The morning sunlight shone through the classroom's window as it was early in the morning, the class haven't started nor Koro-sensei has arrived.

In the second to the front row sat a blue haired boy tied in twin tails as he heard what the girls were talking about.

A conversation about who you like? That's something I don't want to hear

His blue eyes perked up to the girls' conversation as he listened to it in secret.

"It's nothing." Nagisa replied.

The class were now having there P.E. lessons, Nagisa glanced to the girl as she was with his none other than his best friend, Akabane Karma.

The girl flashed his friend her usual innocent huge grin, oh how he wished it was for him.

"Nagisa, you coming?" Kayano called.

"Y-Yes." he stuttered.

His fingers traveled through his hair as warmth crept to his cheeks, he's no doubt has feelings for someone in the class.

He sometimes wished he was Karma, he can face his fears with a strong wit, he admired his friend's handsome features and intelligence. He's all the girls ever wanted—except for his bad boy like attitude.

A drop of blood came out of his nose as he covered his face with his arm, frustrated.

A tear fell out of his eye then, he closed his eyes as darkness is all he could see.

"Sorry, Nagisa! You okay?" Sugino rushed up to him.

"Oh, no. His bleeding!" Kayano gasped, surprised.

"You're right, should we take him to the clinic?" Sugino asked her.

"Yeah, we should." she said while nodding.

Sugino lifted Nagisa up as Kayano accompanied them to the clinic, this made the girl that he likes stole a glance.

"Hey Karma, is he alright?" Angel asked, seeing the whole thing.

"Maybe, I saw him got hit by a baseball." Karma replied.

"Eh~ that's gotta hurt." she coed.

"You bet." he smirked.

The Next Day

Nagisa ran up to greet her with a welcoming smile on his face.

"Ohayou ! Neguse tsuiteru yo" Hajimete ieta🎶
"Good morning! You got some bed-head you know" It was the first thing I was able to say

She positioned her index finger near her lips and gave him a adorable smile, that could make anyone's day bright.

🎶Kimi wa hazukashi sou ni "naisho"🎶
Looking all embarrased you said "It's a secret"

Automatically, he covered his mouth as a faint gasp escaped his throat. His cheeks turned bright red about her small gestures, he found it pathetically adorable.

Gah, saying like that is unfair

An imaginary cloud appeared above his head as he was like floating.

🎶Mainichi ga sukoshi chuu ni uki🎶
My everday seemed to be floating in air

Then, two pandas appeared in his imagination and begun to spun around. It seemed today will actually be a good day.

He smiled inwardly, oh how he was head-over-kneels over to this girl in front of him, yet the girl doesn't have a clue why he was acting like that.

"You seem happy, what's up?" Sugino asked him.

"Oh, nothing much." Nagisa cheered.

"Hmm~ doesn't seem that way to me though." he says.

If Angel did fell in love with Karma...he wished that he has someone else, that he liked.

Imagining her crying face is something that is so unbearable.

He sat in the classroom as lunchtime was on going, he rested his chin on the table, completely sulking.

A distressed sigh escaped his lips as his mind was full of her. All he could think is about her.

It just won't let me be at ease

His eyes began to glimmer as he desired for her appearance.

Wanting to talk to you, going to look for you

Someone walked up to him, with a small smile on his face.

"If your that depress, why don't you just tell her?" Sugino said.

"N-N-No way! There's no way I could tell her." Nagisa stuttered.

"Why not?" the black haired guy asked.

"Well, she might have a guy that she likes." He reasoned out.

"So what? There's no law saying that you can't chase someone who likes someone else." he was taken back by what he just said, it made him surprise.

"Tell her what you feel, she won't wait forever." Sugino huffed.

"Sugino..." Nagisa says.

"If she wouldn't reciprocate with your feelings, at least you convey to her what you feel...isn't that worth it?" he grinned at him.

"...Yeah, your right." Nagisa smiled.

He hurriedly ran out of the classroom, which made Kayano caught her attention.

"Why is he in a hurry?" Kayano asked.

"He's going to tell Angel what he feels." Sugino answered.

"You mean his going to confess?" she asked again.

"Yeah." he replied.

"I have something I want to tell you! Today after school, at 4:10 pm in this classroom right here"

He looked down as his cheeks were burning for his sudden demand for her.

The sound of my heart won't stop ringing in my ears, trying to bear with it for a bit like this

She was slightly confused, but asked no more. In a quick reply she accepted his request by just nodding.

"Angel, come here for a bit!" Nakamura called.

"Why do I have to, Rio?" Angel asked.

"Just come here, quick!" the blonde persisted.

"Okay—see you later, Nagisa." Angel said and sprinted away.

He gripped on his shirt as he could feel his heart palpitating, the sound of his beating heart continue to ring in his ears like an annoying alarm clock, his cheeks we're bright red.

A good luck charm said 5 minutes before the big moment, time to go...

He slide the door open as she stood there, in the empty room, alone.

"Am I not good enough?"

The sun was starting to set as the skies turned orange hue, he took a deep breath before blurting a embarrassing statement that is completely out of his character.

"Am I not good enough?" Nagisa asked.

"I think...so?" Angel replied.

"Huh?" he said.

"What?" she said.

Doesn't she get what I mean? Guess I need to say it clearer. Nagisa thought

"What I mean is—I like you!" he blushed furiously.

"Eh?" she gasped.

"I like you so much that I couldn't help myself but smile whenever your near...I just really like you, that's it." he confessed.

"Nagisa...." she was speechless

They fell in deep silence, as Nagisa lowered his head, on the other hand. Angel was speechless, she didn't know what words to say.

"Thank you, it's my first time that someone said those words to me—I'm really happy." she says.

"Angel..." he said.

"Oh, I know! Want to come with me to a new opened cake shop? There's one nearby." Angel cheered.

"Sure, I'll come." Nagisa smiled.

He still didn't knew if she reject or accept his feelings, but at least she didn't showed him a cold shoulder, that's one thing he was grateful.

Guess I'll wait a little longer...

They went to the cake shop nearby as the order was placed in they're table.

"Uwaah~ this strawberry cake is cute! It will be a waste if I eat it, right, Nagisa?" she said.

"But, I think your more cuter than the cake though." he said.

He absentmindedly stated, once he realized this, he blushed.

Wha-What did I just said?! I was distracted by the cake that I didn't realized what I was talking about... he thought.

"You think so? But the cake is way more cute than me!" she says.

"E-Eh...ugh, yeah!" he stuttered.

"What should I eat first? Hmm...I should leave the strawberry for the last, but—the cream looks so good, too..." she squealed.

Whoa. Isn't there a limit in how dense a person can be? he thought.

She cut a piece and ate it happily, she was happy with eating a cake, how simple she was...it made him smile.

"Nagisa, you had something on your cheek." she said.

"Wha-What? Where?!" he asked.

"Here." She leaned near him as she wiped the cream with her thumb as she licked it.

"There, it's gone." she said.

"O-Oh...thank you." he said.

I let my guard down— your really sneaky! In an innocent way...

She continue to chew the food with pleasure, a smile formed her lips as heaven slipped in her tounge.

"Hey Angel, did you understand what I said earlier?" he asked.

"What about it?" she said.

"I'm serious—I really do like you!" he boldly clarified.

"You don't have to tell me, I know...but, I don't know what to feel about you." she said.

"..." he was silenced.

"Can you give me some time to think about it?" she asked.

"...The reason you can't to say it immediately because of Karma-kun, isn't it?" he says.

"What? I don't know—" she was cut off.

"You like him, don't you?" he said.

"T-That's...I never thought about it, it's such a drag." she said.

What if in the end she realized that she liked Karma?  What am I going to do? Root for them from the back...? I-I don't want that!  he thought.

"...I like you, don't forget it." he said.

"I'm sorry..." she said.

Was all she could say, she didn't want Nagisa to raise his hopes for her, she just didn't want to hurt him.

"I-I'm going ahead, you coming, Angel?" he asked.

"No thanks, I'll stay behind." she answered.

"Oh, if you excuse me. I'll be on the way." he said.

"See you tomorrow, Nagisa." she said.

"Yeah, you too." he said.

He exited out of the shop, as she sat there, alone.

"Why me? There are lots of girls out there...ugh, what a drag!" she stood up and left the payment, she exited the cake shop and went straight home.

What does he mean that I can't give him an immediate answer because of Karma? she thought.

"He's hard to understand..." she sighed, heavily.

Wind fluttered as it passed by her skin and clothes, she saw a familiar face, standing, clearly waiting for someone.

"You took your sweet time." a voice said, rather casually.

"W-What are you doing here?" she asked, blushing.

"Waiting for you." he answered.

"Why?" she asked again.

"No particular reason." he said.

"You look like a creepy stalker, waiting." she nonchalantly commented.

"Then, how'd your date with Nagisa-kun went?" he changed the topic.

She was taken back to his question, how'd he know that she was with Nagisa all the time? Was he watching everything?

"I have no intention for letting a stalker know my whereabouts." she huffed.

"Ouch, your words cut deeper than a knife." he joked.

"It's nothing special...really." she says, shrugging it off.

"Then why won't you tell me?" he asked.

"Oh shut it, Karma." she snapped.

They went home together, still she didn't know why'd Karma wait for her—but that thing wasn't important now.

Nagisa's confession can wait, I guess...? she thought.

Nagisa lined up for the ticket to the train, he noticed a red scarf as he glanced—it was her!

He was about to call her name, when something urge him to stop, it was none other than the person who walked up to her. It was Karma.

He saw how happy she was with him, and how happy he was with her. It made him sad.

It hurts when your crush is happy with your best friend. he thought.
