Chuuya had been at his mother's house for two days. When he first arrived, he was broken. He broke out into an uncontrollable fit of sobs in front of Kouyou. Kouyou didn't ask any questions and he was grateful for that. She figured that maybe he just didn't want to talk about it right now, and she was right. So instead she just hugged him close and tightly to her chest, and she shushed him soothingly and rubbed his back until his sobs finally calmed down. Chuuya finally admitted to Kouyou what had happened. She told Chuuya he was more than welcome to stay as long as he needed to with Rei. That she understands right now he doesn't want to go home or deal with it. Chuuya looked over at his sleeping toddler and he smiled. He gently rubbed his fingers through his brunette curls as Rei was cuddled up to Chuuya's chest. Chuuya was nervous. Today was the day that Rei and Dazai would meet for the first time. And he was panicking. The only father Rei had known for so long was Fyodor. Chuuya figured Rei would have a horrible time adjusting. He just hoped in the end it all blew over well.

Chuuya was pulled from his racing thoughts as he felt the tiny body next to him stir awake. Chuuya was met with striking blue eyes like his, and Rei giggled as he kissed Chuuya's nose happily. "Morning Mama!" Rei said happily as he smiled at Chuuya.

"Goodmorning munchkin." Chuuya said smiling.

Rei leaned up and he sighed contently as he smelled waffles. "Obaa is making waffles!" Rei said happily as he jumped off the bed and ran down the stairs.

"Rei be careful!" Chuuya yelled as he toddler continued to run anyway. Chuuya shook his head smiling and he pulled himself out of bed and went to go look in the mirror. Chuuya sighed as he looked at himself. He looked rough. You could tell he spent his days at home crying when Rei was asleep and staying to himself. Chuuya started to brush his teeth as he listened to the happy squeals his son was giving off down stairs.

"Waffles are served." Kouyou said sitting the waffles on the table. Kouyou walked to the edge of the stairs. "Chuuya breakfast is ready honey!"

"I'm coming!" Chuuya yelled as he did one last final brush through his ginger hair. Chuuya walked out of the bathroom and he had changed into the clothes he had picked out the night before. Chuuya put on some blue pants with a red button up shirt. Over the button up shirt he put on a white and yellow striped jacket with yellow oxfords, he had on a blue fedora and with it he had his signature choker to top off the outfit. Chuuya smiled as he was actually fine with this attire for the day ahead of them. Chuuya walked out of his old bedroom and down the stairs into the kitchen. Kouyou looked at Chuuya and she smiled at him as she did.

"Well don't you look handsome." She said as she wiped her hands clean.

"Mama looks pretty!" Rei complimented.

Chuuya blushed and he smiled. "Thank you." Chuuya said as he kissed Kouyou on the cheek before sitting down.

Rei had just finished off his waffles as Chuuya sat down. "Mama I finished." Rei said as he looked at Chuuya.

"Alright. Think you can go brush your teeth and dress yourself like a big boy?" Chuuya asked.

"Mmm." Rei nodded as he got up from the table and Chuuya watched as Rei ran upstairs to get changed.

Kouyou sat across from Chuuya sipping her coffee smiling. "So, what's this all about? You haven't dressed this fancy in three years."

Chuuya smiled. "Nothing really. Just wanted to look nice today."

"For Dazai or yourself?"

Chuuya blushed violently and he stuttered embarrassed as he dug into his waffles. "For myself!"

Kouyou laughed as she clearly knew that was a lie.

"Chuuya?" Kouyou said softly as Chuuya looked up at her.

"I am glad you're giving Dazai the chance to see Rei. To be in his life. But with you both. Don't rush into things okay? And about Fyodor... I'm not saying he was right by a long shot. He wasn't. But- he had been a father to Rei as well for the last three years. Do keep that in mind."

"I will... Thanks Mom..."

Chuuya suddenly heard the doorbell ring and he stood up and walked to the front door. Chuuya opened the door and he was greeted by Dazai who had on khaki pants, with a white shirt and blue cardigan. Dazai smiled as he looked at Chuuya.

"You look beautiful..." Dazai commented.

Chuuya coughed embarrassed as he turned his head to the side. "Thank you..."

"Also, these are for you." Dazai said smiling as he held out a bouquet of red camellias.

Chuuya smelled the camellias and he smiled. "Thank you."

"Mama! Mama!" Rei said as he ran down the stairs. "Mommy! I can't tie my bow!"

"Oh no." Chuuya said. "We'll have to fix that, hm?" Chuuya and Rei both laughed as Chuuya tied Rei's bow. "There." Chuuya said smiling. "All done. And soooo handsome."

Chuuya said as he pinched Rei's cheeks. Dazai watched them contently and his heart swelled as he looked at his son for the first time in 3 years. Chuuya turned around with Rei standing in front of him and Chuuya and Rei both smiled at him. Dazai kneeled down smiling.

"Hi Papa! I'm Nakahara Rei." He said smiling as he ran into Dazai's arms hugging him tightly. "Mama told me a lot about you. I'm happy to meet you!" Rei said excited as he held on to Dazai's cardigan sleeves and smiled looking up at him.

Dazai sniffled as tears slipped down his face and he smiled as he pulled his son back into his tight embrace. "I'm happy to meet you too Rei..."

Chuuya smiled as he looked at both of them. He was excited to see the bond between Dazai and Rei grow.
