I feel like every time I post a chapter I apologize for the lateness of the update. So I'm just not gonna say anything... But just so you know, I'm sorry that this update took so long. ;-;

Valentine's Day is many things for different people. Some view it as the day to spend with their partner or spouse and appreciate each other. But others see it as the day that reminds them of yet another year of being utterly and unequivocally alone.

Sabrina was definitely the latter. She hated Valentine's Day with a passion. Her family knew this (she made her dislike for this holiday very clear) but her friends didn't. Just because Sabrina didn't like the day of love didn't mean she wanted to ruin it for her friends. So she kept it a secret and hid it so well that not even the fairy boy who lived with her for years knew of her dislike for the holiday.

Sabrina was fifteen when she spent her first official Valentine's Day with the 'Grimm Gang' and there wasn't a fairytale war or disaster going on. Puck and Jake were arriving from their year long trip in Russia and the day they arrived was coincidentally on the dreaded holiday.

Daphne was her usual cheery self on Valentines Day with her pigtails kept together with red bows and dressed head to toe in pink. Red was of course in red but had sparkly heart stickers all over her cloak. Granny Relda wore a red sweater with the words "Be Mine" on the front. The saddest of the group, who was diligently waiting in the parking lot, was the family dog, Elvis. Somehow Daphne had managed to force a sweater that matched Granny's on the large pooch whose head was drooped in shame as he sat beside Sabrina.

Sabrina patted the dog on his head and he quickly lifted his beady brown eyes to her before they dropped back to the pavement in one fluid movement. She looked at her watch. Jake and Puck were twenty minutes late.

Mr. Canis was in the driver's seat in the car looking at his own watch, staring at it as though he thought it would time go faster.

If that were the case, Sabrina thought, she would've been staring at hers a long time ago.

"I think I see them!"

Daphne's voice made Sabrina's head snap up and look to where she was pointing. Coming in fast was a silhouette of two men flying in fast. To Sabrina, it seemed almost funny watching them come closer and then land clumsily on their feet.

One of them had spiky blond hair, a crooked nose, and wore a large trench coat with many pockets that contained magical objects. The other was slightly shorter with curly dirty blond hair, pink bug-like wings, and wore his usual green sweatshirt that Jake charmed (as a Christmas present) to fit him at any size as he continued to grow.

"Mom!" Jake cried and wrapped his arms around Granny so fast that she let out a small yelp.

Daphne was the first to wrap her arms around Puck's waist in a hug and then was joined by Red and then Elvis who jumped up and began to lick at his face. Sabrina was the last one to not get embraced and hugged her uncle the tightest she could without hurting him.

"It's good to see you too 'Brina," Jake said, stood back, and took a moment to look at her and her sister. "I swear you kids are like weeds: every time I see you you're bigger."

"Henry was so sorry he and Veronica couldn't make it," Granny piped up. "Apparently something happened back in Faerie so they won't arrive until later this evening."

"I know the feeling," Jake said.

"Don't we all." Sabrina held back her surprised reaction when she heard Puck speak for the first time. His voice didn't crack once and it was much deeper than the last time she heard it on the phone. She also notice that he was a lot taller too and more built. It made her slightly flustered knowing that even apart for almost a year, Puck was still maturing... because of her.

"The car is charmed to fit everyone inside," Daphne told Jake while doing a small tap dance. "I did it myself!"

"Yeah, because that worked out so well last time," Sabrina muttered sarcastically under her breath. Puck snorted at the memory and Sabrina mentally cursed his fairy hearing.

"Awesome job, Munchkin," Jake said and rubbed her head, messing up her hair.

Daphne giggled childishly and patted down the loose strands on the top of her head.

Everyone filed into the car. Canis and Granny sat in the front, Jake and Red sat in the second row, and Puck, Daphne, and Sabrina sat in the third row with Elvis lying on their feet.

Sabrina was stuck between Puck and Daphne and grumbled so quietly that not even Puck could understand her.

Sabrina began to imagine her friends back in New York asking her what she did for Valentine's Day. 'So what did you do for your Valentine's Day, Sabrina?' Paige's voice echoed in her head.

'Oh, I just welcomed home my uncle and a stupid fairy from their travels from Russia because they're trying to find magical items scattered throughout the world... Because that's normal.'

The roll of her eyes went unnoticed and she sighed. Could this Valentine's Day get any worse?

I wrote this about one and a half months ago and completely forgot about it. Oops. I hope you can forgive the lateness of this part especially since Valentines Day has long over passed. Comment if you want a part 2. I don't know if I like this one or not and I was pretty hesitant to post it. But I hope you guys enjoyed it... :)
