Ronnie Anne Santiago was walking down Great Lakes City with one of her friends, Sid. It seemed like an ordinary day before she got a text message from Lily. She trusted Lily with her phone number since she was the only family member who wouldn't bombard her about dating Lincoln. Sadly, her brother had given her number to Lori which meant ignoring texts about double dates.

"Hm, looks like Lily texted me." Ronnie Anne said.

"Well..what does it say?" Sid asked. Ronnie Anne started to read the message and felt her blood pressure slowly rise and by the end...she had a scowl on her face. The sight would've frightened Sid if she wasn't used to seeing it every time someone pissed her off badly.

"Oh boy, let me see." Sid said. Ronnie Anne handed her cellphone over and Sid started to read the message. By the end, Sid felt shock, anger and disgust towards the Louds who not only drove Ronnie Anne's friend to run away from the house, but stupidly decided to kick him out without a second thought.

"What did your brother see in Lincoln's older sister? Cause by reading this..." Sid started to say before Ronnie Anne cut her off.

"I don't know and I don't really care. We need to find Lincoln and visit Lily and Lucy." Ronnie Anne said.

"I get Lily, but why Lucy?" Sid asked.

"Lily said that Lucy pretended to be on the other's side to get information about what they planned to do to Lincoln. She couldn't outright help him so she tried to do in secret ways." Ronnie Anne said.

"Shouldn't we tell Bobby about all of this?" Sid asked.

"Oh please, he is so love blind  that he can hardly notice reality even if it happens right in front of his eyes. It's better that we tell my Mom about what happened since she isn't blind like he is." Ronnie Anne said with a disappointed expression on her face. Sid nodded and the two headed off to tell Maria the news. At the same time, Lily was in her room when Lucy walked in.

"Are you done pretending now?" Lily said.

"Yes. It was difficult not being able to help, but I figured having someone in the inside of the whole thing would help if things turned extremely bad." Lucy said.

"So what happens now?" Lily asked.

"We wait. The law will take care of everything, but we would need help to find our brother." Lucy said.

"I still don't understand why you made this plan up when you heard Lynn call Lincoln badluck. You always seemed to follow the other's lead so why..." Lily asked.

"Lincoln has always helped me with my poems and is the only one who actually spent some time with me. I figured it would be a good idea to gather some information about their plans so we can make escape routes." Lucy said.

"Escape routes?" Lily asked.

"Lily, this family is extremely dysfunctional and toxic. I mean why family bullies another for liking a book with unicorns or enjoying a comic book. Mom and Dad hardly ground any of us excluding Lincoln and think that not stepping into any issues is a good idea." Lucy said.

"I see what you mean. I just texted Ronnie Anne and told her about the situation." Lily said.

"I better start preparing the coffins. She isn't going to give them any mercy." Lucy said. After saying that, both sisters laughed starting their new lives with a smile. Speaking of Ronnie Anne, she just got finished explaining what happened to her mother.

"I never expected this from Lori....at first. After a while, I noticed how she had Roberto wrapped around her fingers. Not to mention the rapid increase in our phone bills." Maria said.

"I wish that we could tell Bobby, but after seeing everything that happened...it's impossible." Ronnie Anne said with her eyes locked on the floor.

"We could try, but your brother is blind. Which makes me question something." Maria said.

"What question would that be?" Sid said.

"Did Bobby know about this?" Maria asked.

"What?" Ronnie Anne asked.

"Think about it. Lori tells him about everything which means that she could've talked to Bobby about what they were doing. I don't wish to doubt my son, but...." Maria said.

"He wouldn't...he couldn't...he..." Ronnie Anne said before becoming silent. Her brother would do anything if his girlfriend asked him to. So if she asked him to help cover up their actions...then he could be charged as an accessory to their crime.

"I don't want to believe it too, but we don't know the lengths he would go for Lori." Maria said.

"So what do we do?" Sid said.

"We have to ask him about it and get the truth out of him. If he wasn't involved then everything should be fine." Ronnie Anne said.

"And if he isn't?" Sid asked. Ronnie Anne stared at Sid before signing and said:

Then he has to pay for the consequences of his actions.

Hope you enjoyed the chapter...Bye 👋
