Sunlight was streaming through the window when Gidget woke up the next morning. She and Max had slept like the dead all night. It was astonishing that they hadn't heard the harsh winds earlier. Yawning sleepily, the Pomeranian was surprised that her alarm hadn't gone off yet. Rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, she looked at her digital clock.

12:00 PM.

"MAX!!!" Gidget screeched, jumping out of bed. Jolting awake next to her, Max looked around frantically before suddenly falling down. Now sprawled out on the floor, he peered over the edge of the bed. Looking down at her husband, Gidget shouted, "WE OVERSLEPT!!!"

And with those words the whole house exploded with one hysterical family rushing around.

"Hiya mister!" Pickles yipped as he and Princess approached the Russell family home. They were planning on seeing their friend Tiny one last time before they left. There were two airport shuttles parked out front though. Men in uniforms walked up and down the front steps, carrying suitcases and bags. Not seeing their best friend anywhere yet, the two decided to strike up a conversation with the workers.

"Where's my toothbrush Mom?!" Mel cried, running around back and forth. Tossing some shirts into a plastic bag, Leonard shouted, "Yo Dad! Think my tarantula will be fine here?!"

"What's that do?" Pickles asked, pointing at the gear shift. Before the shuttle driver could answer, the bulldog puppy asked the same question about some buttons. In the meantime, Princess was outside trying to impress the other workers with how smart she was and showing off her fancy dance moves.

"Buddy! I want you to do a headcount when you get outside!" Gidget shouted from the top of the stairs. Running down with his twin brother Mel hot on his heels, Buddy shouted back, "Okay!"

"Kids, can you please move?! We're trying to work here!" one of the workers shouted angrily at Princess and Pickles. Princess backed away from the worker. Pickles, on the other hand, started looking through one of the bags he had placed in one of the shuttles. At the same time, the Russell family kids exited the homestead. Marching with his chin held high, Buddy turned to his family and stated loud and clear, "Alright boys, line up!"

"Who died and put you in charge?" Leonard demanded. Glaring at his older cousin, Buddy ignored his question and began counting, "One, two, three, four..." As he was talking, he placed a hand on everyone's head. At four, the dachshund placed his hand on Pickles' head after mistakenly thinking he was Tiny. Counting himself, he declared, "And five. Everyone is here."

"Good! Leonard, Norman! You're with your mother and I!" Snowball exclaimed, overhearing the end of the headcount. Princess quickly grabbed Pickles and pulled him away from the airport shuttles before he could get swept away. Not seeing Tiny anywhere, they shrugged their shoulders in unison and walked away. Sighing, Princess murmured, "We'll try calling him later."

"Ma'am, hi! I got the power working again!" a bulldog called down from where he was working on the power lines. Gidget looked up at him as he continued, "But the phone lines are a mess! Gonna take days to fix those!" Giving him a thumbs up, the Pomeranian climbed into the shuttle. Once the door was closed, both airport shuttles took off down the street. Sitting next to Gidget, Max glanced down at his watch and muttered, "I hope we get to the airport in time."

"I hope we're not forgetting anything," Gidget replied.
