I tried to ignore the thoughts of something terrible being at the entrance. I tried to imagine a sick Reefback that wondered too far from home, and the murky water messed with him. But then I remembered:

"Wasn't there a large red and white tail? That certainly isn't a Reefback..."

Then:

"What could it be?"

It actually did not just sound like bubbles due to my Seamoth. I edged closer to the entrance, trying to be careful.

Then I saw it.

The monstrosity in front of me... It couldn't have been a Reefback.

It had four toothlike fangs protruding out the side of its mouth, two on each side. Four completely black eyes was a deadly compliment to them. Four rows of teeth, two on the top and bottom, each one as sharp as a needle. Its body looked muscular in a way, with strange front legs and no back legs. But one thing I noticed immediately...

It was the same tail.

I don't know how long I sat there. I was backed up against the Aurora, making sure it did not come close. I then gathered myself and made a dash for the Aurora.

It came after me.
