Author's notes: I may put out at least the first twenty pages before slowing down and posting maybe once every three days, allowing me to write the next couple chapters at my leisure, yet I'm not completely sure if I should publish the first twenty or fourty pages, I leave this to you.

The temple doors opened to reveal a tired Pearl, hair slightly disheveled who gave a large yawn as she stepped out into the living room, only to stop suddenly glancing at the trashed room in disbelief, the mess seemed to be an amalgamation of Steven's messes and Amethyst's late night snacks, empty cheese packets, chips strewn about the floor, and a couple soda cans lying on their side, a large sticky puddle laid across the table where the can had fallen over, with a large sigh she began the arduous task of cleaning the house, when Pearl finally got to cleaning the windows, only then did she notice the cloaked figure standing in front of the house, the fear that spread across her face, quickly replaced that gentle and content smile gracing her face, while this situation bounced around in her head, suddenly an equally tired Garnet emerged from the temple, walking by Pearl she greeted her with her usual morning greeting “Good morning.” Garnet said in her normal monotone voice, when Pearl didn't respond, Garnet was pulled from her daily routine to a distraught Pearl “Come here.” Pearl said in a hushed tone, Pearl stood unmoving and unwavering, staring down at this mysterious man, her eyes moved up and down his form watching for any sudden movements, Garnet following Pearl's gaze was just as surprised to see the cloaked man, a sudden wind blew revealing the man to be armed, a sword hung loosely from his hip, she stood with Pearl for a few moments before leaving “I'm going to get Amethyst!” Garnet announced in her monotone voice this left Pearl in disbelief with a few precious seconds separating her from being totally alone she expressed her outrage “What?! Don't leave me alone!” in a desperate hushed wail “Pearl, protect the house till I get back!” Garnet said dismissing Pearl's fears before disappearing back into the temple “Garnet!” Pearl yelled in mixture of fear and anxiety only to realize Garnet had already left “Okay! Okay... Okay, stay calm Pearl, don't take your eyes off of him. Pearl said locking her eyes back on the cloaked figure only to realize, he advanced a few feet “Ahhh!” Pearl screamed realizing this, pulling her spear from her gem, hugging it close to her chest in fear.
