I wake suddenly, every thought in high definition. My eyes take in every ray of light and without a doubt I know I've slept too long.

A heavy lump sits on top of me and it takes a while for my eyes to adjust to the light, eventually I can see clearly and throw my head back with a groan as I see Callie jumping up and down on top of me.

"Callie stop," I moaned and dragged out the 'p'. She giggled and carried on bouncing up and down like I'm a god damn trampoline.

"Karma's a bitch," Jesse appeared and smirked down at me. I glare at him and throw up two fingers behind Callie making sure he could see it clearly, but she couldn't.

"Get your lazy ass up or you're gonna be late to school," Jesse lifted Callie off me and sat at the end of my bed. He lifted the sheets exposing me to the cold and started tickling my feet, I gasp and start kicking him.

Jesse smirked smugly as he watched me struggle to breath between gasps of laughter. "Don't make me repeat myself," he warned and without hesitation I bolt up out of bed.

"You're an evil human bean," I clutched my belly trying to catch my breath. Jesse gets up still carrying Callie in the fireman hold, she's already dressed in her little school dress and blouse. Jesse is already dressed too, wearing his unironed yellow 'lifeguard' t-shirt and bright red shorts.

"Thank you I try," was his dry reply. "I'm taking you three to school so don't be long otherwise you'll make me late again," he warned and with that he left with Callie, leaving me to get ready.

A frustrated moan escaped my lips at the thought of going back to school for another week. I slide open the wardrobe door and grab my uniform, it was disgusting. Since I wasn't in sixth form yet I had to wear a gross burgundy v-neck sweatshirt, a blouse and tie, and of course a black skirt with tights.

I pulled a face as I slide my pyjama shorts off and grab a clean pair of knickers before snatching the horrendous skirt.

After getting fully dressed, I walk up to my table and start applying some makeup. Not too much but enough for people to tell I was wearing it. I look at myself in the mirror as I apply the finishing touches of chapstick before brushing my hair and heading downstairs for some breakfast.

As I make my way downstairs I peered into the boys' room to make sure Alec was awake and dressed. Jesse would kill him and me if Alec made him late again.

Alec sat at the edge of his bed tying his shoes, he was wearing an identical uniform to mine except his was all black besides from a white shirt and he was in pants not a skirt. I softly knock on the door to catch his attention. He looked up momentarily and gave me a quick "shhhh" and motioned with his head over to a sleeping Grayson.

Grayson was a bartender so he mostly worked nights and slept during the day, he once told me the main selling point of being a bartender was the easy drunk girls. I also remember punching him in his chest pretty hard after he said that.

Quietly, Alec grabbed his bag and started walking towards me. He gently shut the door behind him and together we walked down the stairs to the kitchen.

Callie shovelled cheerios into her mouth, spilling milk everywhere in her attempt. Her eyes stayed glued to the iPad, she was watching some cartoons like she did every morning. She didn't even greet Alec when we walked in, I guess cartoons took priority.

"Morning bro," Jesse handed Alec a glass of orange juice before sitting down next to Callie. He placed down a plate piled with toast in the middle of the table to which Callie grabbed a slice, I guess toast took priority over cartoons then.

"Thanks for getting orange juice for me too," I spat aggressively before opening the fridge and pouring some for myself.

Jesse shrugged carelessly, "I didn't know you wanted some. I'm not a mind reader."

I pull a face and point at Alec, "how did you know he would want some then?"

"Cuz our minds are one," Alec fist bumped Jesse to which I did the biggest eye roll ever. "Don't hate us cuz you ain't us baby." Again, the biggest eye roll ever.

I make my way to the table and sit opposite Alec, grabbing a couple slices of toast and scrolling through my phone.

The toast tasted so good, all brown and buttered with the perfect amount of crisp. It was beautiful really-

"Burpppppppp"

I snapped out of my thoughts and watched as Alec licked his fingers and continued burping. I give him a hard kick under the table with a face full of repulsion.

"Ouch, watch it!" Alec groaned and gulped his orange juice down in one go.

"You're gross," I state as my nose wrinkled with disgust. "Why would you burp while we're all eating?"

"Yeah, you're gross!" Callie chimed in with her little buttery finger pointed at Alec.

"Better out than in I always say," Alec joked to which Jesse burst out laughing. I rolled my eyes unimpressed by their childishness.

After finishing breakfast we hop into Noah's car, Jesse was driving it today which meant Noah got a lift with Addison, and Liam probably got picked up by a friend.

It took about twenty five minutes for us to reach the high school, fifteen minutes if we wouldn't have drop Callie off beforehand.

Jesse pulled up the handbrake as he got into a space, Alec and I got out the car. "You'll need to get the bus home today," Jesse leaned forward to look at us through the passenger window.

We nod before saying our goodbyes and watching Jesse speed off, I sighed and gripped onto the strap of my bag.

Together we walked in, as we started passing people in the corridor I noticed all the girls turn to their friends and watched as Alec strutted by.

Whispering things like, "I wonder how big his willy is."

"He's so daddy."

"He could run me over and I'd apologise."

I roll my eyes at their thirstiness towards my brother. Since he was a year older than everyone else in the last year the girls dropped at his feet, who doesn't love an older guy right?

We say our goodbyes and go our separate ways as I head to registration. The class was half empty but I spotted Nikita straight away talking to a few of the other girls.

"Hey you," I sheepishly grin to which she gives me an equally cheesy grin. I throw my bag on the desk and take a seat next to her.

"Hey hey hey," Nikita gave me a side hug before pulling back and watching me look around the class.

She rolled her eyes, "he's not here yet."

My head snapped in her direction as my cheeks got hotter by the second, "mmh I wasn't looking for anyone." My throat felt dry and I could tell Nikita wasn't buying it.

Nikita started opening her mouth but stopped abruptly and raised an eyebrow in the doors direction. I turned around and there he was looking as scrumptious as ever.

Leo.
