Gianina was shaken awake the next morning viciously.The young Salvatore girl was not a morning person and being up early two days in a row didn't suit her.She was always a pretty nice girl but,lack of sleep made her grumpy.

"Wake up,little sister you have school today."Damon kept shaking her over and over again.

"I'm too old for school!"she whined before hitting him with a pillow.

"Yeah?well i'm not running a daycare for my siblings but,somehow you are both here."he yanked the blankets off of her.

"You are the worst."Gia sat up and glared at her brother.

"Save the teen melodrama for high school."he threw some clothes at her."I did you the favor of getting you teenager clothes because you dress like an old lady."

"Can you get out?"she pointed to the door.

"My pleasure."he sent her a fake smile before exiting the room and allowing her to change.

"This is what I deserve for helping my brothers?figures."the Salvatore girl mumbled before getting dressed.

"Stefan asked me to bring this to you."Gia held a ring out for Jeremy."It has some herbs that will protect you from well...people like me."she shrugged.

"It'll save me from compulsion?"he asked.

"Has someone compelled you?"Gia looked at the Gilbert boy expectantly.

"Damon."Jeremy nodded.

"I'm not surprised..."the two went into an awkward silence after that statement.

"So,a stake to the heart would kill you?"Jeremy asked.

"Yeah,a wood one though.Why?Do you plan on killing me?"the Salvatore girl joked.

"What..?"Jeremy's eyes widened."No,of course not.I think you are my favorite Salvatore."

"That's good to hear."Gia laughed.

"You are kind of confident in yourself to show me different ways to kill you though."Jeremy said.

"If I actually thought for one second you wanted to kill me things between us would probably be much different."Gia shrugged her shoulders.

"Damon is the one that deserves it."Jeremy commented.

"My brother is...himself but,he has a lot of reasons to be,okay?Just forget about him.He's much stronger than all of us and would probably crush you.Plus,with this whole Katherine thing he's not very stable."The Salvatore girl folded her arms over her chest."Let's just move forward and not backward."

"I was killed by a vampire and brought back by a magical ring.How do you move forward from that?"The Gilbert boy asked.

"Apparently,we have a carnival to distract us from everything."Gianina put her arm out."Let's go see what your sister wants us to do."

Jeremy laughed and hooked his arm around hers and the two of them walked down the hallway with their arms interlocked.

"I think the Lockwoods have a family secret,because the Gilbert device affected them,vervain didn't so,they aren't vampires.They are something else."Damon said trying to steer away from the awkward topic of conversation that is Katherine Pierce.

"Is this your new obsession?"Stefan asked him.

"Oh,you'd rather some unknown supernatural element running rampant in our town?Fine,i'll drop it."Damon shrugged.

"It's not random."Gianina shook her head.

"What do you mean?"Stefan asked.Both of her brothers turned their attention to her.

"Remember when I was supposed to marry George Lockwood?"Gia asked her brothers.

"Yes,get to the point."Damon urged her.

"Well,he was a...werewolf."the Salvatore girl closed her eyes waiting for her brothers to laugh at her.

"That's impossible."Stefan shook his head."Werewolves aren't real."

"Katherine knew he was one and she told me the truth when I was set to marry him."Gia informed them.

"Speaking of Katherine,we haven't seen the last of her and we don't know what she is planning."Stefan said.

Damon scoffed."Sure,we do.She came back to profess her undying,eternal love for you two so,one of you can deal with her cause,I have more important things to do like...explode."Damon left the room with a drink in his hand.

"She told you she loved you?"Gianina asked her brother.

"Yup."Stefan nodded.

Gia just let out a sigh.Deep down,it stung her that Katherine loved her and her brother.Maybe even both of her brothers but,what could she do about it?Absolutely nothing.

"Thanks for the popcorn."Gianina popped a piece of it in her mouth."I think you are my best friend here."

"Same goes to you."Jeremy smiled but,it faded away once Damon came up to the both of them.

"Aren't you a little old for carnivals?"Jeremy asked.

"About 150 years too old but,so is my sister."Damon stole some popcorn from their bucket.

"Oh,you're pretty funny cracking jokes when I could,I don't know,blow the lid off this whole thing by telling someone what you really are."Jeremy said with a glare.

"You would do that?"Gia asked with sad eyes.

Before Jeremy could answer,Damon took him behind the popcorn truck by his neck.

"Damon,don't hurt him."Gia warned.

"Please tell me that is not a threat."Damon said to the Gilbert boy as he ignored his sister.

"Maybe it is."Jeremy held up his ring.

"He could take that off,Jer...please don't make him angry."Gianina begged her new best friend.

Damon swung Jeremy around and started to choke him.

"This is what we are not going to do.We're not going to walk around like we are invincible when it's this easy for me to end you."Damon pushed Jeremy to the ground.

After that,he strutted away happily.

"Jeremy.."Gianina tried to apologize.

"Forget it."Jeremy walked away quickly and Gia let out a sigh.

"Gianina wants to go."Damon called out.Stefan and Damon both agreed they were not going to challenge Mason Lockwood.

"I guess i'm next."Gia walked over with a smile.

"Yeah,sure.I'll give you a shot."Mason smiled at her.

"Are you assuming I can't beat you because i'm a girl?"Gia asked as she rolled up her sleeve.

"Maybe."Mason kept his eyes on her as the two of them steadied their arms in preparation for the arm wrestle.

"Well,my brothers over there think I might just be able to beat you."Gia commented making Tyler chuckle.

"Your brother's wrong."Mason said while he looked into her eyes.The two of them started using their arms to beat one another.

"Maybe."Gia put in a little of her strength but,Mason was strong so,she needed to put in more.

The two of them kept sizing each other up during the wrestle figuring out who would budge first but,Gia was becoming tired so,she stopped using her strength and let Mason win.

A bell sounded off and Tyler cheered for his uncle.

"Good try."Mason shrugged his shoulders.

"Maybe i'll win next time."Gia smiled at him and walked towards her brothers.

"You didn't try."Damon said through his teeth.

"Uh,yeah I did.He's strong.Like I said,wolf."Gianina laughed.

"No,that doesn't make sense.What the hell are they?"Damon looked around.

"Maybe they are ninja turtles."Stefan joked.

"You two never listen to me.Don't come begging for my help when you find out i'm telling the truth."Gia shrugged and walked away.

"Christ Jeremy!What are you doing here?"Gianina asked as she walked into the Salvatore boarding house.

She decided to just go home after her brothers didn't believe her.What was the point of them asking her here if they were just going to ignore her?

"I came to say sorry."He said with a frown.

"For what?"Gianina let out a sigh."My brother has both killed you and threatened you.I do not blame you for distancing yourself."

"Yeah,but,you aren't your brother so i'm sorry."Jeremy apologized.

Gianina went to pour herself a drink but,Jeremy stopped her.

"I laced that with vervain."Jeremy informed her."For Damon."

"Well,he'll be home soon.I think you two should settle your differences."Gia smiled and started to walk up the stairs.

"Gia?"Jeremy called out.Gianina quickly turned her head to look at him.

"Goodnight."
