Gopherstar / Gophertooth

Nice. I haven't seen Gopher as a prefix before. Because he is in a non-canon Clan, I assume that they live somewhere where there are gophers?
Except they're on the border with ShadowClan, which is kinda confusing. I assume they're in the future sometime, which is cool. Overall nice name, I haven't seen it before.

I'm tired of dark brown tabbies okay! Especially with amber eyes! Tigerstar! Bramblestar! Brokenstar! Now GOPHERSTAR!

Sorry. I do like that he is missing an eye, but this fur color is horribly overused. Blah.

The Foliage Colony AKA Foliageclan

Cool. I like that it's a colony. I haven't seen FoliageClan before.

I like how he is very balanced with good and bad traits. Good job on that. Workaholic and cautious aren't seen a lot, so again, good job.

Gopherstar had a blessed kithood that was filled with love and encouragement from the clan. He was a great apprentice, though he had his ups and downs, and became a warrior by the name of Gophertooth. He took a mate and had kittens of his own, though his workaholic tendencies caused him to be apart from them for periods of time. After his kittens where apprenticed - his first born son being given to him - his parents died of old age and it hit him very hard as he loved them both very much. He became more serious and withdrawn afterwards ... But with the help of his beloved wife and children he was able to overcome his grief and become his old self again. Right before his kits became warriors, the deputy died tragically in a border skirmish with Shadowclan that went too far and Gopherstar was given the position. Ever since then Gopherstar has felt very prickly towards the other clans, especially Shadowclan. When the old leader retired due to old age, Gopherstar took the position and became leader of Foliageclan.

Typical leader backstory, but the parents' death was a nice twist. I noticed that a lot of people have their ocs as orphans, but you had a reason for it. I like the character development.

Why are they unnamed? Aren't they already apprentices? And... his mate?

8/10. Honestly I'm just done with dark brown tabbies. Yeah, they are popular irl, but not every cat has to be a tabby! Or brown! Also I'm confused about why his mate has no name, and his kits...?
