I retired to one of the rooms in the tavern, two of my men guarding my door.  I slept for a good few hours, it was Madi who woke me up. It took me a little while for my hearing to adjust before her words graced my ears. "Your father wishes to speak to you," she said.

"Why?" I asked stretching and yawning.

"Because he needs to discuss an urgent matter with you," she said.

"Tell him I'll be there in a minute," I said dragging my hand down my face. A few moments later I was up, pulled on my hat, coat and laced up my leather gauntlets. I walked down the stairs lacing up my left one when I raised my head Silver was waiting for me. "What do you want? Wait, where's Flint?"

"That's what I need to talk to you about," he said and lead me over to a table.

"Spill," I said impatiently and crossed my arms over my chest.

"We made a deal..." I interrupted him.

"You made a deal?"

"Hear me out," he said.

"Keep going," I said tapping my ringed fingers against the table.

"I have made a deal with Elenor, and she has Flint, if our deal is not met then she will kill him but I need you to oversee an escort and require three of your men," he explained.

"I refuse to escort Elenor,"  I said.

"It won't be Elenor, but her servant," he said.

"Servant?" I asked sitting forward.

"She wants to send a message to The Governor, Woodes Rogers, and also wants to return to London," he said.

"So let me get this right, you want me and my men to escort a woman we've never met to the enemy?" I said holding back a laugh.

"Yes," he nodded, "so will you do it?"

"I guess," I said, "where and when do  I need to be?"

"Noon and the main gate from the fort, the men have been briefed and they are to allow the escort and the woman to walk the streets unhurt," he said.

"Fine," I said standing and walked out of the tavern Angus joined me.

"I am guessing you got your orders," he said as we headed to the beach, I ordered the two nearest men to come with us. We mounted our horses and rode up to the fort, my father and his now acting advisor stood with him. As if clockwork the woman emerged, she walked behind my horse, she had two on either side of her and Angus rode behind her. As we descended the slope all the men watched us in silence. Even if she tried talking to any of us she was met with silence, I could see the Governor's ship waiting, floating not far out from the harbour. We escorted her to the beach where two soldiers waited for her.

They pointed their guns at us, we parted and watched as she walked onto the longboat and it was rowed out to the ship. Angus and I rode to Silver along the beach while the two of my men returned to their posts. We watched as the Governor's ship sailed away. "He shouldn't bother us anymore," Angus said.

"I hope not," I said, when we reached Silver he was stood with Billy. "It is done."He took my horse's reins and patted his neck.

"Thank you," he said.

"There's one thing he didn't tell you," Billy said, Silver shot a look his way. I leant forward in the saddle.

"That was?"

"Billy shut it!" he snarled.

"No, she needs to know, you promised her apart of it," he said.

"This better not involve the cash?" I asked.

"Okay, it is being traded for the island and Fort and we avoid a war we aren't going to win," he said.

"What?" I growled.

"I didn't agree to that, Flint handed himself over before I could stop him," Silver said.

"You're weak!" I snapped.

"What would you have done?" he asked.

"Come to another agreement," I said.

"It's too late to change it, you've already started the transaction," he said,

"If I knew I was losing my cut of the gems I wouldn't have helped you," I replied and trotted off with Angus tailing me.
