Airini cursed herself for the umpteenth time today.
It had been a week since the females had arrived, a week since she had been in the Alphas arms.
It had been nice, comforting, yet unnerving. Her wolf had stirred at the small gesture and she could not understand why. Her wolf refused to tell her, only saying it was nothing.
'Fine' Her wolf finally conceded 'I am jealous.' Airini frowned. 'All our life we have helped so many mates, whether they be fated or chosen. Is it so wrong of me to want that too?'
Airini considered her words, at twenty two she could understand. "No. It is not wrong of you, and now i understand. When the Alpha held us you yearned for a mate to hold us like that. To be held with love." Understanding her wolf was important to her.
"Hope, it gave me hope that one day i will have what they have.' Airini nodded and decided maybe it was time to find someone.
" Goddess please, allow me to find someone." She prayed. It was the first time she had asked the goddess anything for herself.

Airini made her way to the park, she had agreed to help with the children today.
The park had the usual playground equipment and two pools, both gated. One was small and shallow for the younger children and the other deeper and bigger for those able to swim.
As she approached she spotted Leoni sat in the water of the shallow pool with a child of only a few months old. She could hear Leoni laugh as the child bounced and kicked his legs in the water as Leoni held him upright.
Leoni was wearing a grey one piece swimsuit, her sandy blonde hair tied in a bun on top of her head.
"Good morning Leoni." She greeted as she stripped down to her own swim wear. Blue shorts and top set.
"Good morning Peacekeeper." Leoni greeted back, making Airini chuckle "Please call me Airini, i have asked you to before."  She teasingly chided. Leoni blushed "I am only paying my respect by your title Peacekeeper."  She explained. Her eyes never leaving the naked child in front of her. Airini sighed and put her hand on Leoni's shoulder, causing the younger woman to look at her. "I see us becoming friends Leoni. And i am never wrong when it comes to it. What kind of friendship is it if you use my title?"  Leoni frowned at this, she had never had a friend before. The other at her pack thought her to weak or fragile to play. That or they wanted nothing to do with the Alphas daughter who would rather read than play.
"I don't understand" She admitted. Airini smiled.
"My wolf and i help those who need it. I have been there when a rouge was to be a Luna, but her life forced her to loose faith in herself. She needed my guidance before they met. I was there when certain people had to meet for different reasons. I am here to help the Alpha have an heir." Airini told her."Sometimes two paths cross and i need to help both. For example, you know why i am here. But has it occurred to you why you are here?"
This confused Leoni, she knew why she was there. "To present to the Alpha as a candidate of Luna."  Airini shook her head. "That is the circumstances that brought you here. The reason you are here is so that i can help you. I know you already feel at peace here, more comfortable than in your own pack. I believe you will be staying, though i do not know why yet. But something keeps you here."  Airini smiled slightly as the woman in question blushed lightly. She had only been here a week and had volunteered at the orphanage. There she had met a male who lost his mate, he had told her she died the day they met. A female running from rouges, her wounds were so bad she died in his arms.
They talked everyday as he was the orphanage handy man, taller than her with light brown hair cut short and Hazel eyes.
Leoni felt her wolf stir every time she saw him. A smale smile graced her face. "Ahh" Aironi brought her out of her thoughts. "Now i see. Well i hope it works out for you."  Then leaning in closer "But let me tell you a secret. If the wolf of one mateless stirs than so does the other. Who ever it is i can promise their wolf stirs at you as well."
"You mean our wolves have chosen each other already?"
"Of course, it may feel too soon for you, but how long has he been waiting?"
Leoni felt lighter, she liked this pack. She felt more at home here than the last nineteen years at her fathers. At that she frowned. "Father would never accept it. He wants me mated to the Alpha."  "For the alliance yes i know" Airini spoke "But as an Alphas daughter, just being in this pack is a treaty. Your father cannot attack us as you would be here and they will not attack your father for the same reason. It is up to the Alphas if they wish to add anything else to that treaty."
Before either woman could say any more, the man in question came towards them. "Good morning Leoni, Peacekeeper."  He greeted, both woman greeted him back.
"Peacekeeper, may i have a word with Leoni?"  He asked respectfully. Airini smiled before taking the child from the woman's arms. "Of course Samuel"  She watched as he extended his hand for Leoni to take and smiled as he led her towards the playground.
Her smile dropped slightly as her wolf stirred before hearing his voice. "So what was that all about?"  She watched as the Alpha sat next to her.
Goddess, he wore black swimming briefs, showing off his muscular legs and washboard abs. Hair lightly scattered his body.
Quickly gathering herself she replied "It seems Leoni will be staying when this is over." Zane frowned and looked back at the couple. "I see, they would be perfect for each other. Samuel is a dominate male, but not overbearingingly so. I think her gentle nature would be good for him."  Airini nodded "Though not quite what Alpha Liam wants, but a treaty should hopefully help."  Zane nodded, it was common for treaties to be formed if an Alphas daughter moved to another pack.
That is when Airini noticed the child in her arms had fallen asleep. "I think it is time this one got out." She said standing up, Zane stood up with her.
Before she could leave Zane grabbed her arm. "Same time tonight?"  Airini nodded and left causing the slightest whine from his wolf. Zane frowned at this before ignoring it and turning his attention to his pack.
