After sitting in the restaurant for nearly two hours, the four friends decided to go look around the city. Bailey and Chase led the way while Serene and Paradox followed from behind.
"This city is so beautiful. It's hard to believe that no one is truly happy here." Bailey smiled.
"Most people keep saying a giant forces the people to sacrifice a person each week so she won't attack the city." Chase continued.
Paradox looked at Serene who seemed to be falling behind. The three knew that they had upset the poor key, but it was for her own safety.
The four of them kept walking until they got to the edge of the town. There was a large crowd gathered around the harbor. They were all looking down at the water.
"What is going on over their?" Paradox asks.
"I am not sure," Chase and Bailey say at the same time.
The key stayed quiet as they all walked over to the large crowd. All of a sudden everyone went silent as a large giantess emerged from the water. She had red eyes with short black with a red streak going down the right side of her head. The giantess looked at the crowd before smirking.
"Who is going to be my sacrifice this week?" She asked.
The crowd shook in fear as they pushed a young girl towards the giant. Serene looked at the people in disgust. She was furious. The others were just as angry as she was. Sacrificing a child was wrong.
"H-Here she is, Mistress Akako," a man stuttered.
Akako looked at the child and smirked. "She will be delicious."
Akako reached for the child as the girl stood there crying. Before she could grab her a portal opened, shielding the child as Bailey and Chase ran over to her. Paradox evacuated the people quickly. Serene's mark burned through the makeup on her neck as she glared up at Akako. "So you are the one torturing these people! You will no longer need your sacrifices once we are done with you." The key shouted.
Akako growled angrily. "You four took away my  sacrifice! You all will pay! One of you will be my sacrifice." She smirked before looking at Bailey. "I want that hybrid."
Bailey shook in fear as Akako stared her down. Chase quickly grabbed Bailey and took off to a set of abandoned buildings. Paradox and Serene quickly followed.
"You can't escape! I will get you, little wolf!!" Akako yelled before following them.
This was going to be a long day.
