Molly led me into her room.

Almost immediately, I blurt out, "So what type of potion do we need to make?"

Molly smiled slightly.

"Just a simple potion" Molly said as she  grabbed random ingredients and put them inside of a cauldron- Wait, since when has Molly been this good with potions?

Molly finished throwing unrelated ingredients into the caldron.

"So... Kieron" Molly started. "Ki is just fine" I interject quickly. I'm done with people calling me by my full name today.

Molly quickly nodded in understanding. "So... Ki" she corrected. "I can't help but notice that you're up and walking around"

I nod and watched her add a vial to the cauldron.

"Even after taking that hard blow to the head" Molly said, stirring the contents of the cauldron with a large wooden spoon.

"Yeah, healing potions do seem to heal- Shocking, I know" I reply, glancing at her curtly.

Molly simply smiled. "Well... I just want to know how much rest you've been getting"

Honestly, Not that much. From dealing with my body trying to heal, to Feather's mood swings... don't forget to mention the drama between Brandon and Feather- It's actually pretty exhausting.

I blink slowly, realizing that I said all of my thoughts out loud.

Molly stared at me, concerned. "Kieron, You need rest" she said softly. "I'm concerned for you"

Huffing, I roll my eyes. "Don't call me by my full name"

Molly's stare only intensifies.

"You know, Kieron? Feather's a big girl, whether you realize it or not, She is perfectly capable of taking care of herself"

Shaking my head, I chuckle softly. "If it weren't for me, then she would be dead by now"

The words sink in as a soft wave of realization washes over me, putting much more harsh emphasis on the words I spoke.

My heart grows heavy as I think of the numerous times Feather was knocking on Death's door, but somehow ran away just before he answered.

Molly gently shook my shoulder. "Ki... You spend too much time absorbed with Feather- I know you love reading her thoughts, but it's not healthy for you to keep doing this without proper rest"

I shake my head. "No, I can't rest! My Feather needs me!"

Molly arched her eyebrow and sighed. "I take it you've fallen in love with Feather?"

Unlike Brandon, I'm not timid or shy about it. I immediately nod my head.

Molly handed me a few pills. "Take these" she ordered. I shook my head.

Molly nodded. "Yes, It'll help you rest...Please... just get some rest" she pleads.

Just as I'm about to reject the pills, I look into Molly's worn out eyes. A certain sadness radiated from her, completely different than her usual bubbly personality.

Reluctantly, I take the pills and feel my body relax...

I stand outside of me and Brandon's room, frozen in place as I poised my hand to knock on the door.

Before I could make a movement, I watch as the door swings open and Brandon stepped into the hallway, almost brushing against me.

As his eyes meet mine, I noticed as he froze as well. Quickly looking away, he stepped past and walked into the kitchen.

My eyes can't help but follow his tense figure as he walked.

Sighing, I step back into my room. Looking around the small space, a pained smile appeared on my face.

So much has happened in this room.

From Brandon and I spending a night in here, to staring at the stars together, I can't help but ache as I think about everything that's happen in the... year?

Has it really been a year?

Or rather, over a year already?

Shaking my head, I rid my body of my amour and scatter it on the ground. As I reach to pull back my blanket to finally get some rest after this exhausting day, I can't help but notice the red petals peeking out from under my pillow.

Out of pure curiosity, I pick up my pillow to be met with a gorgeous red rose, trimmed of all of the thorns.

Beside it, lay a single note.

For you... it said. Quickly glancing out the window to the outside, I watch from a far as Brandon's eyes remain on me.

I quickly look back at the rose and let out a loud scream. Suddenly, I rip the rose to shreds, fuming with anger.

I hissed and glared at Brandon, making him flinch and look away.

His fear made me smirk as I take the fistful of flower parts and let them flutter to the ground, feeling no sort of remorse.

As if a flower could heal a full year's worth of lies and controlling behavior.

'For you' huh?

What did he ever do for me?
