You're going about your day as normal, only there's something...different about today.

You feel as if someone is watching you everywhere you go.

When you get the perfect opportunity, you turn to see who your stalker is.

You then look and see a yellow fox with two tails not far from you.

You now know Tails has been watching you.

Today, we'll be pitting you, the average person against Miles "Tails" Prowler, Team Sonic's genius.

Not much is completely confirmed about Tails past.

While the video games have remained vague, other media has given him some impressive backstory.

In Sonic X, it's mentioned that he was an orphan who was left behind and was picked on for his two tails and his inventions.

In the Archie comics, Tails was born in a hospital during the exact same day Robotnik took over the world.

Regardless of what backstory is picked, Tails eventually runs into his hero, Sonic, who adopts him as his best friend and brother along with being his sidekick.

You don't know why he's after you.

Maybe you helped Robotnik take over during the day he was born?

Maybe you picked on him when he was younger?

(Or maybe "You vs Sonic" is canon to this and Tails is seeking revenge?)

Regardless, he's coming for you.

So just what are you up against?

And how can you beat him?

The most important thing to know about in every encounter with him is his intelligence.

Tails is able to outsmart Dr Eggman, who supposedly has an IQ of 300!

That's smarter than the world record IQ!

Tails is also loaded with gadgets he can use, ranging from bombs, a communication tablet and an arm canon

His pride accomplishment though, is the Tornado.

The Tornado was originally a biplane that Sonic used until Tails was given it.

Since then, he's always been known for fixing it and upgrading it.

It's shifted back and forth from being a jet, a mech, a spacecraft and biplane again.

And as you would expect, he's loaded it with missiles and lasers.

You can easily say that Tails is the most prepared opponent for this fight you'll ever have.

He could easily set a trap for you and end the fight before you can make your "master plan".

So how do you outsmart a young genius who's more intelligent than Einstein and Hawking combined?

First you have to know that Tails isn't as good as anyone at hand to hand combat or any melee for that matter.

Tails could swing his tails at you, but that's the only wild card he can throw at you in a close up fight.

The downside is that he won't let you get that close to him easily.

Since he has loads of ranged weapons, he could easily change it from a fist fight to a shoot out.

If you want to beat him, you'll need to remove anything that could put distance between you and him.

This is where you'll become the stalker for this scenario.

Keep watching Tails and see him work on his inventions.

If you know how Tails built them, you could easily find the right time to sneak into his workshop and mess with his inventions.

Though you'll want to do this after Tails is confident that it'll work, so your trap will catch him off guard when he uses it.

But Tails isn't completely dumb though. When he notices something you forgot about, he'll try to fix what you did.

You need to not only sabotage his tools, but also have control of the battlefield you'll be in.

I recommend a large open field as your spot.

While this does give plenty of room for the Tornado to fly circles around you, whenever you manage to get the plane down, Tails can't hide behind anything for cover.

Before you go out there, you have two inventions you need to sabotage

For Tails arm canon, just find a way to rewire it, and see if what you did works

You're main invention to ruin though, is the Tornado itself.

While your first instinct is to use a rocket launcher and blow the plane out of the sky, Tails is a skilled pilot and won't be taken down from the sky that well.

You need to rig the ride to blow up during flight so Tails main weapon can't be used against you.

While you could just look up how to make a explosive, don't get mad at me when the FBI show up at your doorstep.

Instead, I would recommend trying to find a way to get your hands on some nitroglycerin.

Nitroglycerin is a highly explosive chemical used in things like dynamite and cannons.

It is to be treated with extreme caution due to how sensitive it is.

Too much shaking will cause a whole bottle of it to become a grenade exploding in your face.

But you aren't using it to make explosives, because it will be the explosive.

If you pour enough of it inside the Tornado's gas tank, Tails won't even acknowledge it's there.

Likely, Tails starting the engine will immediately kill him with the massive explosion of his plane.

Even if he does manage to fly the plane to your battlefield, the tank will eventually blow up anyways.

As an added bonus, Tails could also be carrying his bombs with him, meaning the explosion is perfect enough to kill him.

But what if he does manage to survive your chemical bomb?

If he does, he'll be critically injured and won't be able to fly away with his tails

This leaves him with the option to fight you on the ground.

If you didn't mess with his arm canon in the lab, you would have to be quick and disarm him of it.

Now Tails has to take you on with his fists, which you're ready for.

All you'll really have to worry about is dodging those tails of his.

Once Tails realizes he can't defeat you here, he'll try to make a run for it on foot.

Either tackle him or shoot him to prevent his escape.

Your final move should be to make sure he can't contact help by getting rid of any devices he's holding.

Congratulations! You've defeated Tails at his own game with simple knowledge.

Now let's hope that the world can survive now that you got rid of Eggman's only enemies.

In summary, Tails may be smart, but can't take brute force on.
