Renjun attended work the next day. He has to just to atleast make it up for yesterday. He spent his whole day just watching Jeno practice hockey, and he actually got treated for dinner. The alpha insisted since the omega cheered, but that's what Renjun knows. In reality, Jeno just wants to take him out to spend more time with him. They enjoyed the whole day and it was very memorable. Renjun wanted to do it again.

But maybe some other day, he can. For now, he needs to work. He feels bad for leaving his friends all day.

"Good morning, Injunnie!"

"Good morning, Hyuck!"

Donghyuck went into the staff's room, placing his bag inside, "How was yesterday? Nothing bad happened to you?"

Renjun furrowed his eyebrows and shook his head, "It was nice yesterday. Jeno's really good at hockey and also, he treated me dinner. Then he taught me ice skating It was really fun."

"Oh, really? Must be really fun. By the way, we have many appointments today. Jaeminnie will come today--"

"Eh? He doesn't have to!" the omega uttered.

Donghyuck hummed, "But everyone's on leave today. Sungchan needs to stay home for Shotaro. Cheng hyung has a hospital duty today, then it's Jungwoo hyung's day of heat. We don't have any choice, do we, Injun?"

Renjun sighed, "He doesn't have anything to do?"

"None, don't worry about it. He wanted it anyway. Why are you worried about him? Why don't you treat me like that?" Donghyuck pouted.

The omega was taken aback, "W-Well...you don't do much anyway and I thought Jaem would be busier in the weekends..."

The beta placed his hands on his hips with one eyebrow raised, "Alright. Whatever excuse makes you sleep at night."

Renjun just whined about it and tried telling Donghyuck that he wasn't making excuses. They quarrelled a bit, the beta teasing him about having favoritism. It's like this every morning anyway. Very noisy and it was somehow a mood setter. Though, they stopped when they heard the bell by the door which made them to stop. Renjun looked over at the direction and immediately, he smiled.

"Jaem! Good morning!" Renjun cheerfully greeted.

Jaemin comes in and smiled at him, "Good morning, Renjun. How was yesterday?"

The beta felt bothered about Renjun being with that alpha. He doesn't know what they did and it makes him think what that Jeno guy planned. Though, he didn't want to ask him that. That would look suspicious and weird.

"It was fun! Jeno taught me how to skate and treated me dinner. He looked really, really cool when he was playing hockey though! I wondered how he would play when the tournament starts--You should come!" Renjun said with so much energy.

Jaemin could only nod, "If I'm not busy, maybe I could."

The omega frowned, "Promise?"

The beta then handed out a paper bag, "Is this enough for a promise?"

Renjun's eyes suddenly widened. He gasped as soon as he smelt what was inside of it. He received it and opened the bag, seeing the delicious baked goods, "You made these?"

"Of course. It's for you."

Jaemin may or may not have asked Donghyuck what was Renjun's favorite desserts, which were chocolate chips and brownies. He had to wake up early for those but he wasn't mad about it. The things he does for the omega.

"Thank you..." Renjun looked at him with sincere, his ears going down and his eyes becoming like puppy eyes, which was ironic.

"You don't have to say that. I do it for you...and for practice."

"I'll finish this in a minute--"

"Can I have one?" Donghyuck asked.

Renjun pouted, "Did you hear what Jaemin said? It's for me."

"Give me one! You can't eat so much sugar, Renjun!"

"Ask Mark to bake you some!"

"He can't bake!"

"Exactly!"

Jaemin could only laugh at them. Not bothering them, he made his way into the staff's room to keep his bag inside. He went back, already with his apron on, then standing behind the counter. Seemed like the quarrelling stopped, hearing nothing but the music softly playing inside the shop. But he jolted and was taken aback when Renjun appeared infront of him in a very sudden manner.

Thinking that the omega's face was too close, although the gap between their faces were about 12 inches. His heart was beating too fast about it though.

"You're going to bake for an orphanage?"

"O-Oh...where did you hear that?"

Jaemin knew who it was and it wasn't a surprise. It should've been a secret, thinking that it'll be too boring for the omega. Nothing compared to the alpha's plan to score a point. But Donghyuck told him it'll be nice to have some time with Renjun. Of course, the beta wanted to do it with the hybrid but he doesn't know if the hybrid will like it. He doesn't want to make him think that he could've been at home rather baking for an orphanage.

"Hyuckie invited me! You do it yearly?" Renjun asked, very interested in the topic.

Jaemin nodded, "D-Do you want to...come? It's fine if not."

"Minnie, I grew up in an orphanage so children and people working there are very close to my heart. I would love to volunteer for them."

The beta hummed, "Ah, is that so? But it'll be a bit busy..."

"I'm fine with it! You'll be there anyway, right?"

"Of course."

Renjun clapped his hands giddily, "I'll be saving my next Sunday for it!"

Jaemin smiled, "I can pick you up."

"I'm fine with it if you are," the omega said.

"Yeah, if it's you...I mean, why not?"

"I can learn baking too!" Renjun uttered.

Jaemin chuckled, "I feel pressured."

The omega laughed but before he can say anything else, he was called for help. Jaemin lets him go so he could attend Donghyuck supplying some shelves at the back. The beta was left with assisting customers that were coming in just a few seconds ago.

Break time came up and since they're just the three of them attending work right now and they couldn't leave the store for a long time, they'll just buy real quick then eat inside the staff's room. Jaemin volunteered to buy it for them but Renjun couldn't really think of something he wants so he asked the beta if he could come.

"You really can't think of something? Maybe noodles or whatever?" Jaemin asked. He doesn't want to take him because it was too hot and there are many people outside at this hour. Imagining losing Renjun horrifies him.

The hybrid shook his head.

Donghyuck yawned, "Just let him go with you. Make sure you guys are close together."

Renjun nodded, "Let's go?" he asked Jaemin.

The beta looked back at him, "Okay. Let's go."

Both of them left the store and walked down the sidewalk. Jaemin doesn't want to keep his eye on Renjun when people are literally surrounding the streets right now. Sunday is really a hectic and chaotic day of the week. He's too shy to ask if he could atleast hold his wrist. But to his surprise, Renjun was the one who held his wrist.

Jaemin tried hard not to blush too much. His heart's about to explode but it was nothing romantic or something. Maybe Renjun just couldn't catch up, so the beta slowed down.

When they arrived at the nearby convenient store, Renjun started looking around what he wants for lunch. If only Jaemin was able to cook, they wouldn't be bothered to go out and buy. He blamed his alarm clock on it.

"Why do people care for omegas too much?" Renjun suddenly asked.

"People like them are vulnerable. Either they look tough on the outside or not, you're vulnerable."

The omega hummed, "But I think I can handle myself."

"You still need someone to be with you. That's why I got worried when you told me you live alone in your apartment," the beta answered, grabbing the cup of ramen Donghyuck likes.

"You don't have any trust on me?"

Jaemin looked back at him, "I trust you, but not the people around you. I just knew you for about a month now but I worry about people who are close to me, like you."

The omega nodded slowly then looked at the shelf infront, "I spent my whole life alone, I know my things around."

"Whatever you say, I'll just keep being worried for you. You had no one but now, you have me. I'll care for you."

Why did you say that?!

Renjun chuckled, "You're very sweet, Minnie. You sure you aren't dating anyone?"

Jaemin's face was burning but he dared not to show himself to the omega, he was just looking at the other direction, "N-No! Of course not..."

"Renjun?"

Looking at the one who called the omega, the beta felt tension. Maybe that's why he was smelling a scent he was awfully familiar with.

"Jeno-ah!"
