3rd POV

The Seirin Basketball team has requsted a timeout for the time being and were now ready for their preparations against what might be one of the toughest opponents in the tournament.

Seirin has had it rough since their bracket were full of menacing teams, that involves the Kaijo Basketball team, Shutoku and finally Tóo Academy. Three of these games were played insanely close that Serin barely won against them.

But now, they'll be playing an even more tougher opponent, that consists of a Prodigy and a team that supports him all the way. Team Karasuno were among the favorites to win the whole tournament and they did not dissapoint. But to be the best, they have to beat the best.

Their bracket was no doubt pretty challenging. They were faced up against the Runner Ups of the Winter Cup, the Emperor Eye and the leader of the Generation of Miracles, Seijuro Akashi. Not to mention that three of his teamates were at his level, meaning that The Uncrowned Kings were beside him.

But everyone in the world witnessed history, a defeat too hard to imagine. Seijuro Akashi and his team.. Were humbled by the rookie superstar.

Flash Back

It was the Semi-Finals of the tournament. The upcoming rookie and the Karasuno High faced up against the team that withstood the Emperor of Time. Rakuzan High.

Everyone predicted that this would be a close game, but some doubted Karasuno to win against Rakuzan since they were just too strong coming up the tournament.

But to everyone that did doubt the Prodigy's team.. They sure will remember the day that Seijuro Akashi was no match against him. His aura and leadership was just too much.

The score was 98-75. It's the last quarter and Rakuzan were too tired to play the game. There were only five minutes left and they have the ball.

Seijuro was sweating, breathing heavily. His eyes was on full blown confusion and anger staring daggers at the rookie who's at the end of the court staring at him calmly. But that made him so enraged that he screamed at his Bulky teamate to pass the ball.

His mind was in the gutters, he doesn't care if he loses anymore, he just wants to defeat the enemy right infront of his eyes.

Seijuro: You... I'm done with your bullshit!

He ran to the other side of the court with fierce, like a beast who has no intention but to kill. As soo as he reached in front of Y/N, he sweeps his leg to the left and bounced the ball under his legs.

Seijuro: Kneel!

His eyes turned red, a sign that he activated the broken Emperor Eye... But to everyone's shock, it didn't work on the Prodigy because what he did next blown everyone's mind.

He perfectly timed the Emperor Eye and jumped like a bird ready to fly, staying perfectly calm and collected. On the other hand Seijuro had no idea what just happened but there was one word that stucked everyones mind that day.

..He has dodged the Emperor Eye.

The scene slow-mowed as it was a very elegant thing to see, Seijuro has a shocked face just like the two individual's teams. The Prodigy safely landed back down and time seemed to set at it's normal speed.

But to Akashi, he was too stunned to speak. No one has ever done that to the menacing Leader of the GOM. Not even Y/N's teamates thought of that ridiculous plan.

Y/N: I beat you... Akashi-Senpai.

He swiftly stealed the ball from his hands and ran to the other side of the court. Akashi's teamates tried to catch up but he was too fast and jumped, soaring high like a bird and slammed the ball down to the basket.

The crowd for a second were stunned at the sequence but they roared as the arena were full of screams and cheers. And of course, one of them were Y/N's friend and lover.

The rest of the remaining minutes were just a slaughter for the Karasuno Basketball Team, Akashi just decided to sit down the bench, seeing his teamates in despair like him.

Y/N dropped 43 points on their head while the rest of his teamates played decently, but he couldn't win without them all. The score ended, 124-99.

Present

But that was three days ago, this time he's ready for another championship and is poised to win it all once again. But there's only one more team that stood his way. And it's the Incredible Offensive team of Seirin High.

The sound of a horn signalled that both of the teams are ready to go. The score was close 65-62.

Seirin has the ball and they have all the time in the world to develop a strategy when it was on timeout. And they decided that Kuroko will defend him for some reason.

Kagami: Kuroko, are you sure you can defend him?

Kuroko looked at his partner with a smile.

Kuroko: Trust me Kagami-kun. Just like last time.

He puts up his hand for a fist bump that Kagami sighed.

Kagami: Fine, let's do it for our team.

Kuroko: Hai!

Y/N POV

I breathe in and out, relaxing my body. I then felt a tap on my shoulder and turned to face my Coach.

Y/N: Sir?

Coach: You're now the target to that team, remember to pass the ball alright? Don't forget you have teamates Y/N.

Y/N: I'm not a ballhog sir.

Coach: That's not what I meant. Since they already know your attack patterns, you'll become very vulnerable. I know this because I saw how the way they look at you. Just be careful.

Y/N: ..Yes sir. I won't let you and this team down.

Coach: Heh. I know you won't.

He tapped my shoulder twice, reassuring me but I'm calm as ever. I nod at him and he does right back. It's time to play.

???: Yo Y/N! You coming or what?

I smiled at the irritating voice.

Y/N: You're as eager as ever.. Mitsui-Senpai.

Mitsui: And there you go with that Senpai, senpai bluh bluh. I told you just call me Mitsui.

Y/N: Right. Sorry Mitsui.

???: Looks like they'll be focusing on you Y/N. Be careful.

Y/N: I know that Miyagi.

Miyagi: We got this.

Y/N: Of course. Rukawa-Senpai. I'll be passing you and everyone the ball this time, Coach's orders.

Rukawa: Mmh.

???: No matter what happens, you're our biggest link in this team Y/N.

???: Hey! Why can't I play?!

Miyagi: Because you're our secret weapon Sakuragi!

Sakuragi: Oh come on!! You've been saying that for a long time now! Why?!

???: Shut you dumbass!

The big guy punched his thick head, earning Sakuragi a groan.

Y/N: Uhm, Captain I think you should just let him be..

Mitsui: He really has anger issues. Oi Akagi! The match is about to start!

Akagi: I know that! So, what are we waiting for?

The team huddled up together as they shout in unison.

Akagi: Karasuno! Fight!!

Everyone: Fight!!

3rd POV

It has now began, the Grand-Finals of the tournament will begin on the second half. The referee gives the ball to Seirin High and whistled to start the game.

The Eagle eye Izuki was handling the ball, but he will be having a bad time since Y/N will be his defender for the time being. To say that Y/N's stare was intimidating is already a major problem to Izuki. Crows usually wait for their pray to come out and then pounce at the perfect time.

The rest of his team had that stare aswell, not to mention they're all looking at their respected players.

Izuki: Man to Man Defense. This early in the match? What are you planning Y/N...?

Y/N: You lack focus.

Izuki widens his eyes in shock, the ball was swiftly stolen by Y/N and ran faster than a speeding bullet.

Izuki: What?! I didn't even feel the ball out of my hands!

Kagami: Izuki!

Seirin tried to catch up but once again Y/N has a free lane for a jam.

..Or so he thought. Kuroko was already infront of him, slightly suprising the young rookie.

Y/N: Huh, weird.

Kuroko: I got you now!

He used his stealthines to steal but Y/N had other plans. Without warning, Captain Akagi already jumped like a beast and Y/N with no hesitation, passed upwards like a badass.

Kuroko: D-Did they plan that?

Akagi: RAGHHH!!

SLAM!!

The crowd cheered from the monstrous dunk and that's going to the highlight reel for sure. Y/N and Akagi fistbump on the way back while the rest of Seirin were stunned.

Junpei: He turned our turnover into a show like it was nothing.

Teppei: Hey everyone! It's okay, we'll get them later.

Kagami/Kuroko: Hai!

Junpei: You got that right, we're not backing down!

Y/N POV

Looks like they're pumped up, good, they're gonna need.

Mitsui: I got their three point shooter.

Miyagi: I'll defend pretty boy.

Akagi: You already know who I'm going to defend.

Rukawa: Mine's that ignorant brat. Just like a brat I know.

For some reason, Sakuragi heard that and rebutted his words back.

Y/N: Focus everyone. They're coming.

Izuki was holding the ball once again but this time his defender will be Miyagi. The battle of Point Guards are back once again. Miyagi however signalled everyone to slight hold back on the side of the court, and everyone saw it.

Me and the other three moved on the right and left the two point guards by themselves.

Coach: Isolation. This is an offensive strategy that is played for a man to man defense. This is for the ball handler to give room to play one-on-one against an inferior defender. While the rest watch the outcome. What a daring move Miyagi.

Izuki: He's underestimating me.. I hate it!

Unfortunately for Izuki, he can't use his Eagle eyes for this since his power only relies on his teamates. And without them, he has to risk playing against the fastest member of Karasuno.

Izuki: I'm not losing to you.

Miyagi: I'm happy to hear that.

Izuki freestyled with the ball, thinking his next move, he moved to the left and juggled to the right. Suprisingly got out of the defense of Miyagi.

Shikimori: Oh no, he passed!

Coach: That's what you think.

What looks like to be a free layup for Izuki, Miyagi jumped right behind and reached for the ball. Blocking it, and bounced on the glass.

Teppei and Akagi jumped at the same time to get the rebound, but the both of them were outrebounded by Kagami.

Akagi: Rukawa!

Rukawa: Hai!

Kagami: Don't get in my way!

Kagami used his powerful jump and hopefully jamming the ball on the ring, but Rukawa was already in the air and swatted it away.

Mitsui: Fastbreak!

Y/N: Go!

The rest of Karasuno ran to the other side of the court while Akagi made a Touchdown pass, launching it on the hands of Miyagi.

Y/N: Go Miyagi!

At the end of the court, Kagami wants to get revenge for the block.

Kagami: You're not scoring on my watch!

Miyagi looked at Y/N for a pass but he shook his head, Kuroko was already defending him. The momentum was already on Miyagi's so it's the only way to get a point.

The Fastbreak was still in action with Miyagi running and gunning while Kagami waits for the perfect block.

Kagami: He's not passing? If you're so eager to make a play. Then come and get me!

Miyagi jumped and at the same time Kagami does aswell, but Kagami was way higher in the air and it was looking like a greedy play.

Hinata: Crap! I think he messed up!

Tsukushima: Of course he did, that's a really risky play.

Kageyama: I agree.

Shikimori: Oh come on guys, please stop!

Back on the game, Miyagi and Kagami were neck and neck in the air but Miyagi had something up his sleeve.

Kagami wanted to slap the ball out of his hands but Miyagi did the unthinkable.. He spun around the attempt of a block and Kagami himself.

Kagami: H-Huh...

Miyagi has a clear space for an open layup and Kagami couldn't bend his body to block.

Everyone in the stadium were loss for words, Miyagi gently landed his feet on the ground with a smile on his face.

Miyagi: You really think you can stop me huh?

He burned Kagami's pride and washed out his teamates like it was nothing. He disgraced the most powerful member of Seirin.

Mitsui: Heh, he still got it.

Sakuragi: Haha! You're so good you curly-haired shrimp!

Akagi: Well played Miyagi.

Miyagi: Thanks everyone.

3rd POV

While everyone compliments Miyagi's miraculous play. Seirin were no doubt in trouble right now.

Junpei: This is bad. If we can't even defend that number 23, then the rest of his teamates can just play around.

Teppei: You're right. We have to make a plan quick.

Kagami: No...

Everyone looked at their ace player with shock, he's radiating a powerful aura that they remember all too well.

Kuroko: K-Kagami-Kun.. You can't possibly be using it right now.

Kagami: What choice do we have?! If we can't score, then we'll get nailed!

Izuki: Kagami. We've been in this situation for a long time. Calm down and don't mind what that guy said.

Kagami was aching in anger, his fist has obvious veins in his hands.

Junpei: Wake up you idiot!

He slapped his hand on the back of his head, earning him a painful groan.

Kagami: Hey!

Teppei: We'll get them back, it's still way too early for this.

Kuroko: He's right. We can still win Kagami-Kun.

Kagami: ...Fine. I trust everyone here.

Everyone smiled at the answer while some sighed in relief.

Junpei: Our job isn't over. We've completely underestimated Karasuno and that's our mistake! Let's get them back and win!

Seirin BB Team: Hai!!

Akagi: Look's like they'll be ready to attack once more. Let's get the ball as usual!

Karasuno BB Team: Hai!

This time Izuki wasn't holding the ball but Junpei, Mitsui is ready for everything he comes his way if ever something happens.

They were face to face with each other, ready for another battle.

But Junpei makes the first move and used his skill, Barrier Jumper. Mitsui read that like a book and stepped forward with his arm up. But this was all a bait, Junpei passed the ball in between his legs and it bounced inside Kagami.

Kagami: Nice pass.

He observed the outcome in his mind and with the amount of simulations in his head, there's one play that Rukawa can't catch up on.

Rukawa: Come on. Move.

Kagami: Gladly.

He pushed himself inside, dribbling the ball.

Coach: He's forcing Rukawa to steal! Rukawa! Don't let him pass!

Rukawa nod his head and tightened his defense like never before. Kagami tried to push again but it was different from last time.

Once he pushed, Rukawa slightly stumbled on his feet and that little error can make Kagami maneuver his way out and pass the ball to... Y/N.

Coach: He messed up!

Miyagi: Fastbreak!

To everyone's suprise, Kuroko was suddenly infront of Y/N and trajectored the ball to their Center inside.

The confusing plan made Karasuno struggle. Miyagi was shocked and tried to get back to defense, but Teppei already passed the ball to Junpei and quickly shot the ball.

Swish!

69-65

Seirin's benched cheered loudly at the amazing sequnce. That was a shocker of a play.

Junpei: Alright! That's one baby!

Kuroko: Nice shot Senpai!

Miyagi: Aish, sorry guys.

Y/N: Don't bother. It was also my fault that I couldn't catch the ball.

Akagi: We attack once again!

Karasuno BB Team: Hai!

It's now Karasuno's time to inbound the ball and get back at the simply astonishing play. Miyagi has the ball in hand while he observes the area around him. He sees Rukawa signalling with his hand to pass and gladly did so.

Miyagi: Score for us Rukawa!

Rukawa: Mmh.

He nods. He's not showing it but he's rather pumped up. But he'll be having a hard time because his defender will be Kagami.

Kagami: You won't get passed this time.

Rukawa: I don't know who's louder, you or that other brat.

Sakuragi: Urgh! I heard that you ballhog!

Rukawa: But it doesn't matter, I'll pass you and score.

Kagami: Show it to me then!

Rukawa dribbled the ball calmly and slowly strategizing his way inside.

Kagami: That's...

Riko/Coach: Change of Pace. It's a shift of the dribble that can change into one rhythm to another. Meaning that he can change his pace slowly and then acclerate at high speeds.

Riko: I just wish Kagami knows this playstyle. I told him not to sleep on our locker room earlier!!

Coach: Kagami is fast there's no doubt. But Rukawa is on another level when it comes to speed. Miyagi and him trains everyday so there's no doubt in our minds.

Miyagi: He'll win this battle.

Rukawa stared at the Ace player of Seirin, calmly reading his every move while Kagami was sweating hard. He was confused, he's just standing there idly dribbling the ball.

Kagami: Come on, where are you gonna go.

Time slowed down to the both of them, the shotclock expiring at the meantime...

Y/N: He needs to move now.

Mitsui: He's too cool that even the shotclock gave him time.

Miyagi: I shouldn't have passed, haha.

Rukawa finally moved but this time he was way too fast for Kagami to catch up, he just moved to the right and immediately passed him.

Kagami: So fast!

Rukawa perfectly timed the outcome but there's two more defenders he needs to pass.

Junpei: Come on!

Teppei: We're ready for you!

Rukawa dribbled the ball on the way to the basket and Junpei was ready for it, he tried to steal it but Rukawa elegantly placed the ball behind and bounced it on his other hand.

Junpei: He shuffled the ball that fast!? Is this guy even human?!

Coach: When he was still young, he's already meant to play basketball. He's beaten every Junior High you could think of and has achieved awards unimaginable. A Behind the Back Crossover is nothing to him.

Y/N: He's already mastered that techniuqe.

Sugawara: Woah! That was so cool!

Shikimori/Hinata: WAH!!

Kageyama: Incredible, he's pretty flexible for his height. He might be more flexible than Nishinoya.

Rukawa passed through their Captain but there's only one more player that stood in his way.

Teppei: I won't let you!

Rukawa: Move.

The pretty boy and the cuddly giant jumped at the same time but the difference in height is way too much.

Sakuragi: You idiot! You should've just passed!

Miyagi/Mitsui: Rukawa!

Y/N: Crap, at this rate he'll get blocked!

Everyone watched the battle of the high-jumpers once again, but this one might be a little surreal and not fair... Or so everyone thought.

Teppei is ready to block the ball once again, his arm alreadt infront of the ball and Rukawa was still stuck on the air.

Akagi: Damnit, he's gonna get blocked. Rebound!

But to everyones doubts and suprise, as soon as Teppei reached down the ball, Rukawa showed who's boss and prefectly timed it.

He placed the ball down on his chest and made Teppei look like a chaotic mad man in the air. Rukawa's flexibility placed both of his hands on the ball once again and slammed the ball down the basket.

BANG!

A/N: If you watched this scene from the actual Anime. Then this was a very epic moment from Rukawa.

Everyones faces were litteraly ready to come out off their faces. The agility, the reflex and the amount of training to make that happen is insane.

Miyagi: What a Beast.

Mitsui: He's really something else.

Akagi: ..Kaede Rukawa..

He turned around and looked at Teppei one last time, walking away like a badass.

Y/N: Nice play Rukawa.

He looked at his teamate and gave him a high five.

The other members hogged him from the amazing outplay in which he didn't mind.

Y/N: I'm just glad he's on my team. But that's gonna be a bitter, sweet reality for Seirin.

It's a time where two of the best teams will battle it out at the final game, it's always going to be a banger or it could be one-sided.

But to the people that are watching right now, knew that they have a Battle on their hands.
