Key woke up and got to her paws instantly. She was confused Would she have to abandon the life she was used to? She wondered. She decided to go talk to her friend nextdoor "Roy". She went through the flap at the bottom of the twoleg door her white fur ruffled in the wind and she had forgotten how nice it felt to have the wind in her fur.
"Key!" Said a voice from the other side of the fence, it was Roy. "Hi Roy." She said hopping onto the fence " Its nice to see you."   " It's nice to see you Key, I haven,t seen you in days. I was beginning to get worried." Meowed Roy.  "S...Sorry I just didn't think about going outside." Said Key.

                  "That's okay now that I know your fine there is no need to apologize. Roy said pressing his pelt against hers comfortingly. "So.......how is it going at your house Roy?" Key asked. "Eh" Roy shrugged " Nothing new except our  neighbor's new dog, it always barks when it comes by our house. And when it does it always wakes me up from Catnaps." He said licking a paw. "So what's going on at your house Key?"

Key looked down sadly she wasn',t ready to tell Roy about her dream and the choice she had made would upset him greatly. She knew that Roy wouldn't support her choice but she had to tell him and get his advice if he had any. "I had a dream last night." She started. "I was in the forest with my twolegs, but then all of a sudden they disappeared and everything turned black. I couldn,t see a thing. Then when light appeared I was in this beautiful clearing where four great oaks stood and there was a tall great rock . And stars Surrounded me. " looked up at Roy his eyes gleamed as if he were admiring the scene just as she had. He flicked his tail signaling for her to continue.
" I was just sitting there looking around when all the stars turned into cat like figures with eyes like the moon . " she looked down sadly she was about to tell Roy that they said she should leave. She instantly felt chocked with sadness of leaving him.

She kept her gaze fixed on the ground and she felt as I'd nothing's in the world were moving and everything was still as if it were waiting for her to tell her finish telling him her dream. " Then the cats told me that I need to go into the forest and save a clan from a great darkness." Key closed her eyes ready for Roy to try and make sure she wouldn't leave him but she felt as if she belonged somewhere other than in twoleg place. " She felt as if a dog had pierced her heart and she couldn't breath. "I.......I feel as if I should do what the cat told me Roy, I.........I'm so so sorry " Key said as a tear went down her cheek and fell on her paw. She looked up at Roy and saw what she had expected his eyes were clouded with nothing but pure sadness, tears went down his pelt and he was looking at her as if it were his last sight. "N......NO YOU CANT LEAVE ME." he yelled.as more tears ran down his cheek his fur bristled with sadness, anger, and fear for her.

"I just feel as if I have to make this choice."I'm so sorry." Key said as sorrow filled heart." " I feel as if I need belong somewhere else." " Your right." Roy looked down and put his tail over his paws as he spoke. " This is your choice not mine. But please ....... don't forget me." He let his fur lie flat and he closed his eyes. " I....I will come visit you ."Key meowed sorrow still filled her voice .

"Goodbye Roy." Key said leaping off the fence she faced the forest bravely and turned to see Roy looking back at her " I won't forget you." She said softly then she looked toward the forest the wind ruffled her fur and she felt exited as well as nervous to be where she felt she belonged .She felt like a wild one.
