Recap-
"I am sorry for not getting to know or spend time with you." I apologized.
"I'll see you later, Fili."
"Thank you, aunt."
"Anytime." I spoke with a smile.

With those words, I headed for my own chambers, my head and heart lighter.

The days started to turn colder, and some Dwarven caravans arrived before the first snowfall. Among them, was the Lady Dis. A lady not to mess with so I've been told.

I followed Thorin, Fili, Kili, and the rest of the company along with their One's to the gate.
Nearly right away, I spotted what had to be Lady Dis, for she looked eerily like a younger, female Thorin.
The three of them pushed their way through the crowed. Though they made way for Thorin.
Why wasn't Thrain here? Well, we wanted to keep that a surprise.
Theia, Legolas, and Tauriel were by my side.

I spotted Dis hugging her elder brother and sons eagerly. She then glanced at us as Thorin whispered in her ear.
I took Theia's hand, knowing she was just as nervous as I was.
Looking to my right, I smiled at Tauriel, reassuring her, holding her hand as well.
Legolas put his arm around Theia's waist, a sign of encouragement.
Not all of us were Dwarven. Only my daughter was. But, it was against their law to kick us out.

Thorin looked at us also, along with his nephews. Dis led the way towards us.
'Everything will be alright.' I told myself.
I smiled gently at the Dwarowdam *female dwarf* as she approached us.
Letting go of my daughter's hand along with Tauriel's I bowed my head and curtsied.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Lady Dis." I spoke, rising.
"Nonsense, the pleasure is mine. For Aulë has graced my family with One's I see." She smiled.
"Indeed he has, sister. Come, this way. Dwalin and Balin can handle everything." Thorin spoke, leading the way to our chambers.

Once in the sitting room, Dis took off her coat, and laid her weapon aside.
We all sat, "So tell me, how did your journey go? And how did you meet your Ones?" She asked.
All of us took turns explaining how we found each other's half.
She scolded Thorin on leaving me behind, which I came to his defense.
"It was the right thing to do, Lady Dis. For a pregnant woman does not belong in battle."
She nodded. "I suppose you are right."
"I pray my other son, Fili will find his One some day." She smiled at him.
"Have faith, and everything will work out as it should." I spoke.
Thorin smiled. "One of my wife's many sayings."

Lady Dis didn't judge in any way like I might had expected. She was more curious if anything.
Thorin looked at Fili, "Fili, I believe now would be the perfect time."
"Yes uncle." Fili stood and exited the room behind his Amad *mother*. Soon returning with Thrain.
When Thrain touched her arm, she turned her head and stood, eyes filling with tears.
She hugged her Adad *father* right away.
"H-how?" She asked, looking between Thorin, Fili and Thrain.
"The will of a wizard." Thorin spoke, smiling.
"I must re-pay him." She spoke through tears.
"Believe me, daughter this wizard wants no payment except kindness." Thrain spoke, kindly.
"Is he here?" She asked.
"Aye, he is. Though not for long."
"He helped us during the battle." Theia spoke.
"Along with saving our lives. Multiple times." Thorin added.
Dis nodded. "I shall speak with him before he leaves."

Thrain joined our conversations and added in his own "adventures" if one could call them that.
Dis looked horrified, we had heard them before but they were still disturbing to say the least.

As for Dis, she was left to rule Ered Luin upon Thorin's leave.
Her and her sons fought about them joining the company, but Thorin convinced her he would look after them. That they would be in good hands.
Thank the Valar they did join, too. For where would everyone stand?

Dis was a little mind-blown, shocked that Thorin had a wife, and a daughter. Both Elementals. If not one part Dwarven and Elven.

"Well, I look forward to getting to know all of you, however I must retire to my chambers for it has been a long journey to say the least. Brother, will you be so kind to guide the way?

"Aye, follow me Dis."

With that, the evening was coming to a close. Everyone forbid each other goodnight one by one.

Hey guys, so I actually had to pause writing... Because my puppy (Miriel) - Yes, a Tolkien name!
She kept putting her head on my hand, arm, or keyboard 😂.
I'd pause to give her lovies but she was like 'nope, you're paying attention to me. Not the keyboard.'
So I blame my health and well, my cute puppy 😆. Though how can yah blame a pup for wanting attention?

- Hope you enjoyed this chapter!
Dis is hard to write!
