Shivaay rolled a paratha and gave it to Anika. Anika was about to eat it when they heard footsteps approaching the terrace.

Anika and Shivaay exchanged worried expressions.

As soon as Anuradha opened the terrace door, she looked around and saw Shivaay eating his breakfast while Anika was putting the wet clothes on the clothes string to dry them.

An- Anika, what are you doing here, beta?

Anuradha said while faking a smile because of Shivaay's presence.

A- Maaji, I...I... Was just drying clothes. Did you need anything?

An- Oh! Nothing. You just disappeared so I was just looking for my beloved daughter in law.

Anuradha said with a fake smile and turn to look at Shivaay who was already glaring at her. Anika controlled her smile after looking at the duo.

Anuradha chuckled nervously.

An- You do your work. I'll go.

She said faking sweetness to Anika and left. Shivaay and Anika looked at each other and burst into laughter.

Shivaay gave the paratha to Anika and she ate it happily.

S- So, will you show me... I mean me and Chris, the village?

Anika looked at him with hesitation.

A- Uh... I...can.... But.... I won't get the permission.

Anika said with hesitation and Shivaay thought for a while.

S- Don't worry about that. I'll cover up for you. Take your iPad also so that you can study for your entrance exam too.

Shivaay said and Anika smiled widely and nodded her head.

A- I'll prepare the lunch in half an hour and then we can go.

Anika rushed inside the kitchen and started preparing lunch with a wide smile.

Reeti entered the kitchen and was happy to see Anika smiling.

R- Someone's looking happy.

Reeti asked her with a smile and Anika looked at Reeti with a wide smile.

A- Reeti chachi, I've so much to tell you but please promise me that you won't tell anybody.

Reeti cupped Anika's cheeks and smiled.

R- if it's the matter of my daughter's happiness then I won't open my mouth till death.

Anika smiled with teary eyes and she hugged Reeti.

R- Now tell me what happened?

Anika told her everything from the start and about her education as well.

Reeti was so happy about it.

R- I'm so happy for you, Anika. Finally you took a step closer to your dreams. I'm happy that someone understood your pain and is helping you.

Reeti Smiled and Anika smiled too.

A- I'll prepare the lunch and then Shivaay told me that he'll take me for village tour.

Anika said excitedly and Reeti smiled.

R- let me help you prepare lunch.

Anika nodded her head and they started preparing lunch together.

Soon they heard anuradha shouting Anika's name.

Anika looked at Reeti worriedly and she had the same expression.

Anika immediately rushed towards the living room where Shivaay and Chris were standing and all the family were also present.

A- Maaji, you called me?

Anuradha looked at her angrily.

An- Shehri babu wants to take you for the village tour... Oops.. I mean for factory sight seeing.

Baldev glared at Anuradha.

B- ANURADHA! STAY IN YOUR LIMITS. YOU'RE SPOILING OUR REPUTATION IN FRONT OF OUR GUESTS.

Baldev shouted at Anuradha and Anuradha immediately became quiet.

B- Mr. Oberoi, I won't tolerate this indecency. You can't take my daughter in law with you. Have you even thought about our reputation?

S- I understand your point of view, Sarpanch ji. But this project is important for me and Chris. I can't take you or someone else because you guys don't know English except Anika. Anika knows the ways of the village and she knows English too. I'm not here to become a translator for Chris so I want a person who can translate everything to him and even explain the culture and about the area to Chris as well. And I'm sure you can't do that. Either you agree with me or this deal is off.

Shivaay said angrily and Baldev was speechless. He couldn't lose this deal as he will also recieve profit because of the land.

B- Okay. Anika can go with you but make sure you return before sunset.

Shivaay nodded his head and Anika smiled  slowly.

B- Bahu, go and stay in your limits. If I hear something bad about you then Anuradha will handle you.

Baldev said sternly to Anika and she nodded her head.

S- Let's go. Chris is waiting in the car.

Anika nodded her head and immediately went towards her hut and grabbed her bag which had a lunch box and her iPad in it.

She settled in the backseat. Soon they left for the land for factory.
