Chapter 16: Talk

Taehyung stayed in his house since the gossiping surrounded him. He felt bored sometimes because Jungkook left to go to his class. However, his hyungs left him some toys to play with since they were still investigating.

"I'm here, hyung." Jungkook uttered when he arrived.

He removed his shoes and put them in the racks. He walked inside but he saw Jin in the kitchen.

"Hyung, where's Taehyung hyung?" Jungkook asked.

"He's sleeping." Jin simply replied.

"Okay." Jungkook muttered, walking away to go to Taehyung's room.

"Wait, Jungkook!" Jin called out.

Jungkook stopped in his path, looking at Jin.

"Yes, hyung?" Jungkook inquired.

"I have something to ask you." Jin uttered.

"What is it, hyung?" Jungkook asked.

"What's Taehyung for you?" Jin asked, staring at Jungkook.

"My brother." Jungkook mumbled.

"The truth, Jungkook! Tell me the truth!" Jin grumbled.

"What do you want me to tell, hyung?" Jungkook asked confused.

"I heard you last night, Jungkook. I heard everything." Jin retorted.

"What...do you mean?" Jungkook asked gulping.

"What are your feelings for Taehyung? What is Taehyung for you?!" Jin asked gritting his teeth.

"You don't need to know, hyung." Jungkook retorted.

"No, you need to stop what you feel for Taehyung." Jin said sternly.

"Why would I do that, hyung? It's my feeling, this is my heartfelt for him. I can't stop it." Jungkook replied.

"You can, you can stop it, Jungkook if you don't want him to hate you." Jin retorted.

"Why he will hate me just because I love him? Is that wrong, hyung? I'm sure he loves me too." Jungkook argued.

"Yes, he loves you but as his brother. He doesn't see you more than that. Do you understand me, Jungkook?" Jin stated.

"But he's not my real brother, were not even blood related, what's wrong if I try to love him?" Jungkook retorted.

"You're hurting yourself, in the end, he'll reject you. Do you want him to regret taking care of you?" Jin inquired.

"I don't care if he rejects me, I only know that I love him and you can't stop me about that." Jungkook replied.

"And what are you going to do? Force him to love you more than a brother? That's the reason why you hate everyone who's trying to date him, right? You want to own him that's why you want him to avoid everyone." Jin stated.

"What's wrong with that? I'm also protecting him, don't you see what happened to him after you let that Michael date him? See, they thought he's a criminal now." Jungkook fired back.

"Are you blaming me? Wow, let me remind you, know your limits as his BROTHER. Don't cross the lines if you don't want him to hate you." Jin argued.

"He'll never hate me unlike you." Jungkook retorted.

"I don't want him to ruin his life, don't you ever think that if he loves you back, he will lose everything that he has. Look at your age gap, it's 5 years, Jungkook. He's OLDER than you and everyone knows that you are his BROTHER. He might not hate you but everyone who knows about you will surely hate and disgust him." Jin added.

"I don't care about their opinions, hyung! It's my life, I can do whatever I want, I can choose who I will love. Why do I need to listen to them if I know who I am? I know myself better than them! They're nothing to me!" Jungkook replied. 

"Why don't you just come back to your mother? She's here to get you, she comes back for you? Don't you think that's a good decision if you come back to your OWN family?" Jin asked and smirked.

"Why do I need to go back to them? Did they ever treat me as their family? No, they threw me away as if I'm trash. I'm not a kid, I can choose and decide for myself. And I decided to love hyung whether you like it or not, hyung." Jungkook retorted.

"Let see how long your confidence is, trust me, he rather wants to see you happy with someone than to be his lover. I'm sure he'll be proud to see you with your someone." Jin smirked.

Jungkook's hands balled in a fist while glaring at Jin.

"What's happening here, hyung? Are you two fighting?" Taehyung asked while rubbing his eyes.

"No, we're not fighting. I just accidentally louder my voice since Jungkook barely hear me, right Jungkook?" Jin smiled.

"Yes, hyung." Jungkook mumbled.

"How's your class, Jungkook? I heard it's your midterm exam next week." Taehyung asked going near to Jungkook.

"Hmm, I'm reviewing with my friends." Jungkook replied looking at Taehyung.

"That's good to hear, I hope you pass. Good luck to my future businessman and lawyer." Taehyung giggled.

Jungkook gave him a tight-lipped smile.

"Taehyung, why don't you let him study in his room so he can focus? You might distract him, he needs to focus." Jin stated.

"Oh, right. Go to your room, Jungkook, study well. I'll reward you." Taehyung said, patting Jungkook's shoulder.

Jungkook simply hummed in response.

"Go now, Jungkook, come here Taehyung, help me. Your hyungs will come later to eat with you." Jin said taking out the ingredients.

"Okay, hyung." Taehyung responded and went beside Jin.

Jungkook looked at Jin but Jin glared at him while Taehyung was looking for knives. Jungkook left the kitchen and went to his room.

"What's wrong with Jungkook? He seems lost." Taehyung muttered.

"Don't mind him, he's a student, maybe he's just stressed." Jin replied while boiling water.

"You're right, I thought you scolded him or something." Taehyung giggled.

Jin just giggled but quickly faded away.

"Do you get any updates, Jimin?" Yoongi asked when they were inside the car.

"Apparently, I got a picture. That lieutenant and Karen were having a meeting in a restaurant. I'm sure there's something suspicious with those two. They kept pushing that Taehyung a criminal." Jimin replied.

"Focus on them, they might talk about something." Namjoon uttered.

Jimin hummed in response while holding the pictures.
