I wake up to beep beep beep. I look around the room and I see white walls and a tube in my arm. I follow the tube to a machine.

Where am I?

The machine starts to beep faster as I feel my heart pick up speed.

Is anyone going to tell me where I am?

I hear the machine go beep, beep beep and then slowly a beeeeeeeep.

"We're losing her." I hear someone shout.

Chad POV

The plane lands at LAX. I step off the plane and move toward the waiting limo.

The driver opens the door. "Where are we going, Sir?"

I look at him. "Cedars Senai. My wife is there."

The driver shuts the door and he climbs into the seat. He takes me straight to the hospital.

At the hospital I see Joy crying.

What happened to Grace.

I run over to them. "What's going on?"

Jensen shakes his head. "She..."

The doctor walks out the door and he looks around. His eyes land on Joy and Jensen.

"We lost her for a few minutes. But, right now she's in a medical induced coma and we don't know how long she'll be like that. The next 48 hours is a crucial period."

"Can I see her? She's my wife."

The doctor looks at Joy and she nods. "I'll show you to her room."

I whisper to Joy. "What did you tell him?"

"I told him that Grace is my sister and that I wanted know how she was doing. I also mentioned her husband would be coming in the upcoming days. The doctor was making sure that you were the husband."

I hug her. "Thank you." I follow the doctor to the room.

Tears spring to my eyes when I see Grace on the bed with tubes all over her.

I move into the room and I hold her hand. "Grace, it's Chad. I need you to come back to me. I have plans for our future and they involve you. I want to have kids with you. I was thinking we could have three boys and the youngest and daughter. That way she can be protected by her brothers. I don't want our daughter to date. So, with her having brothers that would stop the boys coming to her." I laugh. "You'll probably tell me to grow up and let our daughter do what she wants. But, I won't be able to let her go as she will be Daddy's little princess." I lie my head on the bed. "Please, come back to me." I close my eyes.

I don't know how long I've been asleep for before a hand is placed on my shoulder. I turn towards the person and I see that it's my ex.

She smiles. "Hey, baby. I heard you were." She pulls my face to hers and she kisses me.

I push her away from me and then I wipe my mouth. "What are you doing here, Abrielle?"

She pouts. "I wanted to see how you were doing."

I glare at her. "I'm married to Grace. Now, would you leave."

She shakes her head. "I can't do that. I came here for a reason." She places her hand over he flat stomach. "I'm pregnant and the baby is yours."

I know that baby wouldn't be mine. I wore protection with her all the time.

I cross my arms and really look at her. "That child's not mine. You should be with the father of that child."

"I am with the father. It's a shame she won't be the first one to have a Kristofferson running around the place first. After all you were mine from the beginning and you didn't know it."

I rise. "I was never yours, Abrielle. I am and always will be Grace's. If you don't leave notebook have security escort you out."

She smirks. "I'll cause a scene and I'll never ruin your friendship with Jensen and Joy. I know they like and respect you. If they found out this baby is yours that friendship would cease to exist. Do you want that."

Joy appears at the door at that exact moment. "Abrielle, I see you've decided to make an appearance. It's a little late don't you think?"

She moves over to Joy. "It not late when your carrying someone's baby. I knew I was pregnant on our wedding day. I wanted to tell Chad the news after we were married. But, I never hit the chance. I was taken and held captive by..." She starts to shiver. "It's not important."

I know who she was kidnapped by. I just don't know why he let her go. I was hoping she would stay home longer than this.

Levi enters the room. "Baby, we need to leave. You should leave these nice people alone."

Abrielle hits Levi a few times. He grabs both of her arms in his. "Where going home now." He pulls her out the door and he mouths. I'm sorry. He exits the room with her.

Joy look at me. "That was Levi. I have a question for you. Do you know him?"

I look at the ground and then back at her. "Yes, I know him. He was the guy that took Abrielle away from me. I didn't know how Rui tell that woman I didn't want marry her. My eyes were made for the beautiful woman in this bed. No other woman are going to capture my attention."

Jensen places a hand on my shoulder. "Your daughter will capture your attention and heart." He kisses Joy. Then whispers. "You'll be the only roman to share a bed with me until I die."

"Or snore!" She whispers.

I laugh.

Joy and Jensen are perfect together. I thought watching them.

Joy walk over to the bed and she touches Grace's hand. "Jensen and I need to go, Grace. I need you to wake up soon. I'm not sure how Chad will handle you being gone. Please, wake up." Jensen wraps his arm around her shoulder. "We'll be back tomorrow."

Jensen and Joy exit the room.

The doctor walks into the room with a cot. He looks at me. "I thought you may want to stay the night. So, I brought you a bed to sleep on."

I smile. "Thank you so much."

He sets up the bed for me. He gets blankets and pillows for me.

I kiss Grace's forehead. "I'll be here when you wake up gorgeous." I move over to the bed and I lie down.

A nurse walks into the room to check on Grace. She looks at me. "Hi, I'm here to check on her. I'll be out of the way in a moment."

I look at the brown haired girl in front of me. "Take your time. I want to know that my wife is in good hands while she's here."

She nods. "I'll do my best Mr Kristofferson."

At least she knows who I am.

She checks the IV drip. She takes the bag off and replaces it with a new one. She adjusts the machine. "I'll be back during the night to check on her." She exits the room.

I close my eyes.
