I burdened you all with my idiocy.

So let's look back at it, because I'm unoriginal and love talking about myself.

The vacation of 2017, my sister and I went to an exhibition about Japanese art. On a small TV, in the right corner of the room, they played small scenes out of the first Pokémon movie. There was also an adorable robot, but that's beside the point. My sister and I got intrigued and we watched lots of episodes of season 1.

I fell in love with the relationship between Ash and Misty, looking up fanart, because I'm trash like that. Slowly but surely I fell into a fandom for the first time in my life.

And constantly I'd see these Truth or Dare books come around. I was interested and went to read them. But Wattpad said "If you make an account now, you can read this for FREE", which scared me off and I didn't dare to come back for two full weeks or something. Why is no one talking about such a terrifying notice? Like, is Wattpad secretly taking money off your bank account or something because you didn't make an account? Stop playing me like this, Wattpad.

Anyway, the 14th of September, 2017, coincidentally my mother's birthday. I was home, my iPad was dying, so I put it in the charger. My sister was in her room because she didn't want to watch any more Pokémon today. I, again, saw a Truth or Dare book with the Pokémon characters, and thought to myself: "Okay, we all knew this would happen eventually." and made an account.

From then on the account @LapisLazulli2 existed and blessed you all with it. So, fun fact time about the origin of the name LapisLazulli2 and my first attempts at socialising on Wattpad:

• Surprisingly, LapisLazulli2 is not a Steven Universe joke, but a Pokémon one, since this was (almost exactly) my account name on Pokémon GO. The extra l was a typo I did before I went on Wattpad. You have been lied to.

• My first profile picture was the background I put behind one of the tags I edited. My first Pokémon-related profile picture was of Barry (I think).

• I was a silent reader, up until the moment @Milkythemusicalmarf (who deleted her account) replied on my book. She was basically the one who influenced me the most as a reader, and my teacher as a writer.

• My first follower was Pupsey, and I was very scared and intimidated by the amount of followers she had. I honestly followed her because I liked her book and wanted to support her. I didn't expect her to follow me back, and it made me very happy she did. >//<

• I was so envious of the friendship going on between Mistyaaml4ever, @Milkythemusicalmarf, Itosuzuno29, Pupsey and some other people. The first time I truly did my best to interact with them was in that long ass chain comment in GingerAndy's book Paired Up. I was so scared they wouldn't like me or think I was just an attention seeker or plain annoying, but I was received very well and these people quickly became my friends, most of whom I still talk to up to this day. The chain comment also gets updated from time to time, which is always funny to look back at, and remember how cringy but pure I was back then.

• Besides them, I also met Alpha_Sapphire_ very early in my Wattpad "career". She was funny and at first I was a bit awkward around her, but she quickly became someone I felt very comfortable talking to.
About a month after that, I found out she was one year older and also Dutch. It's been almost two years and we still refuse to text each other in Dutch. XD

• My first book False Hope was something I made on a whim because I wanted something to do. I happened to learn a lot from it and found something I enjoyed doing.

• At some point, I started reading Sylveon12's book If The Pokémon Characters had Facebook, where I came across PersonSayinStuff, another person I idolised and was scared of coming in contact with. It took me a long time to follow her, and I don't know when, but at some point I accidentally unfollowed her and only realised a month or a few weeks after. ^^' I felt so bad about that. Side note, I'm scared of contacting people a lot. It's gotten easier, but it's now difficult for me to reach out to other BNHA fans I didn't know from the Pokémon fandom before. Help.

I soon became obsessed with Wattpad and looked on it and wrote every chance I got. This was definitely my most active, and best time on Wattpad. I got in the hundred notifications on a daily basis. I got new followers almost every day. False Hope gained popularity. It's all been going downhill since I came on Discord, tbh. XD

But we know it by now, my first year was very happy and I met so many people, and a few things happened in between it around May, June and July, but it all worked out fine!

Then third year of secondary school came. Boi oh boi.

Motivation to continue on with school dropped almost immediately. I got tired quickly. I had been too fed up with my friends on Discord at the end of last year and it had taken such a massive blow on my mental stability. My ex and I got into a big fight and I refused to talk to him for over a month. Golf420—whom I talked to the most at that time—had so many problems and mental breakdowns, I felt like there was something I needed to do for him, which was the wrong mindset and I completely died under the pressure I caused myself.

My grades dropped. I got irritated quickly. My physical condition seemed to worsen too.

When Pupsey talked in her book about herself and the things that happened to her, she said she was slightly envious of my ever so cheery attitude. I felt flattered, really, but sadly, I'm not always this cheery at all. Even though I really wish I could be a person you'd be envious of, Pups. ><

Anyway, you get the entire idea about last year. Depression, not much activity, no book to work on, resulting into the mess that was third year of secondary school.

So let's push that aside and say "It's a new year, let's try again!"

As I mentioned in a long lost chapter of this book, I do have plans for the future. I really wish to become active again, and try to gain new friends, despite how easily I hide behind the fact I have great friends already. So, let's quickly go through the things I plan to do for the coming year:

• Publish Hero. A Villain Deku AU. I've actually been pretty happy with how it's going up until now. I'm planning not to go overboard with this one and just use it to write and interact with you guys, so I'm also gonna publish the first chapter immediately after writing it (unlike I do with Castle of Lies). So to my BNHA fans out there, please try reading it when it does come out! ^^ Well, if you want to, of course.

• Delete Fighting Arrows. It's actually been something I've been thinking of for some time now. I really liked the story idea I had back then, and it obviously started better than False Hope. But I don't think I'll be able to finish it, so I'm going to delete it. (To the people that didn't know already.)

• Get to at least chapter 20 of Castle of Lies. Okay, this is more of a challenge than it is a plan, but I thought up CoL's story pretty early on, and it's been at least one and a half year, and I'm still stuck in the early stages of the story. I'm really excited to publish it, but I also want to actually try hard with this one. It may sound easy, but believe me, it's not.

• Publish some more one shots. The actual meaning of the one shot book was so that I would actually publish some stuff to show you guys, but I haven't done much of that yet, so I plan on doing that soon. Please request stuff as well. I know the first one was Diabolik Lovers (which most people, including me, aren't interested in), but I really take most requests, so please give me the motivation to write. uwu

Now that I've looked back upon the old days, boasted about the grand plans I'm probably not gonna make true, I've got one last thing I want to mention...
