Next day, Anu was dreading to go to the office. She is scared that what she had to see more. She is more concerned than scared wondering what happened to Siddharth suddenly.

Why he is behaving nicely? Why he is smiling at her? Why is not behaving cold? What's happening?

She scolded herself many times for acting impulsively in front of him. She couldn't see his blood and him in pain. And before she knows she got panicked and started crying in front of him.

She is unable to sleep whole night thinking about all these and concludes that Siddharth's behaviour definitely had to do something with that idiot Karthik because she caught him smirking at her and Sid many times.

She entered into the office shrugging all the thoughts and thought to concentrate on her work.

When she reached her floor, she met with utter silence and saw everyone standing shocked in their places. She looked confused at them who seemed shocked to the core as she saw their wide eyes and open mouths.

She went to her desk to know what happened and looked at Raj and Neha who looked equally shocked.

" Guys what happened?" Anu asked worried.

They turned blinking their eyes and looked at their confused yet concerned friend.

" You don't believe what we just saw?" Raj said shaking his head.

" What?" She raised her brows.

" Siddharth Khurana walking into the office smiling, greeting everyone with a smile and the skipping and bouncing of his steps while walking, just like a kid who walks happily when he gets his favorite ice cream or toys." Neha described with wide eyes and look of disbelief on her face making Anu even more shocked.

" You should have seen him Anu! I am sure whole office is going insane by now as to know what happened to him." Raj said making her sigh in frustration.

What happened to him?

If only then knew that she is experiencing this from yesterday itself.

She saw the time and was already 10 minutes late. She ran into the cafe to get his coffee and ran upstairs to his office.

She composed herself and knocked on his door.

" Come in." Came the calm voice.

What happened to his cold tone?

May be he stopped sleeping in the fridge.....she thought and mentally smacked herself for thinking again about him sleeping in the fridge.

" Sir, your coffee. Sorry Sir, I was a bit late." She said keeping the coffee on the table and looked at him.

" No problem Ms. Agarwal." He said sweetly smiling at her.

" What happened to........" She was about to say something but stopped immediately looking at him with wide shocked eyes.

" You were saying something?" Sid asked acting confused.

While she stood rooted in her place looking at him in her favourite colour shirt that too which was gifted to him by her. She remembered correctly it was that shirt only as it has that unique design in white near the buttons which she loved very much.

She had to admit he is looking damm hot in that shirt and the Blazer he was wearing matched perfectly with the shirt making him look even more sexy.

Seriously Anu! Hot and Sexy?

What? You can't blame me when he is looking like that!!!

She cleared her throat shaking the thoughts in her head voilently and took deep breaths to control her racing heart.

While he looked at her amused by her expressions of starstruck, bewilderment and confusion.

" Are you alright Ms. Agarwal?" Sid asked her smirking when he realised that she recognized his shirt.

" Huh?.....umm yeah." She said unsure.

He got up from his seat and stood in front of her giving her the full view of his shirt which is looking great on him. She gulped the lump formed in her throat looking at him and his shirt.

She couldn't handle anymore. She is not able to breathe also as the past memories are clouding her brain making her vision blur with tears. She closed her eyes tightly breathing heavily and looked at him blankly.

" Sir, I need to organize the meeting for you to attend which is in an hour, so please excuse me." She said and left from there quickly.

She ran into the washroom closing  the door behind and leaned on to the door closing her eyes.

Why is he doing this?

What is he getting by doing all this?

Why is he wearing the shirt that she gave to him?

Isn't he supposed to hate me?

Or Is this the part of his hate to make me miserable?

He is making the situation more difficult than already it is.

Why God Why?

Tears rolled down her cheeks which she wiped away and prepared herself for the work.

" Why you called me so urgently?" Karthik asked flopping onto the seat in front of Siddharth.

" Nothing happened." Sid said disappointed.

" What?" He frowned.

" You said to wear the shirt that she gave me and then said that she will react to it which may give away her feelings." Sid said glaring at him.

" Yeah." He shrugged.

" But she didn't. She just looked blankly at me and the shirt then informed me about the meeting and stormed away from here." Sid explained defeatedly.

" Oh."

" Oh? You only have that to say." Sid asked in rage.

" Then what am I supposed to say? I thought it would work but I didn't know that she is that hard to crack." Karthik exclaimed.

" So what now?" Sid asked sighing.

" Don't worry I have some other plan also." Karthik says to him proudly.

" Which is?" Sid raised his brows.

" First, Call her here." He ordered.

" Then?"

" I will trip her." Karthik said.

" I will kill you." Sid growled.

" Calm down Sid, there isn't any other way!" Karthik argued.

" But I can't just let you to make her fall." Sid hissed at him.

" Do you have any better idea?" He asked annoyed.

" Just think of something else!" Sid said frustrated.

" We can't neither go and ask her to show her the locket nor take it out and look at it for ourselves.....so this is the only option we have." Karthik made his point.

" Ok but be careful." Sid let out a defeated sigh.

" Ok man listen..... When she comes here I will try to trip her and make her fall and you look for the locket whether she is wearing it or not." Karthik said making Sid cringe.

" You will be here right, I am sure you will catch her definitely." Karthik tried to convince him.

" Ok." Sid muttered unwillingly.

" But make sure that you notice the locket before she hides it if she is wearing it." Karthik cautioned him.

" Umm.....ok but what if it backfires?" Sid raised his doubt.

" Then we will again trip her to find out."Karthik shrugged.

" No! She is a human being and a girl for God sake. We can't just make her fall and hurt her again and again. We better do it for the first time itself." Sid shouted at him.

" Oh.....worrying about her getting hurt huh? Don't worry I will make sure not to hurt her." Karthik smirked.

" You better not hurt her." Sid warned.

" Ok boss..... Now, call her." Karthik saluted him.

" Ok." Sid sighed.

" I can't believe I am being Cupid for your love story." Karthik boosted himself.

" I can't believe it either." Sid muttered.

" Just follow my steps and call her." Karthik said rolling his eyes earning a death glare from Sid.

" Oh my my.....the great, cold, angry Siddharth Khurana is back again." Karthik announced and laughed at his own words.

" Shut up."

Anu was making the report of the today's meeting when Siddharth called her to bring some files. She sighed taking the files with her and reached his floor.

" Come in." She heard him say and went in.

When she entered, she was greeted by a grinning Karthik and a nervous Sid. She furrowed her eyebrows thinking that whenever Karthik is around something or the other goes wrong. She wonders what will happen now.

She sighs and walks towards them. Karthik sighed at Siddharth who nodded his head. When she was about to pass Karthik, he extended his foot to trip her.

But Anu who didn't have any idea about what's going there walks past Karthik stepping on his foot with her pointed heels which made him yelp in pain.

Anu jumped in her place startled by the painful groan of Karthik which also made Sid jump from his seat. Both of them looked at the person in front of them who is crying in pain clutching his foot. One with puzzled look and the other with knowing look.

" What happened?" Anu asked him worried going near him.

" You stomped your bloody heel onto my foot." Karthik hissed in pain.

" But why did you kept your foot out?" Anu asked him frowning.

" Just like that.....you know to relax." Karthik covered himself.

" Oh! Sorry." She said and looked at Sid who is glaring at Karthik.

" Sir, your files." She handed him some files.

" Thank you." He said taking the files.

She nodded and turned to leave but stumbled on a file on the floor. She was about to face plant herself on the ground but strong arm grip on her waist stopped her from falling.

She is hanging on his arm and all her hair came onto her face as she is in bending position on his arm. She sighed in relief and felt tingles on her waist where he was touching her.

And on the other hand, Karthik who was bended due to pain in his foot looked up to see Sid holding Anu from falling. Karthik immediately tried to look for the locket in between her hair.

Anu stood up composing herself moving away from Sid and adjusted her hair and clothes.

" Thank you Sir." She said to Sid and left from there.

Sid looked at Karthik who is staring at the floor thoughtfully.

" Karthik." Sid called him calmly.

Karthik looked up slowly at Sid with a disappointed look on his face. Sid frowned and infact was scared looking at him who is shaking his head from Side to side disappointedly.
