-Narrator: Stoick.

They were coming again, one more time. We were ready though, one more time. As long as the Black Fire doesen't appear, its fine. But in the end, I knew he was going to show sooner or later. While thinking that, I started hearing a sound in the distance, a sound I knew very much by the pass on these last weeks. It was him...

...one more time.

I grabbed my hammer, it belonged to my father, and to my grandfather before him; but im afraid I cant give it to my son, Hiccup. I have been thinking of it since the Black Fire appeared by the first time, and I've decided I am going to train Hiccup in the arena by myself.

If he doesen't get killed before, of course.

I stayed calm and ordered the Vikings to set up the catapults and prepare to battle. They obeyed with no doubt. But my biggest fear wasn't from the vikings, it was a little smaller and weaker.

I sent Gobber to solve that problem.

-Narrator: Gobber.

''NO!'' I screamed,'' And that is it! You will NOT got out of here. Stoick ordered me your protection. and I'm not dissapointing him now.'' He looked at me with that crazy/depressed stare he gaves me sometimes. Then he just sat on a chair next to me and started sharping swords. After that, I started doing the same along with him.

Minutes passed and the dragons started their attack. It looked fine at the start, the vikings were resisting the fury of those beasts, even the Night Fury had a bad time shooting anything that night. But, suddenly, I heard a loud roar in the distance, and I knew the village was in great danger once again. I had no other choice. I attached an axe to my stump and got out of the armory as shouting ''If you get out and survive this, I will personally trow you unto the arena to feed the dragons!'' I hoped that my menace scared him just enough to keep him inside the armory. But it was not real. And Hiccup also knew it.

-Narrator: Hiccup.

He was finally gone. We both knew he said all that bullshit just to scare me, and we both knew it was a lie.

As soon as he left. I woke up and rapidly took the Slingshot, witch was hiding under a big desk. I got out of the armory from the back door. When I went out, I gave a look at the situation: At my left was the main street with a lot of houses, some of them on fire. At my right was the port and the defences; the Night Fury was destroying them one by one with low and fast passes and accurate fire blasts. And just in front of me was a balcony. Perfect for shooting targets. I was just going to run to the balcony when I suddenly heard it one more time. It was close that was for sure.

And there it was. Well, it was just the shadow, but I knew it was him. I would recognize the shape anywhere. He was gliding on me. But I didn't predict what happened next: I saw a quick flash in the mouth of the beast, and then another, and another. I realized: he was blasting me. I almost didn't react fast enough as I crouched behind the Slingshot. Witch took the hits for me. Thankfully, I installed metal sheets around it for extra protection against fire.

I quickly got up and shot an sling at him while he was still decending. The dragon, however, quickly climbed up.

The sling passed right below him.

I loaded another one as soon as I could and started running towards the balcony. The Black Fire wasn't in sight, but the roar was still audible. I finally got there and fully deployed the machine. I scattered the sky trying to find him. I coulden't, however. But seconds later I saw a shadow cruising the sky. First here, then right there. It was fast, but it was not the Black Fire. The figure fired a blast to the catapult at the port and I knew it was the Night Fury. I aimed at him, keeping it in sight. I was going to trow a sling at it when he suddenly went up into the clouds.

Almost an instant later, another shadow descenced from the clouds, it was the Black fire, chased by the Night Fury. I got confused for a second, but I parked my thoughts and got concentrated. A quick choice was needed here. On one hand we got the Night Fury; a legendary dragon that has been torturing vikings since we know him. But on the other hand I had the Black Fire; our new and dangerous enemy, capable of destroying everything that gets in it's way.

I spent a couple of seconds deciding my target, but I finally made a choice.

I aimed...

Holded my breath...

And pulled the trigger.

The Slingshot fired.
