Rant Number Seventeen: The Steves

        All right, so, the thing with this one is, well, the Steves. The Decepticon drones.

        What surprises me with this one is the plain fact that, well, so few people seem to know about it.

        I don't know where this mocking nickname came from for the Decepticon drones/vehicons in TFP, and I take no credit for it, but frankly, I like it, and it just kind of sticks.

        If you won't take my word for it, see the attached video that first brought this nickname to light for me. After I saw that video, I've seen the nickname for those little twerps a few times, so it's unofficially official if you know what I mean.

        Anyway, I've been fairly . . . Lenient when using the nickname just because I've heard of it so many times, and once in a while I'll get these comments on it and I'll just be weirded out for a second because, well, it's second nature for me at this point. So, having someone who just finds it utterly fascinating or out of place makes me wonder for a moment. But then I move on and pretty much stop caring.

        Again, I play no part in the creation of this nickname, only in spreading it to the transfan universe as I can. And the video just kind of makes it all the more amazing. I love that video. Anyone who does not has no sense of humor.

        Or just a different sense of humor than me. Or they're in a really bad mood. I don't know. But seriously. The Steves. It's a real, unofficial thing. So when you see it next, I hope now you aren't confused if you were before.

        Most importantly: enjoy the mocking of the Steves and their disposable faceplates!
