Back in Beacon Hills, the students were welcomed back into the building.  Liam and Mason notices a row of lockers were being worked on, they both look over in shock at the claw marks.

"Hey, man, that's my locker.  Why can't I get my stuff?"  A student whines to a teacher who holds him back.

"What the hell did that?"  Mason leans in to Liam.

"I don't know.  But, whatever it was, I think it was pissed."  Liam says.

The speakers suddenly begin to squeal loudly, causing everyone to wince.  The voice of the principal echoes in the hallways.

"Attention all students.  Mr. O'Quinn's classes are canceled for today.  If anyone knows his whereabouts, please let the office know immediately."

"That doesn't sound too ominous."  Mason says sarcastically.

Liam stops in his tracks when he sees Hayden leaning on a wall, talking to Theo.  Theo looks over to him, giving him a smirk, leaning in closer to Hayden as he talks to her.

Liam snarls softly, jealousy seeps into his pores.

"You said Scott told you not to do anything."  Mason reminds him.

"I know."  Liam growls.

"Liam, you said you weren't gonna get involved."  Mason says.

"I know."  Liam grits out.

Theo smirks over to him once more and walks with Hayden away.

"Liam, don't get involved."  Mason gets in Liam's way, warning him.

Liam sighs, but still pissed.

In Mrs. Finch's class, Liam desperately needed to talk to Hayden, yet, her being with Theo bothered him so much. Mason needed to talk to Corey to get more information from him like he promised Liam, but, he also wanted another date.

"Co-dominance, a relationship among alleles where both alleles contribute to the phenotype of the heterozygote.  Quite a mouthful, I know, but it's exactly what we'll be learning in today's lab.  Students in the first and third row, look behind you.  These are your partners."

Liam and Corey sat in the front area, Liam looks behind him and to his relief and yet despair, Hayden was his partner.  Corey looks behind him and sees a girl classmate, but suddenly, her chair is being pulled away and Mason takes her place, smiling and blushing at Corey.  Corey smiles back, and turns back to the teacher, laughing silently.

Theo sat in his class as the teacher passes out tests that was assigned today in math class.  The teacher looks around and sees several seats unoccupied.

"Has anyone seen Stiles or Scott McCall?  Or Josie Thompson?  Can't be the only one who thinks it's slightly coincidental they're all sick on the same day? And Lydia Martin wasn't in class today either."  She asks the students.

Theo smirks silently, "She won't be in for a while."

Everyone turns to look at him, he looks up to the teacher and smiles, "Medical issues."

The teacher slowly nods and goes back to passing out the test.  Theo looks over and sees Malia looking at him through the hallway.  He smirks knowingly as she walks away.  She needed his help again.

Lydia walks down the halls in Eichen House, in her mind at least.  She walks slowly down the familiar hallway, and sees what's left of Valack's old cell.  The glass was shattered, broken large enough to give him access to escape.  She walks closer and closer till she's walking over the glass, she couldn't feel the glass stabbing into her bare feet.  It was just a dream, right?  She jumps as she blinks and sees the glass was back the way it was and hears Meredith's voice again as she steps forth from the other side of the glass cell.

"Do you know how he did it?"  She asks.

"He put the recorder in the cup to amplify my voice."  Lydia says.

"It didn't just amplify your voice.  It gave it direction."  Meredith holds a cup and the tape recorder, pressing play and putting it into the cup.  "Focus.  Valack used your scream as a tool by focusing it.  If you're going to use it as a weapon, you need to learn to do the same. Same..."  She presses the cup on to the glass, and suddenly the sound of Lydia screaming filled the cup, the glass began to crack till it shattered all around them.  She needs to focus, but how can she?

"Remember that in co-dominance, neither allele is recessive.  The phenotypes of both alleles are expressed."  Mrs. Finch continues with her lessons.  "Corey, in human blood, what is a good example of co-dominance?"

"Type AB."  Corey answers.  Mason looks over to him, impressed, making Corey blush a little.

"Very good.  So today you're going to solve a little mystery.  Two couples had babies on the same day in the same hospital.  Were the babies switched? Open your packets and read the instructions."  She instructs the class and they get to work.

Hayden sighs and looks over to Liam who was trying to occupid himself, "Gonna talk to me?"  She asks.

"I'm reading the instructions." He says.

"You know what I mean."

"You mean how you're hanging out with a total psycho that tried to get me to kill Scott and then did it himself? Yeah, okay, let's let's talk about that."  He says sarcastically.

She scoffs, "That total psycho brought me back to life.  Remember that? I'm not dying again."

"You don't have to..."  She cuts him off.

"Why? Because Scott's gonna save us? He doesn't even know what's coming."  She glares at him.

"What do you mean? What's coming?"  He asks, confused.

Mrs. Finch walks up to them, "Seems to be a lot of discussion over here.  Can't imagine you've already solved the mystery, have you?"  She asks them.

Liam sighs, "No."

"Get to it."  Mrs. Finch tells them with a warning her voice.

Mason decided to face Corey after Gym class.  He couldn't believe what Corey just asked him.

"You want to go out again?"

"Yeah."  Corey nods as he gets his shirt, showing off his bare chest to Mason.  He was a skinny figure, but still carried muscles in the right spots.  Mason almost drooled, but he had to focus.

"No.  No way."

Corey frowns, putting his shirt on, "Why not?"

Mason scoffs, "You actually have to ask 'why not'?"

Corey shrugs, "You like me.  Go out with me."

"But you're still with Theo.  You...You're with the bad guys."  Mason stutters.

"There are no bad guys."  Corey assures him, scoffing a little.

Mason looks around him making sure no one was listening, "There are definitely bad guys.  Some of the bad guys are called Dread Doctors.  You don't get a name like Dread Doctors and not get classified as the bad guys."

Corey was starting to lose his patience with Mason, "That's what none of you get.  There aren't gonna be any good guys or bad guys.  It's either gonna be dead or alive.  I want to be alive.
Don't you?"  Corey asks as he moves to stand closer to Mason.

"Not if I'm left standing with the bad guys."  Mason scoffs, but his breath begins to hitch as Corey moves closer till they're nose to nose.

"How about with me? Stay alive with me."  Corey says seductively and leans in to kiss him with passion.  Mason kisses back for a short kiss.  It was enough to make his arousal shoot up.  His breathing picks up a little as he looks up into Corey's eyes.  He sighs in defeat.

"Fine."  Corey smiles at that answer.  "But I'm not going out with you again."  Mason states.

Corey chuckles softly, he doubt Mason could resist him, which proves his point as Mason pulls him in for a longer kiss full a passion and lust.  Mason holds on to Corey's neck as he kisses him.  Corey kisses back just as passionately.  They slowly pull away, Corey's grin never left his face as he looks down at Mason.

"Probably not."  Mason adds, panting.

Corey gives him a serious look, "We're gonna be okay.  I know you probably don't believe it, but Theo is looking for the same thing."

"You mean the last Chimera."  Mason says.

"That's not what he's calling it."  Corey shakes his head.

"What is he calling it then?"  Mason asks, frowning.

"The Beast."

Edward holds Kira in his arms, stroking her hair as she rests against his chest.  Neither of them said a word, but they guessed nothing could be said.  He just hopes and pray to whoever was listening that his mate will be safe and pass the test the skinwalkers give her.

"What if I fail?" She whispers.

He looks down at her and frowns, "You won't.  I have faith in you."

"I think you have too much faith.  The skinwalkers are right, I'm scared of myself.  I don't want to give the fox the opportunity to take over again.  What if I hurt you?"  Her voice cracks.

He sighs and kisses her forehead, "You won't.  Our love is stronger than the fox.  I know it.  I can feel it.  That night at the club, when the fox took over and I stopped you.  The fox was angry, but when you both looked into my eyes, you stopped.  The fox stopped.  Because it knew I was it's mate.  If you feel the fox taking over, think about me.  Maybe it'll help."  He suggests.

Kira sighs deeply, she could try.

They both look up as Noshiko comes into the teepee, she gives them both a small smile and kneels down beside Kira, pulling the hide off of her wound.  She frowns and picks up a wet cloth to wipe the mud off her skin.  The wound was gone already.

"You've already healed."  She says and looks over to Kira's worried face.  Kira grips on to Edward's arm tightly.  "Kira, you're going to be fine."

Kira looks over to her mom as she sit up from Edward's arms, "Would you really leave me here? With them?"

Noshiko sighs but gives Kira a determined look, "If it's the only thing that saves your life, then yes."

Kira's heart broke, her own mother would leave her here, to be a skinwalker.  Edward rubs her back for comfort.

"And I'll stay here with you."  He says.

That didn't make Kira feel better, well maybe a little, but she didn't want to stay here.

"What if I can't pass their test? What if I fail?" She asks her mom.

Noshiko frowns, giving her a strong look of confidence and reaches for Kira's sword, snapping it into the sheath.

"Don't fail."  She says and hands Kira her sword.

Kira takes it and sighs, she looks over to Edward who gets up and holds a hand out to help her up.  He helps Noshiko up as well and follows Kira out the teepee.  Kira places her sword in her strap and puts on her back.  She looks back to her mom who watches the two of them.  Edward tilts her head to make her look at him.  He strokes her cheek gently.

"You can do it."  He says.

She gives him a small smile and sighs, she turns to go, but he pulls her back and kisses her with passion, holding her tight against him as she wraps her arms around his neck.  His tongue dances with hers in their mouths.  Her skin shivers at the feel of it.  They slowly break the kiss and look into each others eyes.  In their eyes was nothing but love.  He slowly lets her go and watches her go around the boulders as the wind whooshes around them.  She turns and sees the skinwalkers looking down at her from the boulders.  She gives them a look that lets them know she's ready.

Scott, Josie, and Stiles rush towards the gas station they found.  After they ran out of gas, they decided to look for gas.  What luck it was that they were only a few miles away from the gas station.  The sun was just barely touching the mountains when they reached the gas station.  Scott carries the gas jug as Stiles runs towards the doors.  To his disappointment,

"Locked."  He sighs and jiggles the door.

But that didn't stop Scott, he goes over to the pump and sees the chains around it.  He gives the lock a swift tug and yanks it off with the chains.

"You got a twenty?"  Scott asks.

Stiles pats his pockets, but Josie beats him and gives him a $20 bill.  He shrugs and sticks the bill in between the doors.

"I'm gonna see if I can find a soda machine."  Josie announces and walks around the building.  Stiles and Scott nods and goes to pour gas into the jug.  Josie managed to find a coke machine.  She tries putting change it in, but it kept giving it back to her.  Sighing in frustration, she feels the side of the machine and gives it a good punch.  With a loud clunk, a coke pops out.   She smirks in triumph and tries to do it again.  She walks around the building carrying three cans of coke, seeing Scott and Stiles done with the gas.  She hands them cokes.

"Thanks, Jo."  Stiles says and pops it open.

"Thanks, Jojo."  Scott smiles and pops his open.

"Welcome." They all sip and sigh in content.  The heat was getting bearable, with the sun going down, it was getting cooler.

Stiles sighs and finally speaks up about that night at the library, the night when Donovan was killed, "There was a pin."  Josie and Scott both frown as he speaks up. "There was one little metal pin attached to the scaffolding.  He was trying to pull me down."  Stiles swallows hard as he relieves the memory.

"He was trying to kill you."  Scott realizes what Stiles is talking about.

"You're talking about Donovan, aren't you?"  Josie asks.

Stiles taps his fingers nervously on the gas pump, "Yes, and then I pulled the pin.  And all these metal braces came down.  And one of them just, just went right through him."

"Why didn't you think you could tell me?" Scott asks.

Stiles sighs, "It was just the way you were looking at me that night.  You know, you're standing there with a wrench in your hand, you're looking at me like I just bashed you in the head with it.  You know, like I'd broken your sacred rule and that's it, there's no going back."  He says.

"I know the difference."  Scott says.

"What?"

"I know what self-defense is."

Stiles nods and sighs and feels Josie pat his shoulder in comfort, sending him a small smile.  Together, the three of them head back to the jeep to fill it up.  When they got to the jeep, Josie's cell goes off.  She grimaces when she sees it's her mom.

"Uh-oh."

"What?"  Scott asks.

Josie answers her phone, "Hey, mom."

"JOSIE ELSA THOMPSON!" Josie yanks her phone away from her ear as her mom screams into cell.  "I HAVE BEEN WORRIED SICK ABOUT YOU! THE SCHOOL CONTACTED ME THAT YOU SKIPPED TODAY!  YOU BETTER HAVE A DAMN GOOD EXCUSE TO MISS SCHOOL TODAY!"

Josie carefully puts the cell back on her ear, "I'm so sorry, mom.  I do have a good excuse.  Scott, Stiles and I are picking up Kira.  Something really big is going on and we need the pack back together."

"The pack?  That's why you missed school?  Cause of the pack?"  Sarah asks in disbelief.

"It's more than that.  Mom, the dread doctors woke something up.  A very big something and that something is extremely pissed off and killing people."  Josie explains.

Sarah sighs exasperatedly, "How big?"

"About the size of a hummer big.  Or maybe an 8 wheeler."  Josie quickly sends a copy of the security camera footage to her.  "Mom, I'm sending you a video.  This is what I'm talking about."  She waits till she hears her gasps of fright.

"What is it?"  Sarah asks.

"A resurrected chimera.  The doctors are up to something, we're gonna figure it out.  We'll be home soon, I promise."  Josie says.

Sarah sighs, "Ok, but you call me as soon as you are on your way home.  Where are you anyway?"

"Eh, New Mexico..."

"WHAT?!"  Sarah exclaims.

"I gotta go, love you, call you soon.  Bye." Josie says quickly and ends the call.  She blows out a breath and sighs, turning back to Scott and Stiles who were done filling the tank.  "Ready?" She asks.

They both nod and they all get into the jeep.  Scott turns and looks over to her, "Is your mom mad?"

Josie shrugs, "Not too mad.  She'll understand."

Scott gives her a reassuring smile and reaches out to pull her in for a soft kiss.  She kisses him back, sighing into his kiss.  The sparks danced over their lips as they touched.  She loves that feeling.  He breaks the kiss and pulls her into his lap, she yelps in surprise and laughs.  She carefully moves her legs so she wouldn't hit Stiles as he drives.  Scott moves her so she could be comfortable in his arms.  Her head rests against his chest as he wraps his arms around her.  Another hour passed and it was already dark.  Pretty soon, Scott and Josie fell asleep as Stiles kept driving.  he frowns as he looks out into the distance and sees a big rock mountain.  A storm cloud covered all around it, lightning flashes inside the clouds as thunder rumbles loudly.

"Hey, Scott.  Scott.  Jo." Stiles reaches and shakes them awake.  Josie yawns and rubs her eyes as Scott sits up.  "Take a look at this."  Stiles points at the mountain.

Scott and Josie's eyes widen at the sight, they never seen anything like it.

"What the hell do you think's happening to her out there?"  Stiles asks.

Neither of them could say anything, which boosted Stiles slam his foot on the gas to speed up.
