Chapter 2: Knowing

Jungkook groans, he felt his headache and something warm covering him. He slightly opened his eyes and a sudden light welcomed him.

He rubbed his eyes, seeing a guy through the door, contacting someone. He was now in an unknown room, laying on a bed with a duvet covering his body. He felt numb but a little fine.

The same guy, which was Taehyung glanced at him, Taehyung smiled at him, unbeknownst to Jungkook, he felt his cheeks heated up before Taehyung glancing back at the phone, look likes he ended the calls.

Jungkook cleared his throat when Taehyung coming inside the room. Jungkook can't help but think the guy in front of him was beautiful and captivating.

"Hi, you're awake, how are you?" Taehyung inquired sitting on the chair beside the bed where Jungkook was lying.

"I'm fine." Jungkook simply replied with a hint of monotonous tone in his voice.

But deep inside, he was melting in the guy's beautiful eyes. He shuddered when he heard the guy's deep voice, it made him felt relax.

"I'm Kim Taehyung, and you are?" Taehyung started, smiling softly at him.

"Jeon Jungkook." Jungkook retorted, turning his face on the left side, doesn't want to look at him.

"It's nice to meet you, Jungkook, by the way, I called the police, they can help you to go back to your home since you don't want to tell me where you live." Taehyung stated.

"I don't have a home." Jungkook mumbled, his heart clenching when he remembered that his mom abandoned him.

"Uh, what is it? I can't hear you." Taehyung inquired, he wasn't lying, he didn't hear it clearly.

"I don't have a home, they abandoned me because I'm useless." Jungkook uttered when he looked at Taehyung.

Taehyung can see the pain in Jungkook's eyes. He pitied the boy, he looks young when he got abandoned.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked you about it." Taehyung said, biting his bottom lip.

"It's okay, you don't know about it." Jungkook sighed.

"But where are you going to stay? I mean, do you have friends to stay in? Or relatives?" Taehyung asked.

"I don't know, I don't have friends, my relatives hate my family. I guess I'll stay on the thoroughfare." Jungkook retorted.

Taehyung is soft-hearted, he will hate himself if he let the younger boy live in the street.

"Ahm, you can stay here, besides, I'm alone here. I don't mind taking care of you." Taehyung smiled genuinely.

"But I don't have money, I can't pay you." Jungkook replied, sitting down on the bed.

"It's okay, you can help me doing chores here in my house, that would be fine." Taehyung stated.

Jungkook stared at him, maybe, he can trust him? Right? He looks like a kind person.

"Tuh-thank you." Jungkook shyly retorted.

"You're welcome." Taehyung giggled.

He ruffled Jungkook's hair who felt the heat rose to his cheeks.

"Anyways, where the school are you attending? Or are you still studying?" Taehyung inquired curiously.

"I-I dropped off because I always making trouble." Jungkook said, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Oh, that's bad, do you want to study?" Taehyung asked.

Jungkook forthwith nodded his head with his innocent doe eyes.

"Then, I'll enroll you, my friend, Hoseok hyung, he's a teacher, he can help us to let you study." Taehyung explained.

"Bu--"

"Don't worry about the money, Hobi hyung will surely help us, and Jin hyung too, he's rich, he can buy the school where you'll attend." Taehyung chuckled

"That's a lot of help, thank you." Jungkook was overwhelmed, he has a friend now?

"Ah, I made soup for you, wait, I'll bring it here." Taehyung said and he stood up.

He leaves the room, taking the soup, and coming back to the room. He set down the soup on the chair where he sat until he heard the doorbell rang.

"Sip the soup, I'll check the door." Taehyung uttered.

Jungkook nodded his head when Taehyung leave the room once again. He opened the door, seeing Choi with the umbrella.

"Mr. Choi, what are you doing here?" Taehyung inquired.

"You called in our district, where's the boy now? We'll investigate him and trace his address." Choi retorted.

"Ah sir, I forgot that boy was my long-lost friend back then. I'm sorry Mr. Choi for bothering you." Taehyung said embarrassedly, bowing his head 90° and lying.

"It's alright, Taehyung, it's my work, and you didn't bother me. Anyways, I have to go." Choi replied.

"Okay, sorry again, Mr. Choi." Taehyung bowed his head once again when Mr. Choi leave his house.

Taehyung sighed, he closed the door, getting back where Jungkook was. He saw the bowl was empty.

"How is it? Did you like it?" Taehyung asked.

"It's delicious." Jungkook responded with a smile.

"That's good to hear, do you want more?" Taehyung inquired.

"No, I felt full already." Jungkook replied.

"Okay, don't be shy if you want to ask for more, I won't get mad." Taehyung giggled.

"Thank you, hyung." Jungkook smiled.

"You're welcome, you can go back to sleep, I'll wash the dishes, and introduce you to my hyungs. Don't be scared of them, I swear, they were good friends of mine." Taehyung said, raising his palm.

"As you say, hyung." Jungkook sighed.

"Good night, sleep well." Taehyung muttered, leaving the room and closing the door.

Jungkook watched Taehyung left his room, he don't know but he felt comfortable with him even though it was the first time he met him. Maybe, because it was the first time someone took care of him and become his first friend. It was his first to feel someone was on his side.

He never feel it with his parents, they just saw him as a useless kid or worst just trash. What good and perfect parents they are.

He wiped his cheeks, he didn't notice that he was crying. He laid down on the bed and let the darkness engulfed him.
