Before he could even finish. A certain fallen warrior beat him to it. 

Mammon: No. I WILL TAKE ON THE TRIAL. 

Everyone froze as they turned to Mammon in shock.

Belphie: Mammon! Are you serious?!

Satan: Are you insane?! What isf you get hurt!

Lucifer: Mammon! This is a terrible idea!

Mammon: The reason why we're in this mess is because of me. Because Paimon wouldn't leave me alone and he snitched.

Lucifer:...

Mammon: I got us into this mess and so...I'll get us out of it.

Diavolo: Wonderful. I'll bring this news to the House Of Lords right away.

Lucifer: Lord Diavolo! Please reconsider!

Diavolo: Sorry Lucifer. But it seems like Mammon had made his choice.

Mammon: Luci...I got this.

Kanon: Are you sure about this, Dad?

Mammon let out a small sigh seeing his daughter had voiced her concerns. Just like his brothers did earlier.

The Trials Of Devildom are brutal and any mistake could be his last...

Mammon: Don't worry, Little Treasure. I'll be fine.

Kanon: Would you? Not saying you don't have what it takes but hearing all this...I can't help but worry.

Mammon couldn't help but gush a little. It feels nice to have a daughter looking after you.

Mammon: Your uncles were the same way...

There's no way out of this. Mammon is aware of this.

Either he goes and does the trial or else, he and brothers will pay with their lives.

He wondered if Diavolo would even afford to have the time to find more demon lords to replace them...

Mammon & Kanon looked to see the angels coming towards them.

Simeon: We heard the news from Lord Diavolo & Lucifer.

Luke: I can't believe they're making you do this! This ain't right! Can you believe this, Kanon?!

Kanon: I know that's what I said. But sadly Luke. Papa has no choice.

Luke then turned his head back to the second eldest.

Luke: How are you anyway? Has Lucifer & the others been saying bad things to you again?!

The question caught Mammon off guard.

Mammon: H-Huh...? Ah! No no! Don't worry Fido. They haven't.

Raphael: Are you sure?

Mammon: Raphael. Honest. They haven't.

Raphael: Really?

The spear angel had peculiar look on his face.

Kanon: Now Now. Raphael. Luke, maybe you both shouldn't make things more complicated for Papa.

Simeon: Kanon's right. We didn't come here to argue, but to bring pastries and make sure we give Mammon our support.

Mammon: Oh... Thanks guys.

Simeon: You're welcome Mammon. After all, we are brothers.

Luke: Y-Yeah! Even though you're a demon, I still considered you as another older brother!

Yeah, that's right. Mammon tends to forget Lucifer, Leviathan, Satan, & the others weren't his only brothers.

Simeon, Luke, Raphael...and Michael...were his brothers as well.

He has their support as well.

Mammon: That's mean a lot guys. Thank you.

Raphael: You're welcome..and btw. Michael said hi.

Mammon:...Is he aware...?

Raphael: Too caught up in work as usual. But it's only a matter of time when he finds out. He will get worry about you.

Mammon: Yeah...

There was a slight hesitation in his tone and it seems everyone besides Luke caught it.

Kanon: Papa...

Mammon looked at his daughter.

Kanon: You'll be alright. You can do this. I believe in you.

Simeon smiled at Kanon's appreciation for Mammon. He also nodded at the second born.

Simeon: That goes for me too, don't forget. We're all here for you.

Luke: Yes! That's right! Don't beat yourself up! You got this!

What is this, a cheer squad?! Mammon couldn't help but blush at so much praise the angels & Kanon were giving him.

He gave them in a determined nod. He refuse to go back to having a losing streak.

He will never show that pathetic side of him ever again!

Mammon: Yeah! I got this! Screw what those old farts say! I'll show them what the Great Mammon can do! I'll show them that I am capable to being a Demon Lord!

Kanon: That's the spirit, Dad!

Luke: Yeah!

Raphael: Good luck.

Simeon: Be careful.

He can do this. After all, he is the Avatar Of Greed.

He won't let himself be tormented by the past.

He will strike fear once again in the hearts of those anicent lords.

After all, don't underestimate the things Mammon can do!

A few days have passed and Mammon had knew what he had to do.

Mephisto: No offense but I wish it was Lucifer doing this and not you.

Mammon: *Sterns* Mephisto.

Mephisto: Sorry. Old habits die hard. Do you really believe you can do this?

Mammon: Well duh. Of course I can. The Great Mammon once helped his brothers became Demon Lords by helping them tame Cerberus.

Mephisto: But didn't Lucifer tamed Cerberus by himself that night?

Mammon:...Geez. Way to kill a guy's confidence.

Mephisto: I'm sorry. Poor choice of words.

Mammon: It's cool.

Mephisto: I must warn you though. Besides Lord Diavolo & his father.  No one has ever and I mean... ever...survived the trials.

Mammon:...

Mephisto: But...I believe you can do this.

Mammon looked at the other male demon. He was the only noble he could trust. They have been dating for ten years now.

Mammon: You really think I can?

Mephisto: Of course. You maybe a bit annoying. You're strong. Reliable. Caring. Because of that, I am lucky to have you as my boyfriend.

Mammon smiled at those words before kissing his lover on the lips.

Mephisto: You better come back to me...and Miss Kanon too. She would be very upset if something happens to you...

Mammon: I know. I'll try not to keep you waiting too long.

Mephisto: ...Good Luck...

Mammon: What do you want?! Can't you see I have a trial to attend?!
