We had stopped on Death Song Island where Hiccup is now pacing in front of me while Toothless and Garff are hitting it off nicely and playing somewhere behind us, "You raised a Death Song!??! Are you crazy!?"

"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not but we hatched him from an egg and raised him! What is so bad about that? You live in a Dragon's Nest for crying out loud! How is this any different?"

"How is this different?" he looked at me incredulously, "How is this Different!? Oh, I don't know maybe because this is one of many dangerous dragons that eats other dragons n-now who does that make you think of?" and low and behold Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III has started to ramble, "Because for me, I think of the Red Death and the suffering and terror it brought to the dragons it supposedly ruled over and took care of-" with a bruising cheek Hiccup stumbled backwards from my rage, "Astrid..?" he was shocked, frozen almost as he grazed his fingers over the cheek I punched.

"Don't you dare compare Garff to that monster he is nothing like the Red Death!! Him and Stormfly are the best of friends!!" I hissed, "Unlike you he's been there when we needed help and we were there when he needed us! You on the other hand only showed up because we need all the allies we can get to defeat Drago. I can't believe you! You out of everyone, you who wouldn't judge someone by first glance, I bet if you had the chance you would try to persuade Drago into ending this war. You ride a Night Fury! and you have the gall to judge Garff all because he's a Death Song? I-" I was in disbelief, shaking my head as I walked away from the boy I used to know, "I can't believe you.." It came out almost inaudible as I climbed onto Garff and flew away tears streaking my face for a second time today.

Narrators POV

~Elsewhere~On Caldera Cay~

"Do you think she's alright?" Heather worried as she looked towards the horizon where she could just barely see Stormfly crying in the distance as she left to find her rider who was no longer on the island.

"I'm sure she's fine, dear." Valka comforted the girl, "She knows how to take care of herself, always has."

"I know its just.. She's under so much stress right now and I know that she didn't want those Berkians to find out, not like this.." Her gaze fell to the ground with a heavy sigh before lifting back up at the touch of a hand on her shoulder.

"We know but this was bound to happen at some point and we cannot change what the Gods have planned for our futures," Atali had joined the duo, as leader of the wingmaidens she understood the worry the younger girl held. "Now then, I do believe we have a few guests to take care of." She smiled as the three turned toward the ruckus behind them most of it caused by the twins, and Dagur. Throk, Minden, Viggo and Fishlegs were to the side chatting and feeding the dragons a special fruit that kept them calm, sadly however they could not get Stormfly to eat it before she rushed off into the distance. Dagur, however was with the Berkians telling them his stories, Eret leaned against his blue changewing watching the vikings closely. Mala was nowhere to be seen having been taken off by some of her fellow defenders to discuss things pertaining her wedding to Dagur the Deranged.

"Ugh okay we get it you go out on a lot of adventures who cares!" Snotlout groaned from his place between the twins, Ruffnut and Tuffnut, and Gobber the Belch. "Who are you guys anyway? I know Dagur, that chick's Heather, if Astrid's still alive then who's to say chubby over there isn't Fishlegs!"

"That is none of your business." Heather hissed at the boy her mood switching between worry for her best friend and anger at the boy who caused her best friends disappearance. She could not get mad at the disabled blacksmith who already knew it was in fact Fishlegs, especially not after seeing the bond between the viking known as Gobber and the hotburple named Grump.

"Heather it's alright." this time it was Valka's hand that graced her shoulder, "Our numbers are small, the four of you have come to know what it is to ride on the backs of dragons, you'll learn who we are in time but right now we need to know if you are willing to help us in our battle against Drago Bludvist, not only for the sake of our dragons but also for all of viking kind."

"Uh who?" Snotlout and the twins were confused as to the name. But Gobber wasn't, he knew the name all to well.

"You're sure it's Drago Bludvist?" his gaze turned to the woman whose mask covered her familiar face from view.

"We're certain, not only do we have confirmation from our scouts but I have seen his troops for myself. Our human numbers are severely out ranked when compared to Drago's army and could use Berks help, that is if you are willing."

"Wait, hold on a second, you're asking us to go to war against some bad guy we don't even know about, to supposedly save dragons and vikings? Are you insane!?" the Jorgenson boy exclaimed incredulously, "No, no, count me out, there is no way I'm gonna risk my life for people I don't even know-" before the young adult could finish, Gobber's gaze hardened.

"We'll help ya. But if ya want Berk you'll have to get through Stoick the Vast first."
