Title--- Mel the Lovable Idiot

Question--- Why is Mel the... idiot of the group?

Answer--- He's got some brain damage.

Evidence--- His erratic behavior.

Theory--- Mel was and still is the most hyperactive of the gang. This usually leads him into ramming his head into walls, furniture or something else. One day, he banged his head so hard on something, I wanna say a wall or door, that it 'shook' his brain. He of course survived the incident but he can't exactly think straight and it leads him to do idiotic things. He sometimes forgets things as well. His friends, specifically Buddy and Sweetpea, try their best to help him but eventually learned that it was better to leave it. Plus, I think they all liked Mel as a lovable idiot.

Unanswered Question--- Could his head injury be somehow related to why he hates squirrels so much?
